    Austin's Garage!
    Andrew M.

Honesty is definitely their policy. I recently took my 2009 Honda Accord in to one of my local automotive shops because I haven't been able to start my car without a jump. The mechanic told me he was certain I needed a new alternator. More than I could afford at the moment, I took my car to Austin's Garage for a second opinion and spoke with the owner personally. After about 5 minutes he told me I only needed minor maintenance to the battery terminal, which he provided, and sent me on my way. He did not charge me for the job because he said it was "no big deal" and only asked that I write a review for his new business on yelp! I will definitely be back and I highly recommend.

    Happy costumer!!

Cool spot! Vintage motorcycles, merchandise, coffee bar, outdoor patio with umbrella tables. Dog-friendly. So cool and unique!

Austin is one of the few honest mechanics around! He will give it to you straight and won't feed you a line.

Pinky's made it so easy to reserve, communicate when we had to make a schedule change, and help my guests feel at ease on the water! They handle the kayak transportation, life jackets, quick paddling instructions, and even provided dry bags and bottle of water! The two people who run this local business are friendly common sense people, who will work with you to make the trip a good one. The price is well worth the trip! This was my second or third time using Pinky's and they were just awesome.

Great communication too. We showed up at Bay Area Park at our designated time (we had decided on 2pm). The boats were waiting and ready on the dock along with paddles and life jackets. We were offered a dry bag, but we brought our own. We were also given two bottles of water for the trip and loaned a map of the Bayou. We accidentally brought home the map. I need to return that to them. Anyway.... With a very easy launch, we were on the water and paddling. The bayou was low that day but there were no issues. Did you know there are bald eagles out there? We saw alligators but they kept their distance and so did we. However, we did stop to watch when two alligators got in a fight! Tails were in the air, big splashes... It was crazy. I've never seen anything like it and we got a front row seat. Absolutely amazing, y'all! I loved seeing all of the different birds. The osprey were so cool. And there were fish jumping out of the water near our boats. Just a surreal experience. Y'all gotta try Pinky's. Prices are reasonable and they're just super nice people. The experience on the bayou was so incredible, we're already planning to get back out there as soon as the weather clears up.

The technician lubed a few joints and looked at the lift a bit . . . and that was it. No repairs or parts were required. I "suggested" to the company that they have a "tiered" fee structure for various services rendered. Doctors. dentists, plumbers,, electricians, auto mechanics, carpenters, etc, etc, etc, ALL CHARGE LESS THAN $385 FOR ROUTINE SERVICES. Again . . . what a ripoff.

It is just about their pricing and a heads up to anyone who might be scheduling service. I called to schedule an annual service and inspection. Have done it on occasion with them. They greased 8 pulleys and the motor with no repairs being done. They arrived as scheduled and the work was done. Based on our ring cam, they were at our house about 30 minutes. When I got the bill....$385.00...I assumed a mistake for a 30 minute service call and emailed to ask them to check it out. I received a response that due to increased costs, their minimum service call is now $385.00. My fault. I had used them for years and should have asked the cost. Think in the future, I will (at 75) crawl up in the rafters to grease them myself. Again, great company, scheduled quickly and on time, but a higher price than I expected. Just a heads up to be sure to ask any vendor the price before you schedule the call. Whoever says inflation is under control is way off base.

My son called ahead and was specifically advised to bring the vehicle on Thursday before the end of the day for drop-off. We made arrangements accordingly and arrived as instructed. However, when we got there, no one was present at the office initially. After waiting, someone finally arrived, but instead of assisting us professionally, we were greeted rudely and asked, "Why did you come at this time?" We calmly explained that we came based on the instructions provided to us over the phone, yet the individual continued with an unprofessional attitude and ultimately refused to accept the vehicle for drop-off. We understand businesses can get busy and scheduling issues can happen, but respectful communication and professionalism should always be maintained, especially when customers are following the guidance given by the business itself. Very poor customer service experience overall. I hope this feedback helps improve how future customers are treated.
