I wanted to write a positive review because these days there are few car repair shops that will explain things to you and many of them will rip you off. This repair shop is legit, professional and you pay the price that is on the wall!
We moved into the Arlington area about 4 years ago in January 2012. That summer the A/C in our Honda Civic started blowing hot air. The car had sporadically done this since new and each time we took it into the dealer for evaluation "nothing" was found and it would blow cold air again, of course there was a charge we paid for the service. When the car started doing this in 2012 we took the care to the local Honda dealer who advised us that we needed a whole new A/C system to the tune of $1500. Because we did not know anyone in the area we thought we would try Auto AC & Electrical. Best thing we ever did. Bob the owner told us that this particular Honda had issues with the computer and that all it took was a simple reset, which he did. So we happily paid him the rate on his wall for his trouble (not to mention the wealth of knowledge he has probably accumulated in all the years of his line of work) and went on our way.
Two years later (I don't remember exactly) the same thing happened but now we lived east of Denton. We still brought it down to Arlington to have them reset the A/C again and this time the owner kindly printed out instruction on how to reset the A/C myself. Just a couple of buttons and done.
Well a couple of weeks ago the A/C again blew hot air and no amount of reset helped. So yesterday off I go to Arlington again. Within 1/2 hour he had replace a relay switch and the A/C was good again all for $50! Bob is a pleasant person, willing to discuss your car problem, nothing but professional and friendly!
In reference to the 4/2014 review, I totally understand why the owner would not want a child in the work area even if they seem nowhere near tools, just too many things that can go wrong! Owners carry insurance but sometimes it will not cover if the workshop is a prohibited area for customers. Parents need to respect the owners workplace. As for the charge, check the clearly posted hourly rate, if he spent an hour or two then that is what is charged.
This is not a high gloss, fancy shop. It is a good old fashion working repair shop, the owner and his staff get the work done and they do it well, so hard to find these days! read more
