When I first moved to the area, I picked up some paint supplies from Aurora Paint Pot. At checkout, I inadvertently handed over a coupon for a competing paint supplier (not realizing Aurora Paint Pot sells Benjamin Moore, not Sherwin-Williams). After pointing out the mistake the staff still offered me a discount anyway which was very nice.
I returned to Aurora Paint Pot to see if they could match a color on our walls. The previous homeowners left us a large can of paint marked "living room" but after touching up the walls it was most definitely not the same color. The staff explained that if I have a fireplace it's likely the paint color changed over time due to the smoke, or it's possible that it just needed to be shaken up again. He told me to bring the can of paint in and then he shook it in their machine (even though the paint wasn't even purchased there).
