Whether you are having a small procedure or large, Dr. Maggi's first priority is with his Hippocratic Oath: To do no Harm. He went over the pros and cons of my procedure and stressed the importance of safety, both in surgery and during recovery. No doctor can ever make a guarantee regarding the outcome of surgery, and Dr. Maggi was clear about that. Before speaking to him, consult 2 other surgeons and then schedule and evaluation with him. Dr Maggi caused a large organizing hematoma on my left breast after an explanation surgery on purpose to charge me thousands of dollars again for a second surgery to "fix" the problem caused by himself for malpractice. He told me to get a simple mammogram but another doctor ordered a diagnostic ultrasound that revealed that the old blood clogs were not going to get dissolved just by simply massaging like Dr Maggi told me to do. He even denied the results of the exam. One year after I was finally able to get the proper care by Texas Breast Specialists using my own insurance since this had already turned into an important health concern situation. read more

I was botched by "doctor" Maggi. His demeanor before surgery was pleasant, kind and professional... Which changed DRASTICALLY after my surgery was done. Immediately after surgery I experienced pain in my left breast, which Maggi attributed to me doing something wrong during the recovery period. I had the "double bubble" effect immediately post op, which I couldn't have done myself... Dr. Maggi was also supposed to put in a bigger implant in my right breast and smaller in my left, because my left breast was naturally bigger. Well he didn't do that, he put the same size in both breasts 421cc's, so I was left with uneven breasts. During my follow up appointment, I was experiencing pain, and while examining my breasts he flapped them up and down as if I was a piece of meat and said "this is not my fault. I didn't do anything wrong here, any issues you're experiencing come from your own incompetence. I don't do revisions for free." I was shocked that I had complications that soon after surgery, and that he didn't want to even acknowledge his own mistake. I'm a tough person but I literally cried after leaving his office that day. I'm a nurse myself and I followed his post-op instructions to a T. For the last decade, my implants have hurt and caused me issues, not to mention they looked terrible. I had them completely removed 3 weeks ago by a professional, compassionate, knowledgeable physician. I wouldn't recommend anyone get work done by this person because you only have one body and one life. I went to see CeCe to have my lips done and I have to say I am so happy I found her I wish I could give 10 stars!! I have been to several plastic surgeon offices and med spas spending over 2k on injections no one comes close to Cece! I've had 2 drs and 2 NP and all of them Don't equal to her, she's very sweet and caring, she asked me what I wanted to change about my lips and I told her my phone was dead and I didn't have a photo to show her what my desired shape was, but just with explaining she gave me exactly what I wanted! She used a smaller needle to avoid bruising and for less discomfort which takes extra time but just and example of how much she cares for her patients. After numbing me for about 20 min she started injecting and asked me if I was ok every few mins didn't take long at all, we talked about life and tequila I felt like I was in a therapy session to be honest. I wish I could of found her sooner. I made an appointment for 6 weeks to get another syringe of filler and some baby botox And I will never let anyone else touch my face I am definitely a Dermnurse patient for life! read more

The 1st impression of Dr. Maggi is a knowledgeable and arrogantly confident demeanor. But after surgery and ensuing follow-up appts, his arrogance and terrible bedside manner was found to be disgusting. He botched my Girlfriend's surgery to a point she developed a basketball size blood clot that required a 2nd emergency surgery at St. David's. After a real surgeon was brought in to do the reconstruction surgery, it was a totally different experience. I would give anything to have taken the pain she was in away and would NEVER recommend this piece of trash. It was the most horrible experience of my life and I can only imagine what her interpretation of the experience was. She was so excited prior to all of this but now has seemed to never feel so defeated. The surgery was expensive and an out of pocket cost. No refund was offered, calls were ignored after the botched operation and overall the least professional medical experience I've been a part of. I did a lot of research on who I wanted to choose for my augmentation. And I decided on this place. To begin, I had sent in an email on their website for setting up a free consultation. I was contacted promptly, and I set up my appointment. However, in the next 24 hours, two different receptionists contacted me, asking if I would like to schedule a consultation...so my first rant is that there is some lack of communication. The morning of my appointment, the office called me and asked to "really help out their schedule", could I bump back my appointment by 1/2 an hour. I had plans already made after my appointment, and I knew it would be a stretch, but I agreed because I was really excited. My greet upon entering the office was sub par. I stood at the desk 2 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. Which doesn't sound like much, but you try standing awkwardly in the quiet for 120 seconds. Upon entering the exam room, which I waited another 20 minutes for, after the half hour they already bumped me back, the nurse was very informative. She answered all my questions and was helpful. She is the only reason I gave this 2 stars. However, around 4:20, my appointment was at 3:30, I has yet to see the doctor. I had to be somewhere at 5, and it was a bit of a hike. The nurse came back in and told me that she didn't know when the doctor would be out, and that she was sorry. To wrap this up, I proceeded to leave and she asked if I wanted to reschedule so I wouldn't have to wait again. I made the first appointment, so I wouldn't have to wait. That's why they are called appointments. I left without rescheduling. I haven't heard back from them. Not to apologize, not to convince me to come back, not a thing. This made me feel like just another number they see going through their assembly line. If Dr. Maggi was a stand up doctor, he would personally call me and apologize. However, he is not, and does not seem to care. I give this place a huge thumbs down. read more

