It's a small shop, but service is good and I have always enjoyed shopping here. Their biggest sell is their large selection of classic rock, folk, and pop vinyl. I'm shocked at how much space they have for their games because it's almost like walking into a warehouse full of games, anime figurines, and merch. Everything out in the open games are shrink wrapped and it does help keep that minty fresh condition, I'm sure you don't want to see dust on items you want to buy. The back section used to be an open spot where they would host events. The Gamers Exchange was what I looked forward to the most when going here. Local sellers sold games and it brought a sense of community. There's now more of their section to test and repair consoles so I suppose it's for the better but those were the days.. Apart from all the cool video games to check out I have a few complaints. Like many, checking out here takes too long and I wonder if it's just something where their point of sales is just outdated. Even then, there's only one person just checking out people.. why not have more than one register at a time? There's the option to use WiFi but I could never get it to work. Although there are computers around to look up items that you want to check the price on, it can be a tad slow sometimes. I do like the convenience of checking out what's in stock but sometimes that's not always the case. I remember a few times asking someone that worked there if they had a game, they could not find the game at all and that put a damper on my visit. If I can't see it in person in store then most likely it's probably bought online. Otherwise I find this store to be such a joy to visit. While I think the prices are kinda high, I don't think any game store in the area could really compute. They have games ranging from NES - Recent and that's pretty impressive alone. It's so cool to visit a store that caters to anime and video games enthusiasts.

The clerk took an unusually long time to complete a simple transaction, and it became pretty apparent that he was distracted or doing something else. After standing there waiting, I finally asked if everything was okay, and coincidentally my transaction was completed almost immediately afterward. I understand that stores get busy and employees have other things to handle, but basic communication and attentiveness go a long way. This could be a great place for people who enjoy browsing and collecting games, but unfortunately the poor customer service, disorganization, and inaccurate online inventory make it hard to recommend.

When I first met Bart, I walked in to rent an auger, because I was digging footer holes and building a deck. Bart asked where I live, and when I said Ashburn he laughed and said: "Forget the auger, you're going to need that" and pointed to a jack hammer. I laughed at him and asked if he was serious. Well, 12 hours of jack hammering (basically carving holes into rocks) I knew Bart was the man. I've found other members of the staff to be pretty good and knowledgeable, and they seem to be much more on their toes when Bart is in the store. I am also leaving this review so that others do not have my experience and are not mislead. I was looking around at different options for my daughter's joint 8th and 9th birthday party. Last year we had their party at mocatinas and it was so impressive. I was trying to find something that would be equally as good. I found the Conche chocolate and cake studio and was interested in their party package. I contacted them and even on their Yelp page they advertise pictures of the parties in a private studio. We thought that was really awesome and wanted to do their cake pop making party. At no point during my discussion with their employee did they disclose that this party would not be at their private studio. There were so many chances they had to let me know during our conversations. I finally was given a contract by them and quoted over $800 for the party. We were happy to pay that but during that conversation I realized that it was casually mentioned it would be held in a restaurant. I paused right there and carefully re read everything. I made sure to ask questions and confirmed that not only would the party not be held in their private studio that the owner advertised on this very Yelp page, it would be held at a completely different restaurant. Not even the conche restaurant and no private at all. I think it's incredibly sneaky to charge someone $800 and not give a full disclaimer that this would not be held at the advertised location. Also in my personal opinion it's greedy. I told their employee I cannot justify paying that amount for a children's birthday party held in the corner of a restaurant open to the public. When initially it was advertised as private and even showed pictures. I called them out and said you do know that you have a private studio advertised right? They tried to come up with an alternative solution to put the kids in a "cramped room". While still charging $800 lol. No thank you. We have booked somewhere else. This sort of situation turns me off from even eating at their other restaurant. It's a complete lack of general care. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else and I really hope people read this review so they are aware that children's birthday parties are held at a random corner of a rest and not the advertised private space on this page.
