Came here around 10pm on a saturday night. Ambience was nice, service was good but the food was okay everything was cooked to the right doneness but could've been more flavourful.

Came here because I was craving pasta, and it was so cozy inside I had to stay. We got some drinks and different pastas, all which were delicious. The staff was moving quickly even in the small space, and were still super friendly.

From the minute we walked in the door, we felt welcomed. The staff was very attentive, friendly and very happy to be there. We travel to nyc a lot as our daughter is a performer. Well, this gem in the East Village is high on the list of all the restaurants. The tapas menu was perfect for sharing. The Brussels sprouts were the best I ever had, along with the tuna and truffle fries. The experience was so lovely and food and wine so delicious that we just had to try dessert and it did not disappoint. They even threw in some Happy New Year lemon drop shots. I wish I took more pictures of the meal. I can't recommend this place enough and definitely will be retuning! I

Just know the reviews are so high for a reason. This was such a great place to visit. Had an exceptional experience at Aura Bar & Kitchen! We started with the Goat Cheese Bruschetta, which was the perfect balance of creamy and tangy, followed by the Garlic Shrimp -- cooked to perfection with a burst of flavor. The burger was juicy, tender, and definitely one of the best I've had in a while. The gnocchi was light, fluffy, and complemented with a rich sauce. The Pomegranate Mezcal cocktail was a standout, expertly crafted with just the right amount of sweetness and smokiness. Jesse the bartender was amazing, offering great drink recommendations and ensuring everything was perfect. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a great meal and top-notch service!

Beautiful place. Erkan and Vitaly are the best bartenders we have ever had. Nice place, Nicer staff.

Aura had amazing drinks! We also got a small plate of tapas to share and it was delicious. Service was amazing, Andreas was so sweet and attentive and was willing to play along with some typical dad humor

I went here recently with a group of friends. There weren't any seats available inside, but they let us sit on the back patio. For starters we ordered the grilled octopus and it was AMAZING! For my main dish I ordered the bolognese, which wasn't the best. It tasted super watery and overall wasn't my favorite. I did really like the ambiance of the place and the servers/bartenders were friendly enough.

I walked in with a friend on a Saturday night. They have happy hour margaritas which were strong and tasted good. We had truffle fries which were tasty. The servers were very friendly. I'd be curious to come again and try the entrees.

Stopped in for Valentine's Day dinner at this cozy new Italian place in EV. We shared the brussel sprouts as our app - it came out quickly and tasted great. The portion was big for an app. Our meals took a little longer to come out than we expected for simple noodle dishes, we guessed that the pasta was made fresh? I ordered the pasta primavera for my meal (linguine, veggies, olive oil + garlic). The flavor was very mild and I ended up adding a little more salt and pepper. There were plenty of veggies which I was happy about. Overall I liked my meal. For a new restaurant, I wish our waiter shared a little more about the menu or highlighted any specialties.

Service is fast and friendly, and the food is pretty good too. My one complaint is that it is extremely loud! My ears actually hurt after watching one of the Knicks games. They sat us upstairs along the balcony overlooking the main dining room, and the decor... honestly, just look at the photo because I don't even know how to describe it The space used to be a church, and it is SO cool inside. Definitely not your average pizza joint. This place is popular -- there were plenty of people eating -- but surprisingly, our wait wasn't long at all. And even with all the bodies in there, it never felt crammed or uncomfortable. We ordered a small pizza and did half Shrimp Fra Diavolo and half Margherita. The Fra Diavolo had a little kick, but nothing crazy -- and this is coming from someone who cannot handle big spice The Margherita had just the right amount of basil and mozzarella, and that crispy crust was exactly what I wanted. Although there was no major cheese pull, it was still perfect. The small was plenty for the two of us and honestly just perfect. We also had a couple cocktails, which were delicious too. I always say NYC food pricing is kind of deceiving. You look at the price and go, "Ummm..." but then the food comes out and you realize they give you A LOT. Definitely felt like we got our money's worth here. Great pizza, really cool atmosphere, and a fun first NYC pizza experience for the husband. Happy Eating, Chass