Out of all the physicians interviewed, Dr. Maggi was the best fit for me. I've interviewed physicans that didn't show up for the consult and instead sent in a staff reprentative to meet with me. I've interview physicians that stood above me the entire time, talked over my questions, and boasted about how they are the best in Austin and I would be a fool not to choose them. Not interested. Dr. Maggi performed a revision procedure for me and just a few days post op, I am happy with the results. I found Dr. Maggi to be very personable and very precise in his approach. He takes time with each one of his clients to draw out what the actual procedure will involve and does even more detailed drawings during the pre-op appointment. He takes painstaking care to fully document each file and ensure the patient is on board with the procedure. This level of detail does tend to make him run behind on appointments, so do be aware of this when booking a consult etc. I found that the time he spent with me explaining what needed to be done to achieve the look I wanted outweighed any negatives encountered from the wait to see him. I was a little confused when I got to the surgery center at my appointed time as there is no receptionist and the door is locked but a staff member came in right after we arrived and let them know I had arrived. I was the only case booked for the day so it might be different on busier days. Still this was just something I noted in the overall experience. All staff at Dr. Maggi's has been super nice. They mean business about certain surgical requirements too and can sound a bit parental when relaying these but it's all intended to minimize risk and give you the outcome you hoped for. There were perhaps a few things that could have made this experience even better BUT I am happy with my choice in doctor and my overall outcome and experience was definitely five star. read more

I am happy with my breast augmentation but my tummy tuck that is a different story. It was a botched surgery. Anyway, what's done is done. My biggest complaint is his staff. Jessica was so nice and super sweet getting me sold on making an appointment the same day of my consultation, but after I got my surgery and I was not happy about the tummy tuck she was really rude. I guess they got their money so F*%k me. Trisha was assigned to help me while I was recovering, never returned my call. I do think Dr. Maggi did great with my breast augmentation and probably will recommend him for breast augmentation. But I would also say, that his staff does not return your calls and when they do. They are very unprofessional and rude. Dr. Maggi will probably lose some patients because of his staff not because of Dr. I did see another surgeon about my tummy tuck. You should of seen his face when I disrobed. After seeing his reaction, I started crying. He held my hand and said that he might be able to fix it. Two weeks ago I had rhinoplasty done, and as Dr. Maggi recommended pre and post-surgery homeopathic medications, I had noticeable swelling for maybe 3 days, no bruising to speak of, slight yellow cast and generally I bruise easily! And I love the results already, only 2 weeks out of surgery, and I know it will get better with time!! Additionally, I had a breast lift at the same time, and the results are amazing! Even more amazing, Dr. Maggi's office scheduled me as the only surgery that day, to make sure there was plenty of time allowed for the procedures. Nurse Kelly is an ARTIST with fillers and her knowledge of how botox and fillers can be used is unsurpassed. I have high cheek bones and they tend to get hollow and Kelly has demonstrated great skill with injections to keep a natural healthy look and the results last quite some time! I had gotten a few referrals from friends to go see Dr. Maggi, and I ended up going with him. I went in for a breast augmentation July 2011 and was beyond excited to upgrade from my A cups. Lets just say, MISTAKE!! The size was not at all as big as it was supposed to be in the pre-op appointments and my left breast has been categorized as SEVER malposition (where the doctor makes the pocket for the implant too low resulting in uneven breasts). It was clearly lower than my right breast and I wanted to get it fixed since the swelling went down and I realized I had terribly uneven breasts. I had been told by his assistant that if something like this was to happen he would go in and fix it for just the anesthesiologist fee. I just went back for another consultation January 2014 and the price INCREASED. I wanted bigger implants and switch to silicone. Yes, I know silicone is expensive, but to not fix YOUR mistake in the first place, I was flabbergasted. I was heartbroken that someone who did a terrible job didn't want to fix what they did to me. Needless to say I DID NOT go with Maggi again, I went to a different doctor & LOVE my results!! He ended up having to suture my left breast pocket and hopefully it will hold up, if not it will be a very costly procedure to fix permanently with animal skin. OVERALL: Dr. Maggi didn't have the decency to fix a HUGE mistake he had made, I would take back letting him touch me if I could. read more

