DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE, i wish i could give zero stars. i hope i can save any other cat moms by writing this post. first of all the windows at this groomer are completely blocked off to where you can't see what's happening inside which is insanely sketchy. second, my appointment was at 1 pm and Michelle wasn't done with my cat until 5:20. a 4 and a half hour horror show. i specifically emphasized how anxious my cat was before i came in and before i dropped him off again, and yet my cat was forced to wait hours anxiously around other dogs before she actually started. I asked for a bath and sanitary trim and i receive my cat still completely wet. no sanitary trim. and the most horrifying part, Michelle tried to tell me it took longer because my cat scratched her and she was busy cleaning off her blood (my cat HAS NEVER ever ever scratched anyone or any groomer) turns out she was actually cleaning off MY CATS blood because she cut half his vain off while trimming his nails. i paid an overpriced amount to bring my terrified cat back home wet, cold, limping, and bloody. read more

I am fortunate that I had a positive experience here. My pup is squirmy and anxious when getting her nails done at the vet so she requires medication. I did let the groomer know this ahead of time in my application notes. The groomer was patient when she came to get my dog from me. My dog happily followed her into the shop. It took about 10 minutes to get her nails trimmed and filed down. The groomer gave my pup lots of treats and reassurance along the way and did a great job. The price was a little more ($4) than what their website quotes. I will still go back since it was half of what I pay at the vet and my dog was a lot happier with her experience with the groomer. read more

They have this very complex price structure, when you request the premium package it includes all the basics, nails, wash, clip, ears....when I picked up my dog, who was stripped which was ok, he had some matting on his ears and I had told them to shave them instead of trying to get them out. The groomer said he liked grinding the dogs nails, I said fine maybe that's why I wound up paying $102.00 for a kind of crappy clip job and clipped nails. Lots of better groomers out there that don't require you to spend 30 mins. Trying to figure out the pricing only to get way over charged for what you get. read more

I have gone to this place for over 10 years. It must have been bought my a new owner because the name changed. My dog was groomed today, had an 8:30 appt. at 8:20 we get a text we have been rescheduled to 11:00. When I got him home the cut was ok but he smelled like anal fluid, he smelled so bad my husband could barely drive home and had to put all the widows down. I nicely called to tell the groomer he had ( LAURIE ) how bad he smelled, she startled yelling and said you are not going to sit there and tell me how bad he smelled because he did not smell that way when he left. She then tried to tell I call and complain every time, in 10 years I have called one other time, and I cannot even remember what for. Then she told me to find another groomer and hung up on me. This grooming place is awful. They made my mom feel discriminated against. If you or a loved one have limited English, expect even worse treatment. The manager is incredibly rude. She thought she put me on hold but I overheard her speaking terribly about my mom. Our pup can be aggressive, and while they asked us to pay more, we complied and even tipped extra. They also pressured us to give more sedation than recommended by our vet, but they still couldn't finish the grooming. Thankfully, the groomer finished our pup on the second visit, but the manager must've instructed them to tell us they won't take our dog anymore. She didn't even give me an estimate about how much the service would cost just started adding on unreasonable fees when I expressed that some else would be picking up my dog, because she was running late. This groomer was extremely rude when I called a couple of times and she would hang up on me when I tried to check my dog's status. When she finally answered she said the my dog was a " huge mess " and it took her so long to dry brush him made it sound so dramatic and annoyed that I was checking in Don't use this business because it lacks professionalism, people there hang up on you when you're trying to check in about your pet, and add fees out of obvious spite or inconvenience to them. read more

I'm not sure of the gal's name who did my sheepadoodle's last groom, but she was EXCELLENT. The folks I dropped my pup with were pretty fussy about my having put that she was a poodle (you had to choose a breed from a drop down menu) when I set the appointment. I clarified that she was a sheepdog poodle mix in the notes... And then she had a few mats near her ears, so the staff who initially took her said that it was going to essentially be a lot more money than I was quoted because of the breed difference and the mats. All to say, I get why the other reviews are a very mixed bag. I dropped my girl off and left pretty annoyed with how rude the staff who took her in had been. But the woman who actually groomed my dog did a fantastic job and charged me the initially quoted price! She was super kind, and I'm going to be sure to ask that my dog is matched up with her again on my next visit. read more

Overall overpriced for what they did. I asked for their "premium" package which includes a hair cut, bath, ear cleaning, and nail trimming. I added tooth brushing additionally, which was another $8 for a total of $78. First of all, my pup's hair was not cut at all, which was the main reason I was coming in. Extremely disappointed in Aurora Pet Grooming. We have taken our 15 yo Shih Tzu there for many years, and we took previous dogs before that. Today I took my dog in for grooming and she was done more quickly than normal. When Francisco brought her to me he told me they could no longer groom her. I asked why and was told "she moves too much". I thought groomers were trained in how to deal with many dog temperaments, but apparently not there any more. Very, very disappointed that other people say the groomers take extra care with their elderly, skittish or nervous dogs but they can't show the same effort to a very long time client. I also noticed my dog lost a front tooth and they never told me! She does have bad teeth but at least notify me. I only noticed because she had blood on her lip. read more

