I handed her a hundred and proceeded to count the rest (I had some 1's to get rid of). I gave her 20 to finsh the transaction for the price of the massage, and the n 20 more for a tip. A total of 140 cash for the massage. She tells me that I didn't tip enough, that I should tip 25%. I told her that this is gratuity, and as a hairstylist myself I would never hound someone for what they can tip or "expect" a certain amount. She was very rude to me and cold and basically said goodbye. What happens next is next level. The owner runs outside and I'm thinking maybe she will apologize. She accuses me of not giving her the $100 bill. She said I only paid $40. I reassured her that I paid. Then Mary comes out frazzled with all the money in her hand and I can see the 100 bill on the bottom of the stack as she runs out. Mary turns right back around to go back inside (without apologizing) and the owner also turns around to walk back inside. To which then I said "are you going to apologize?" And she said she was sorry. What a Mother's Day. I'll never go back to this place. Beware.

If you're looking for high-quality massage work in the Austin area, I highly recommend Melody at…read moreZen Deep Massage. I first had the pleasure of receiving work from Melody 10 years ago. I had looked around Austin to find the right therapist for me and she checked all the boxes. She is very knowledgeable about anatomy, is really intuitive with her touch and her abilities to find my problem areas and unravel them, her pressure is spot on, and she does amazing assisted stretching which really helps with both my flexibility and my recovery from exercise. She was my go to therapist for about seven years, even though her location required about a 45 minute drive each way from where I was living in Pflugerville. I typically saw her twice a month, and the experience was well worth the drive. A few years ago, a couple of family and work changes made it nearly impossible to make the drive down to her studio. I'm happy to say that that has changed now and I'm able to get back to see her on a regular basis. I had an amazing session with her today and she was able to resolve some lingering issues in my hips and lower back and I felt great after leaving her studio. I'm turning 70 shortly, and after decades as an Army Paratrooper, working out, and now as a cyclist and distance runner, I need more than rest and the stretching, warm ups and cool downs I can do to keep my body moving. Melody's bodywork is integral to maintaining my active, healthy lifestyle.

Melody is so strong! She was able to get really deep into my muscle aches. I highly recommend her…read morefor anyone who wants a really deep tissue massage.

I thought she'd love it. When I went inside to purchase I was told it was only valid for scheduling an appointment right then and there. I had read their reviews first and saw complaints about customer service and I completely agree. I walked out and don't recommend them at all. Their policy is ridiculous and thoughtless.

I had a horrid experience at the spa- due to poor customer service and bad attitudes. Andrea (front…read moredesk staff) called when I was 5 minutes late- I told her that I was in the parking late but was being directed to the garage and asked for help- specifically, I asked for another landmark (one of the one's on the direction signs- Whole Foods , Dillard, etc.)-- but instead of helping me, she put me on hold. She called me back to say that the massage therapist would be waiting outside to help me- what?! Now, if I can't find the massage building, how on earth could I find the therapist? ‍ Then, as I was walking up, the therapist went inside of the building... I tried to lean-in for the massage but Romelo was giving me the worst massage known to man (using his fist up and down my legs/and calves in a rapid motion) so I asked him to stop- ~10 minutes into the massage. After ending the massage early, I went to the front desk told them that I had to stop the massage and I wanted to just cancel my services for the day and without asking me a single question or telling me any company policies or referencing my experience (like with human empathy), Andrea told me that she would just waive all of my fees due to "all that I had been through." 30 minutes later and still before my scheduled facial, someone texted me and said that they planned to charge me for 50% of the fees because the manager didn't approve to waive them.... And I'm like, what does that have to do with me? After Andrea cancelled my appointment, my agreement to do business with your company ended so it's unethical to charge me for policies not communicated, after our business has ended! Then, Andrea sent me a dozen rude text messages gaslighting me, trying to troll me into an argument, not taking any accountability, and asking me to email her manager- and I'm like, for what? Why would I call him? Why wouldn't he call me to be the bridge in customer service or understand what went wrong here? In fact, if Andrea needed to charge me, why didn't you call me ask me to come back to the spa for a facial or communicate the change in the company plans vs. sending me a text message? Esp. Since Andrea already waive the fees? This spa staff are backwards (causing problems vs. resolving them- last example, when I called the spa to ask the names of the people mentioned in this review, Andrea tried again to start an argument with me (saying that I had been rude the whole time .. someone please pull the audio and video)... I tried to end the convo amicably but I finally hung up the phone when she started on a rant. I can't do petty, childish, rude, and bad service!

The woman doing my massage seemed nice and was overall good at the foot massage though I would have preferred more reflexology on the toes. Here's the caution. During the chair massage, she went so hard with her elbows. She also forcibly twisted my back both times, without a chance for me to protest. I've NEVER had a chair massage or any massage where my back is twisted!!!! She went at it like she was on a mission to crack ever bone. It was uncomfortable and painful. I have back issues (cancer in my L4) and that have since flared up of pain in my lumbar spine since last Thursdays appointment. A word to ownership, NEVER, NEVER allow your employees to crack someone's back especially without first discussing it. You have no knowledge of prior conditions and it's extremely dangerous if you are not qualified. If I wanted my back cracked I would see my Chiro. Personally, I will not be back due to this. My husband had an older gentleman and he throughly enjoyed both the foot massage and chair massage. His back was not cracked.
