Results come in very quickly. Her bedside manner is way above and beyond any expectations. Micah has the ability to make the patient feel like they're truly cared about. I can't say enough good things about her and her supporting team. I have not had any elective procedures at the clinic, but everyone in the waiting room always seems to be very happy. I highly recommend for all of your derma and other needs.

I simply asked a question about a medication I'm currently taking, and the conversation somehow turned into, "Since you know best, just give her what she wants," while I was answering her questions. After 10 years of coming here, this experience was enough to make me never want to return.

They did not ask stepmom what her relationship to the child was at check in OR when they took my insurance card with my name on it. Most doctors offices know that they can face major legal and professional liability for treating a minor without valid parental or guardian consent. When I got access to the portal after the fact, there was no familiy history filled in and whatever medical history and current medications were listed were either incomplete or incorrect! They even RXed medication given this lack of complete medical history knowledge! My daughter's patient portal only had stepmom's name, cell, and address?!?!!?!? Not even my daughter's dad's name listed! WOW! On top of all this, just to put a cherry on the top... they of course recommended my daugther's regiment be inclusive to all of their med spa product line!!! Simply said, a 12 year old who has normal hormonal acne (not even that bad?!?!), does NOT need to be using the same cleanser, with tons of active ingredients, that her mother does as a 52 year old!!! PERIOD!!! Shame on WLD!! If a practice is this hap hazard on such basic HIPPA and patient care guidlines with regard to seeing minors wihtout parent consent, are you really going to get your cosmetic surgery done here?!?!?

She was extremely patient and attentive and didn't rush through the appointment. Her assistant was equally kind and informative. The entire staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Extremely disappointed with the lack of medical literacy at the front desk…read more I called this office to schedule an appointment and the receptionist provided information for a Physician Assistant (PA). When asked about the role of a PA, the receptionist had absolutely no idea what a physician assistant even was, she instead rudely repeated the job title over and over without providing any clarification. As a patient, it is deeply concerning that the frontline staff at a medical facility do not understand basic medical roles or the qualifications of the healthcare providers working in their own field. It makes me question the professionalism and training of the entire administrative team. If the staff lacks this fundamental knowledge, I do not feel comfortable trusting them with my scheduling or medical care. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I was referred to him by a peer of his that had nothing but great things to say about him, and although I was nervous to switch over I am glad I did! The process (which started before Dr. Gavino) has been a long one, but I have been very pleased ever since I first met Dr. Gavino! He is very patient, knowledgeable, caring, and LISTENS to my concerns, worries, and new developments. He restates what I say, and reviews our appointment before I leave, while also keeping a good eye on the medications I take, how much, and how often to make sure I am not over doing it! A simple online search will show his qualifications, experience in the field, and a lot of patients who back him 100%! If you are in network with your insurance, I definitely recommend seeing him if you have concerns about hairloss.

If you are losing hair unexpectedly (especially my female friends) you MUST go to Dr. Carlo Gavino…read moreeither at the Bee Cave or the Whitestone location. Not only is he a dermatologist but he's also a dermatopathologist - long word for "he knows his s**t". Stress, hormones, illness, autoimmune issues, inflammation, heredity can play a part in your hair loss...and he will figure it out. He will take a small biopsy from your scalp and determine why you are losing hair - and then come up with the best course of action for you. It'll take about 2 weeks to get the results. My friend told me about him because she was losing her hair...her friend told her about him because she was also losing her hair...whose sister was losing her hair...etc etc. He has an incredible personality which makes you feel so comfy from the first appointment. He accepts most insurance policies where you pay your normal co-pay, however, please note that the biopsy part of the exam will usually go towards your deductible...I paid appx $150 for the biopsy part of the exam (and it was the best $150 spent vs all of the lotions and potions for thinning hair, vitamins etc on the market). Do yourself a favor and go see Dr. Gavino. You will at least know WHY you're finding your hair EVERYWHERE.

I did have an unpleasant interaction with one of his staff, who was having an off day (perhaps I was also?) it took me over a week to get medicine Dr Currasco had prescribed because she wasn't following up with the pharmacist phone calls.. meanwhile I trust Dr Currasco and I feel at the appropriate time he'll refer me to an infectious disease specialist, if required. As an established patient, it is very difficult to get a medical appointment with Dr. Gordon. I…read moredon't do cosmetic appointments, so maybe the wait time is shorter for those, but for medical, it is like a year wait. When did this become such an issue? When did patients needing medical care become unimportant; why are we dehumanizing needs of patients? Somehow going to the doctor has become a profit driven 15-minute visit scheduling problem. It's a moral one. It reflects a system that values documentation over dialogue, billing over bonding, and efficiency over empathy. It's the quiet erosion of what medicine used to be: a conversation between people who trusted each other. If we want to restore that trust, we have to reclaim time, not from patients but for them. We have to re-humanize care by giving space to the parts that don't fit in a drop-down menu. Sense of impatience, the hurry, and the sense that the doctor is listening but not hearing. Being told "We'll have to schedule another visit." "I'll only bring up one issue today." Nobody cares anymore about the patient. Did you go to medical school to help people or to help the broken system? Because when we finally stop pretending that 15 minutes is enough, we might rediscover what those minutes were supposed to mean.