Manager is extremely rude and unprofessional. Also very overpriced. I have a mini golden doodle named Bentley. Bentley has been groomed countless of times in his life. Bentley has never had a cut cost more than $100. We took him here to get a cut 2 days before a week trip to Texas. We we first picked up Bentley, he was brushed out, which is normal. What we didn't realize was how little they had done because of him being brushed out. Bentley has wavy/curly hair and it usually goes back to being wavy/curly after a couple days. Bentley's fur never got back to normal and just grew out more. He was matted and looked as if he hasn't been groomed within that week. We brought Bentley back the day after our trip to show them the problems we had. Someone who was apparently not the manager, told us they understood and saw what we were complaining about and that they'll fix it for free. They scheduled an appointment for us and the rescheduled. The next appointment we showed up 10 minutes late. The manager waited about 15-20 minutes to talk to me, just to say i showed up "30 minutes late" and now she can't cut Bentley. Then she proceeded to say how it was our fault because we didn't tell them a day after we picked up Bentley. She then told me that we don't take care or brush my dog. Bentley is brushed every single day. His fur has never grown back in less than 2 weeks. She lastly told me she won't cut Bentley anymore because the "not manager" wasn't supposed to book us another appointment and only gave me back $20 out of $110 haircut! HORRIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL AND WOULD NOT SHARE HER NAME FOR THIS REVIEW! GO SOMEWHERE WHERE THEY WILL TREAT YOU AND YOUR FURRY FRIEND WITH RESPECT. read more

My dogs were shaved to the skin. One has large sores on top of her head and nose from the clippers being too close to the skin. They seemingly shoved clippers into their ears instead of pulling the hair out of their ears. I was charged extra for dealing with matted fur when neither dog had matted fur dealt with, simply shaved off. My dog doesn't even grow hair on her nose and her nose was badly scraped. If they were unsure of how to handle poodle hair they should have just disclosed this to me and I would have booked somewhere else. I should have just shaved them at home. Management called and told me this is what could be expected, taking no responsibility and letting me know I could take my dogs somewhere else. I plan to do just that! Paid $256 for this! read more

My dog is still in her puppy stage of her life so she can be a little hard to handle but I was very impressed with flora (I believe is her name) with how she handled my dog and was a good listener with my concerns/comments. Great pricing too compared to the other groomer we went to previously in South Park hill. I found this place last year when I had an emergency to trim a dogs nails I was baby sitting. The dew claw was growing into her skin and Nicki was nice enough to get me in quickly same day and only charge me a small fee. She also took pictures of the hole in the skin before bandaging the dog up. Just overall great customer service. They were left to sit in the car with the cat until 11:30, when they were informed their visit was canceled. I had already confirmed this appointment. You really need to improve your communication system so that you can accommodate special needs/emergencies of your customers. We will be definitely trying a different establishment for cat grooming. Even on your website you mentioned having issues with your phones. This needs to be addressed in a more suitable way. read more

I'm so happy to have rediscovered this place. I took my boy there for a while when it was under different owners but recently came back. There is a fantastic, bubbly, sweet young lady named Amy I've been blessed to get to groom my 13 year old Cocker. She treats him like one of her own and does such an amazing job each and every time. She takes special care of him because he has arthritis issues in his back legs. Its very challenging to find someone trustworthy so I'm relieved my boy gets the best care and always looks great at the end of his visit. Dog came out of salon looking great and seemed happy and well taken care and of. Booked dog for BB and hair dye for 2 sections. I was contacted to change my appt time, and had to call back to change to a different day at that point I had a quick conversation with the groomer and she asked what kind of dye job did I want? She told me as long as I didn't want to make him a giraffe or something she could do it. I told her I didn't know what I wanted at that point. She suggested tail and ears, I mentioned that his tail does not uncurl and I didn't want anyone to attempt to uncurl it. She said we'd figure it out day of. Day of, groomer already seemed slightly agitated upon check in, and had us talking in circles about which area to dye. She steamrolled the conversation by talking over me and continuously focusing on tail and ears, I expressed numerous times about his tail not being able to uncurl. She insisted she would try her best to dye it. I said if you can't don't worry about it, as I'm extremely concerned with anyone trying to uncurl tail. I asked how about the paws? As that is what I really wanted, in black. She said they didn't have black but she could mix up colors to make black. I thought it was settled. Paws it is. She called me to pick up dog and said just bath and brush no dye since she didn't have black. Upon pick up I expressed "I'm bummed about not getting dye, as it was the reason I booked with them". I also asked if I could book dye without a bath as I don't like to wash my dog too much. She said she would ask and took my card inside, came back out and said no. I asked for a cc slip to add tip. She stated she assumed I didn't want to tip her bc "I was dissatisfied". I was not dissatisfied, I was bummed and really wanted my dog dyed. I expected at the very least a phone call saying I cannot mix black like I thought, but have x x x color, would any of those work? At the end of the day I felt she just didn't want to do it. This is not a complaint, just constructive criticism that this situation could have been handled differently. It was assumed I was a "Karen" and she became instantly defensive and aggressive. When in reality it was really hard for me to express my disappointment and took my entire return trip to work up the courage to say I was bummed bc our initial interaction was rough. Not everyone that provides feedback about their experience is a jerk or out for a refund. She continually spoke over me as I suggested ways we could have handled situation together and that it was likely just miscommunication, I literally tried to assume all blame by stating that, and just asked to be accommodated by bringing him back next time for just a dye job and not another bath, meaning in a day or two. It didn't matter what I said or how I said it, she had her mind made up I was just another rude ass customer. In reality I have extreme social anxiety and its hard for me to speak up for myself as evident by my stuttering when I felt overpowered in the conversation. I will say its nice that the company she works for empowers their employees to not let customers treat them poorly, but there is a professional and empathetic way to do so, and again not every person that provides feedback is rude. We did end the conversation with her telling me there are plenty other groomers out there and for me to go find another. I didn't mention her name, because she never introduced herself. I really like taking my fur baby here. She's pretty low maintenance and usually only needs her nails done. But she is so ticklish to her paws that Mom can't do it for her at all. I like that I get the option for nail trim or grind or both. She is really picky about where she goes and who is allowed to touch her too; so I feel like she's given them the thumbs up too. I really enjoy these groomers. You can clearly tell they enjoy what they do and care for all the fur babies that come through. read more
