Cute book store, friendly staff. Fun to explore. Definitely happy to support a local bookstore vs. the massive Barnes and Noble down the street .

Nuzzled in a row of business, bridge street books caught my eye while walking around Georgetown. With cheap books out front, and a huge selection in a lovely warm building. The staff was inviting and informative, giving me a quick overview of the shop. I found myself exploring other sections since it has a wide variety of books. Without having a book in mind, I found the selection to be inviting, allowing me to see classics and modern offerings. I will likely go back whenever I feel the need for a new random book to pick up at a great deal. Highly recommended

Adorable little bookshop in Georgetown. Make sure you visit the upstairs area too. Has a great selection, you're bound to find something you need! Enjoy browsing! Support small independent bookstores!

Small cute two story shop crammed with books, quiet vibe inside & a good selection. Staff were nice but unobtrusive. Not a lot of extras besides books- some cards/postcards. Sale books out front. Got a great read before catching a flight

Every visit here is just as magical as the first! Warm and quiet, this little bookstore has shelves on shelves of intriguing books for those with a penchant for reading on print. So happy Bridge Street Books is around and I highly recommend stopping by if you are considering it while in town and have the desire to discover something new!

This is a cute bookshop located in Georgetown. There may not be a large selection compared to the giant bookshops you could go to but it does still have some quality reads on offer. Check it out if you're in the area and support the local bookstores!

This is the best bookstore in all of Washington DC. Small intimate, but a amazing cross-section of genres and may be the best poetry selection in the country. No fooling staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. You were bound to find some thing here even if you didn't know that you needed it.

One of the more underrated bookstores in the district imo! It's small and packed with books but I love the regional organization and the staff is nice and eager to help! I've found some unique books I don't think I would've noticed at other bookstores. I wish it was slightly more conveniently located, but I never regret the trek when I make it down there

What a lovely bookstore, great selection of books, the employee helped me finding the books that was looking for, the price of the books were very good as well, I paid five dollars for Dracula ( not used) . There is a table with few good selection of books, which through the pandemic is very helpful.

Such a cute little book store! The worker was very nice and welcoming. I went during a cold night and he was such a warm person letting me know there were more books and heat upstairs! The store had variety of genres. Very unique compilation of Recents. Will have to visit again!

Ask the Community - Bridge Street Books

DOES bridge street books have children and teen sections?

I'm sorry i didn't reply to this in a timely fashion, but if you're still curious and didn't find out the answer is yes. I picked up a Neil Gaiman book aimed at young adult readers.

It has no rivals when it comes to poetry offerings, and the fiction and philosophy sections are superb, too.

What a great University Bookstore! I spent several hours here wandering the aisles looking at all…read morethe different Georgetown merchandise available. Your prices are typical school bookstore expensive, but nothing exorbitant. T shirts with Georgetown emblems were around $18 and sweatshirts around $60. I was surprised to find a "Grumpy cat" stuffed animal with a Georgetown tshirt on, as well as Boo, cutest dog in the world in similar attire. The books/textbooks are upstairs, clothing and computers are downstairs. They have numerous employees wandering the store asking if you need any help. I asked one for a medium sweatshirt size and she promptly went to the back and retrieved the right fit for me. They also have a great selection of birthday cards, snacks, baby accessories, and general school supplies. If you want to pick up some Georgetown memorabilia, or if you are a student and want to unwind after a test and get a little shopping therapy. Either way, I recommend this bookstore.

This a pretty decent sized college bookstore with plenty of Georgetown swag…read more Granted - unless you went to Georgetown or love the Hoyas, you probably won't buy a lot of sweatshirts or t-shirts here. However, in terms of the amount of swag - there's plenty to go around and there's a lot of variety. In terms of books, well it's a student bookstore. You can get plenty of academic related items here and other stuff too if you're in a pinch for say, a bookbag or seriously need some stationary. However, what I like about this shop is the decent variety of clothing options and the fact a lot of noted name brands like Nike, Under Armor and other companies all offer their own line of GU apparel and you can find it all here in one place. Oh btw ... Hoya Saxa!

I stopped by Lost City Books with a friend yesterday, when we spent a beautiful spring Sunday…read moremorning on a walk and mini bakery crawl through Adams Morgan. We both love to read and love bookshops. I love big bookshops, little bookshops, romance bookshops... Lost City Books was a wonderful surprise and immediately became one of my favorite bookshops in DC. Why? It isn't huge, but it makes such good use of its space that I found it to be one of the best stocked independent bookstores I've visited in a long while. I always try to support local independent bookstores when I can, and some of them are tiny (if your neighborhood bookstore is one of the tiny ones, remember they'll probably place orders for you if you want/need something they don't have in stock). But - at the risk of sounding silly - we got lost in time at Lost City Books. We meant to just pop in and quickly pick something to take home. But we wandered through their fiction section and staff picks, pointing out books to each other we loved or have been meaning to read and all of a sudden a half hour had passed and we only really explored one tiny section of the shop. We walked out with four books between us, too. The customer service was friendly to boot. Just a great independent bookshop and another reason to love Adams Morgan.

Great selection and wonderful vibes. The best part all of the staff recommended books throughout…read morethe store. The reviews are thorough and helpful and makes you feel lol they care.

On top of that, they're a true community bookstore, giving back by providing free meals to people in need, which I find really admirable. My go-to order is usually an iced coffee (or hot, depending on the day), but I've also had their biscuit with egg, cheese, and bacon a few times. That biscuit is perfectly fluffy, the egg is creamy, and the bacon is on point--so good that I've thought about ordering a side of bacon just to have more. If you're in the area and need a cozy spot to work, this is it. I love that they have plenty of outlets (a rarity!) and even window seating. Great coffee, great food, and a mission worth supporting.