I had a consult to have a breast augmentation and lipo in my arms. The office is nice, the front desk was so so.. They weren't exactly warm and welcoming. Not someone I would want to have frequent check ups with. The nurse was so nice and friendly, frankly she is the one who earned them any stars. Once the doctor came in he made me instantly uncomfortable. I felt like I was wasting his time and like I was a piece of meat. He wasn't gentle at all. He would lift my breast and let them just flop back down... gee thanks. 'cause gravity didn't do that work already.... He told me he wouldn't do my arms because I just needed to work out. Which is just silly because I was hitting the gym 5 days a week. He said he would do the breast aug for 11k and that was with a military discount. I left there feeling fat and ugly and wanting to cry. Needless to say I went with someone else who I loved and did both my arms and boobs for under 9k. In order to schedule an appointment, they charge you $250, which come to find out, if not refundable. Ethical businesses only charge a fee if you miss the appointment and don't call or show up. They told me I could use the $250 for "future" visits but I wouldn't use them now for anything! read more

I am so happy with the experience that I had with Austin Plastic Surgery Center. Dr. Maggi and his staff are absolutely wonderful. After visiting 4 different doctors in the span of 2 years he was the one I chose. He gave me more information that any of the other doctors. Jessica was very helpful as well during the consultation. Just a few of the amazing things that I liked about choosing them for my breast augmentation was that they had an amazing special which gave me a great price. Unlike any other doctor they included everything from the supplements, the bra, the strap and ALL post op appointments. For those of you who have debated on getting Botox or not..let me tell you from experience how amazing it is, and how amazing Nurse Kelley is. I've always been against any needles going into the face, and I spent days and days researching the effects, the procedure and the price. I set up my appointment back in January with Kelley, and almost backed out, but she was so comforting and reassuring about the whole thing. The process is so quick and pretty much pain free btw. At first I just went in for basically a mini brow lift because I have a lazy eye (sexy eye) and I wanted it to be lifted a bit more. After 3 days I saw the effect on my brows and my glabella (11s). I was hooked after that. I then went in for more in my forehead to get rid of the horrid wrinkles that I've had from years of expressions I have made, and I'm a pretty expressive person with my face. I saw those results and, although my brows were too high for me, I called the office and Kelley called me back concerned about what was going on. I told her that my brows were basically too high when I lift them, she told me to come in for a quick fix and bam, 3 days later, everything looked amazing. I can't explain in words how completely amazing Kelley is and how awesome the results are. I get complimented on how much better I look after the Botox..and I'm 27 with barely any signs of aging, minus the wrinkles. I recommend her and Dr. Maggi to everyone I come into contact with, and I would highly recommend them to you for all your cosmetic needs. I went to see nurse Kelly a few years back for botox and was very impressed. She took more time analyzing my face before injecting than anyone had before. Usually it is a stick and run operation. I went back to her again for botox and juvederm to plump up my cheeks. I previously had juvederm injected in my cheeks by Dr. Nick at Westlake dermatology with very minimal injection pain and very good results. The juvederm experience with Nurse Kelly was torturous. She kept injecting one side of my cheek over and over and the other side very few injections. Needless to say I looked like I had a golf ball on one side of the face. She said to let the swelling go down and come back if it wasn't looking right and she would fix it. I went back a few weeks later with my golf ball face and she injected one side of my face with the stuff that makes the juvederm dissolve. She said fillers are not a perfect science. Ah yes I know. I also know if you shoot one side of the face a bunch and the other side a few times you will look like a freak. I went back again a few weeks after that so she could try and even my face out again. I will give this to them they gave it their best college try free of charge to make it right. However, I would not recommend Nurse Kelly doing juvederm in the cheeks. read more

During my research I met with several plastic surgeons last year to do my breast augmentation. I decided to go with Austin Plastic Surgery Center because ALL the staff (from administrative to surgeon) were friendly, kind and informative. When I met Dr. Maggi for the first time he was very thorough in explaining the procedure and listened to my needs. I have since had my breast augmentation and several months later returned to have a tummy tuck. I returned to Dr. Maggi for my Tummy Tuck because I was comfortable with him and he did such a great job on my breast that it was a no-brainer. I am now considering having liposuction on other parts of my body which will seal the deal and be my final surgery. I brought my concerns to Dr. Maggi and his staff Lisa and they were considerate in my needs and are working with me in getting the results I am striving for. They both showed interest and followed up with me.
