After i paid for the materials, it was a struggle to get them to show up and they never finished the job. timeline: paid on December 1st and was told installation would be done by December 19. They said they would prep the door (paint, etc.) and have it ready for the 19th. The week of the installation i never received an update. when i called i was told that they could not be here because of weather. Next, they said they would come on January 2 to do the job. They showed up only to tear up my entrance and leave it unfinished (See pictures). They took multiple measurements of everything they could find but not made any real progress. They left and took the door and materials (that i already paid for) to paint them (didnt do it the first time) and said they would come back the following Friday (1/9/26) to finish the job. when next friday came, they never showed up, i received no communication from them. After calling multiple times for several days with no response, i was able to connect with them by calling from a different number (they thought was a new job). I was finally able to get Rene to at least return my door and materials that i paid for (which they overcharged me for). They finally showed up a few days later to deliver my materials, but the job was never finished as originally contracted. This is not the first time this happens. Please see this complaint in the BBB by some one else. (https://www.bbb.org/us/tx/canyon-lake/profile/doors/door-services-of-texas-0825-1000237233/complaints). Be careful with this company.

I called GCS glass for an estimate for a glass shower installation on our remodeled bathroom…read more Unlike other glass companies they did not charge to give us the estimate. The pricing was comparable to the other glass companies. Laz gave us an estimate and set up the installation that very week. I don't know if it was the timing of our estimate because there is usually a wait period for 2 weeks. Laz was very professional and personable. We were impressed with his knowledge and attention to detail.

I am really sorry that I can only give this company TWO STARS.. I recently had my master bath…read moreremodeled, converting a six foot sunken tub into a large and luxurious walk in shower. Brandon was quick to respond and gave me a pretty good "guestimate" based on my measurements and specifications which was quite helpful in my comparison and selection of the company to provide my glass shower doors. When the tech came to make exact measurements for the custom sliding doors I explained that I needed the largest opening possible due to my mobility limitations and dependance on a walker. While I currently don't need to use the walker inside the shower I'm aware that could change in the future and I wanted to be prepared for that possibility. He said he understood completely and we planned for a 26 inch stationary panel on the left inside with about a 46 inch sliding panel on the outside which would allow the large opening that I needed. Although the tech said it was usual to place the slider on the inside to prevent leaks, he "thought" it would be okay to place it on the outside as well. I liked the idea of having the larger panel and handle on the outside panel and thought it might make it easier to slide so that was the plan agreed upon. The glass was ordered and installation was estimated at about three weeks off. After a great deal of consideration I was concerned about the possibility of leakage with the slider on the outside so I called Brandon and after some discussion I asked that the placement be reversed with the slider on the inside and the smaller stationary panel on the outside as was more customary. He agreed that it would be no problem to make the change and would probably be a more reliable installation. The big day came and two techs arrived and worked diligently for some time. With the limitation of space involved, I stayed out of their way until they were finished with the job. That was a big mistake! And when I did go to see the shower doors I admired the color of the hardware and how well it matched the Champagne Bronze Delta fixtures, and how nice the clear glass looked in front of my newly built shower. They explained about the optional coating that I had chosen and the importance of using a squeegee after showering, which I had already purchased, and they left. It was a while before I had time to go back and really look at my new shower doors - they looked beautiful and were installed perfectly - EXCEPT - the larger panel was installed on the outside and was STATIONARY! The much smaller panel was installed inside and was the SLIDER! This leaves an opening of 23 inches - even less than the width of the panel due to the placement of the handle - and far from the oversized opening that I had ordered! It's a real falling hazard when I'm going in or out of that extremely small opening. And any possibility that a walker could ever fit through it is totally nonexisten! A less disastrous, but still troublesome situation is that when using the "U" handle on the slider to open the door as one normally would do, fingers get crushed between the handle and the stationary panel and extreme caution is necessary. Something I was unaware of but would not have been a problem if I had stayed with the original plan. And if I had done that, would the door have leaked? I'll never know, but I sure wish I had or at least stood watch while the glass was being installed! When I discovered the error I called and spoke with Stefan who said there was nothing that could be done - basically it was what it was, the company could and/or would do nothing. I had already paid 50% of the cost up front and I just didn't feel up to a battle - especially in court! I am 86+ years old, partially disabled and I can no longer drive. Faced with no apparent alternative, I paid the remaining 50% of the cost. That was probably another big mistake! The glass doors and hardware look wonderful and the mechanics of the installation are excellent and under other circumstances I could recommend GCS Glass and Mirror without reservation, but each time I struggle through that 23 inch opening awkwardly and fearful of falling, I think I'm being very generous with TWO STARS! What do you think?

Their sales rep came over very prepared. He came with different types of glasses and explained each option to me. I had a concern about water exiting the door and he came up with a solution that would both seal and keep the bath space looking modern. He was very knowledge about all my concerns and had confident answers to them. The communication with the office was really good. They were very detailed oriented with scheduling and works extremely well with rescheduling. On the day of install, the workers were really respectful and careful. They cleaned up afterwords and communicated well with me. I look forward to using them again and highly recommend!

Wish I would have done a little more research than choosing this company…read more Service Requested: This has to be one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had. I would never do business with them again. Their installers were awesome, but the office staff and sales team are horrible. I inquired about an order in August 2023. Salesperson called me immediately and came to my home the following day of my inquiry to take measurements and provided a quote. Made the decision to go with them and month later I had to call them to see what the status was of my order (According to their website and from the sale guy, it will take 12 - 13 days from the date of purchase for orders to be filled). After several run arounds, they finally told me that they would be coming out to install the shower door. Came to my home to install the shower door and shower wall, and I noticed that there were several scratches on all the pieces of glass. Therefore, they had to reorder another glass (no one checked the glass prior to coming to my home). Another month went by, and I had to call again to see what the status was of the reorder. No one had a clue. Call the sales guy, and he had no clue as well after he had already come back to my home to request an expedited order due to the damage. Now, two months have gone by, and replacement glass still has not shown up. Once the glass showed up in November 2023, again, there were more scratches on all the pieces of glass. Another month goes by, and I had to call once again to check the status of the reorder and the GM stated that he would take care of the issue but once again, the GM provided false pretense and lack of the customer service. Now it is January 2024, and I finally had to call back once again to check the status of my order, and they finally told me the glass is ready. With a lack of confidence, I went out to the office to where they store the glass to check and make sure that everything was finally fixed. Finally, the glass checked out and finally got the glass installed. After 6 months of inconvenience of not able to use my new shower, they were not willing to provide any compensation after me calling, texting, and reaching out them several times and not concerned about their customers. Value: Great quality of glass, but the manufactures do not check their work. Therefore, you better check before installing. Overall: I would NOT recommend this company until they improve their customer service. Again, this was the worst experience I've ever had.
