They did two bathroom glass installs. The first one, they brought the glass out to my house, and then said that the manufacturer of the glass did not produce to specs and they had to take it back and delay my installation. The second bathroom they removed an existing glass wall and then discovered that they had measured the new glass wall wrong and it didn't fit. They reinstalled the old glass but didn't reseal it which caused leaks to pour through the bathroom. They did ultimately come back and install the correct size glass later on after a delay and after water kept running through the bathroom floor. It was a disappointing experience working with them. read more

BUYER BEWARE!! As a first time customer, I ordered a simple custom dining table glass top with rounded corners and the finished product delivered to me was 1 good corner, and 3 terribly cut corners (see pics attached). This is even after I was told by Alpha Glass that they do a thorough quality check for all items before delivering to the customer!! When I raised the concern and sent pictures, the response I received from the General Manager was "sorry we get these straight from the manufacturer and there's nothing we can do...if you wanted perfectly rounded corners you should have gone with a polished finish which costs more." Seriously? Not once during the initial calls was I told that there is a chance something simple as rounded corners of a glass can come out crooked and messed up unless you go with the more expensive polished. This was the first and last time I use Alpha Glass which is a shame because I have many custom glass projects in the near future. read more

Contractors beware of this very unprofessional and unreliable company. Trying to communicate with this company was nearly impossible. Five weeks before my project completion date I receive the following email from Daniel Aguilar. "I'll try to keep this simple and short as I know both of you are very busy working on your respective projects. I'm currently in the field today and will be back in office Monday myself. In order for Alpha Glass Company to proceed with performing the work of each project we will need to do so under COD payment terms; that is, 50% deposit to begin the project and the remainder must be due on the day of completion with no retainage held. If you are inclined to inquire as to why the change I'll be happy to draft a comprehensive email with details, however that will have to come at a later date. If these terms cannot be accepted we respectfully understand. The contracts have not been signed & returned to your company for execution so they may be redirected to the next sub in line for glazing if JJO feels that is the next step to take." It's no wonder why they didn't sign the contract months ago. I'm shocked this company is still in business. read more

Our company Trinity-ATX hired Alpha glass to install one floating shower glass door for our customer. Sales rep was Rosa and installer was Esteban. Rosa was a joy to work with and only negative was that I was confused about the two quotes they sent me. Not very clear. Lead times were long. Prices are at premium, not a problem if products and service are also premium.... They are not. Major complaint was installer breaking not one not two but four tiles on my customer shower door upon install. After trying to resolve the issue Alpha's solution was to remove shower door and reinstall after tiles were replaced at MY cost! Shower door also does not seal and allows water to pour onto bathroom floor. The disclaimer mentions if tiles break they are not liable for. My professional opinion is the lags were intentionally overtightened which caused all the tiles to break when installed. We will not be doing business with Alpha glass. read more

We have had an absolutely terrible experience with Alpha Glass Company. We placed an order for large commercial project. They came out, priced it, and actually returned several times to the job site for "field measurements." They had been in close contact with us for several months. Now two months prior to the job beginning, they have "ghosted" us. Avoided phone calls, not responded to voicemails, answered the phone and would give us excuses like "he just stepped out" or "he's out to lunch." After we started seeing red flags daily as the project is coming up against time to execute, we've been bombarding them with calls daily getting nowhere. Finally we received a random email stating "Unfortunately we cannot continue with this project, and since there's no contract there's nothing further needed here, and only respond via emails." I've never dealt with such an incredibly unprofessional organization that led us on to the very last minute like this one. If you have a sizeable job, DO NOT risk performance of your work by teaming up with this Company. Someone who would put you in such a precarious position such as what they've done here, does not deserve to get any serious jobs. read more

Possibly the most painful and disappointing "custom" experience I've had. Top to bottom poor customer service, attention to detail, and execution on all aspects from initial planning to install. After being assured that what we designed could be executed, our frameless shower was installed crooked and un-level, with broken glass, and extra pieces we specifically declined. Additionally a large mess was left behind after initial install. 2 weeks went by to order pieces that should have been available for initial install while we waited for completion of this project. This was followed up with too numerous to count excuses of why the install was poor and un-level, none of which included the fact that pieces were installed incorrectly. A field supervisor was then sent out echoing the same sentiments and creating excuses. The field supervisor also informed us he would be working on a discount due to this extremely poor experience only to find out the next day the credit card had already been run by the company with no discount or approval of payment. I recommend you find another custom glass company in the Austin area, as they are Beta at best. read more

Daniel walked me through the process and recommended one particularly skilled craftsman to do the job because it had to be done by hand rather than by machine. These people are absolutely amazing. A double-pane window in our house fogged up and needed replacing. I called Alpha Glass on a Friday morning, and later that afternoon, they had someone here to measure the opening and assess our needs. Early Tuesday morning, they sent an estimate via email, and we ordered the glass that day. They received it and called us 8 days later on a Wednesday, and they were here early Thursday morning to install it. When the installers got the glass in and were installing the moldings, I could tell that something wasn't exactly right. I'm not sure what the problem was, but they were clearly not satisfied with how something was lining up. Rather than do an imperfect job, they removed the glass, cleaned up the frame, and reinstalled the glass, this time to their satisfaction. You won't believe how painstakingly they cleaned the glass when they had finished. They very carefully cleaned a small section at a time, scraping off any traces of residues and leaving the new glass just immaculate. Everyone we dealt with was just incredibly nice, courteous, and professional. These people clearly believe in doing quality work, and they take the time necessary to make that happen. The price was very reasonable, and the work that they did is top-notch. I could not recommend them more highly. read more

They came and measured the interior window opening; sent me samples online of glass patterns; I placed the order and within a week and a half it was installed. I have a 1913 home and was able to select a glass pattern that fit the house. Price was reasonable, customer service excellent and installation great as well. A very satisfied customer. My whole experience with Alpha Glass was excellent from start to finish. Jerry gave me a helpful quote over the phone, and they sent their team out to do a free estimate on site. Esteban was so friendly when he came to measure for the estimate, and I heard back from Jerry by the end of the day with an updated estimate. He worked within my budget and was very easy to discuss with. The mirror was cut quickly and Eunice was very responsive for scheduling, followed up by a very prompt delivery and installation process (the very sweet Esteban again), and I immediately received the receipt. I needed to replace a cracked pane and called a couple of local companies, including Alpha Glass. While waiting for quotes, I found a vendor online whose prices were reasonable, and I was under intense time pressure, so I ordered before getting the other information. That was mistake #1. Turns out Alpha Glass was much cheaper. But it didn't end up mattering after all, because when it arrives, we discovered the handyman measured the cracked window incorrectly and the fancy replacement pane didn't even fit. Meanwhile there's now a big hole in the front of my house and no window to put in it. I was in a terrible bind, so I drove over to Alpha Glass unannounced at the very end of the day, totally frazzled, with my window frame in pieces. The manager could not have been more compassionate. Here I am, a total stranger coming in off the street, and they fixed the window quickly and for free, just to be good neighbors. My jaw was on the ground. It did not even cross my mind that any business would ever do something like that. These people have the best karma, and by the way, the window looks great now. I came in with a very thick piece of glass that needed two cuts...they cut it perfectly! They warned me about the risks of cutting such a thick piece and I decided to go for it anyways.
