Poor communication and incorrect availability and listed salon hours when scheduling online which lead to being completely ghosted on a day that they're not even open (Friday). I emailed them while standing outside waiting for someone to show up and heard back with a claim they had the wrong phone number and that they left a note for me on the front door. Anton & Steph and the team at Austin Bach are simply the best. Nobody knows color better. I get my hair done infrequently, every 5 months or so, and in the past 10 years they have saved my hair from 2 color mishaps. Where the other "well-regarded" colorists I've gone to in DC/SD have seemed to listen and miss on execution or seem to listen and claim the orange I was seeing was the "lighting", Steph & Anton actually listen, assess, and patiently solve. They don't assume they know what you want and they don't cut corners to get to the result that you, as the client, desire. Before and after photos are below. G-d sents to my hair!! I am naturally a darker blonde going platinum. Current rocking two layers of extensions from them as well. Extensions are amazing quality and match my desired colour to a T. (Most believe this is my natural hair!) Reinstalling/ moving up is seamless and quick as well. The couple that run the shop is a power team- between the both of them, the vibe, quality, and integrity is par to none. 12/10 read more
