We attempted to remove some ourselves but were quickly overwhelmed by the task. I researched native plant landscapers and came across Swamp Rose Co-op. After reaching out, Jeff, one of the owners, came to do a site visit. He was thorough in his presentation of plans and this February we had them come and do bamboo removal and plant some native trees and shrubs to act as a privacy screen. The Swamp Rose team was amazing! They pulled out over 2 tons of bamboo and roots! They planted native trees and shrubs which are thriving. Our backyard woodland meadow dreams are coming true. We have the team coming back in a few weeks to rip out the standard plants seen in the Silver Spring area (liriope, lilies, weeds) to replace with a native garden and we can't wait. One of my favorite aspects of this company is it is a co-op. The employees can be owners, and those who aren't are still paid a living wage as calculated by the MIT living wage calculator. They do excellent work! It is hard to find a native landscaper but this team is fantastic.

He helped us with our pick up order to our car & when one of the items didn't fit in the car, he helped us to have the item delivered to our home with minimal cost. Another employee wanted to charge over $70. He was steadfast, patient & deligently worked at making sure we did not have to pay a prohibitive delivery amount, especially when our intent was to pick up all the items & take them with us. Alex is an excellent example of what great customer service looks like & does to make sure customers keep coming back to Home Depot. Alex is definitely a keeper.