The wait was worth it though because they know how to do pizza. The crust just crisp enough, the sauce flavorful, and the toppings plentiful. I made a reservation ahead of time because I figured the bar area might be packed with the pre-theater crowd. I was initially drawn to Fushimi because of its proximity to the theater district, decent reviews, and its location right near the A train exit. The restaurant is somewhat hidden and looks small from the outside. Once you walk through the door, however, there's a surprisingly long hallway lined with red hanging banners that leads into a beautiful, modern dining room. The atmosphere was quiet and low-key, with predominantly Beatles music playing in the background. We checked in for our reservation, but the restaurant was empty, so we decided to sit at the bar to take advantage of their 4-7 p.m. happy hour, which offers several discounted food and alcohol options that aren't available to patrons who sit in the main dining room. There was only one bartender working. She did her job, but I wouldn't describe her as particularly attentive or friendly, especially considering we were her only customers for the hour and 15 minutes we were there. We ordered two cocktails. I had a sweet martini, and my date had a passion fruit margarita with Tajín. Thankfully, the drinks were delicious sweet, strong, and probably the highlight of our visit. We ended up having two each during our early pre-theater dinner. For food, we ordered Korean wings, crispy rice with spicy tuna, filet mignon with crispy garlic chips, and a lobster roll.Overall, the food was just okay. Nothing was bad, but nothing was particularly memorable or flavorful enough to make me want to come back. The pros: The wings were very crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The filet mignon itself was tender. The crispy rice was nicely crispy without being overdone. The cocktails were well balanced. The cons: The filet mignon with crispy garlic chips was probably my biggest disappointment. The description was misleading. It came as two very small skewers of meat with no sauce and barely any seasoning on the steak. The "crispy garlic chips" were essentially a few random flakes of (? not sure what) sprinkled on top of the tiny meat skewers. The dish looked underwhelming and lacked flavor. Knowing what I know now, I definitely wouldn't order it again.I love crispy rice with spicy tuna, so I had high hopes for that dish. Unfortunately, the spicy tuna didn't taste particularly spicy or fresh. The lobster roll looked beautiful. There was definitely lobster both inside and on top of the roll, but again, the flavors just didn't wow me. It was visually appealing but ultimately forgettable. The wings were honestly the best food we ordered, but even those weren't what I expected from something labeled Korean wings. I expect Korean style wings to be sticky, saucy, and full of flavor, the kind that leave you with sauce all over your fingers. These were fried beautifully but were exceptionally bland. There was a dipping sauce with some heat, but it didn't have enough flavor to make the dish exciting. Bottom line:Fushimi is in a very convenient location for a pre-theater meal, and the restaurant itself is beautiful and comfortable. The cocktails were also pretty good. Unfortunately, the food and service were mediocre, especially considering the price. The reviews for this place definitely seem to vary, but based on my experience, if you're looking for sushi or Asian-inspired dishes with bold flavors and those little pops of flavor that make a meal memorable, I'd probably pass on this one.For me, this was a one and done.

There are no signs, and you walk up a set of steps and through a thick curtain to get inside. It's tucked into an old brownstone and very easy to miss. We went right around 7pm, and it was completely empty. That actually makes sense since Broadway shows start around then, so it's a great time to hit a bar or restaurant in the area. We sat at the bar. Service was a bit mixed. The bartender we had wasn't very friendly, but we did get our drinks without issue. We ordered a couple of Mexican mules and a martini. The martini was fabulous -- definitely the standout. Unfortunately, the mules were not great. I was also hoping for some specialty or holiday cocktails, but there weren't any. That said, the space itself is beautiful and has a cool, hidden-gem feel. The other staff we interacted with were very nice -- we just happened to get the grumpy bartender. Would I go back? Probably not, but only because there are so many other places in NYC I'd want to try. Still, it's a cool spot (if you can find it).

The bar is not marked by a sign either. What may have been a hidden secret in the past is not so much a secret these days. They take reservations over phone up to one week in advance. There's a number of tables and booth seating, and a few bar seats available for a walk in. The menu of food is pretty decent though lacking in many vegetarian or vegan options. I opted for a grilled cheese sans the bacon and it was good. The grilled cheese has goat cheese in it which may not be for every one. I had an aviation drink and a glass of riesling. The cocktail was pretty standard. The wine was good. Service was generally good and attentive at the bar. The host in the front was kind. It seems like they have a coat check which I did not use. There is one bathroom in the back. The bar is definitely more crowded pre and post theater. It was packed 5pm-7pm but around 7pm, it became noticeably quiet and the bar emptied out. I'd suggest coming here while a show is playing to avoid a crowd. However, even with a packed house, the bar was not loud. Of course, if you prefer a pre or post theater cocktail, I'd recommend a reservation to guarantee entry. While this bar won't be known for its drinks or food, I think much of the allure stems from the location and the reputation for attracting famous clientele. It's a pretty chill place in the midst of crazy Times Square, so I'd definitely come back. While it may attract some tourists (if they find out about it), it generally seemed to cater to the wider New York crowd (I.e Manhattanites but also Westchester folk, Long Islanders, New Jerseyans driving in, etc)

Instead of taking the review as constructive criticism and maybe improve their service, he decided to be hateful. The food was "nice" but not great. Didn't receive what we ordered, and service was nonexistent. The business owner's response is very disappointing. In late November, we went to Bacall's to soak up the holiday spirit. And my goodness, they was full of holiday spirit!!! From the moment we walked in, the inside was decked out with crazy amount of decorations. You go up the staircase to upper level to the main dining area. It was called Frosty's Christmas Bar inside the Bacall's, and it sure was spectacular. Decoration in every inch of the place, from top to bottom. In addition to that, they had a few photo-op spots, which were really fun too. We ordered some drinks, Meet Me at Bacall's, Espresso Martini, and White Sangria. I liked that they had some blueberries in the Meet Me at Bacall's and the White Sangria. All the drinks were all nice and tasty, and a good portion too. For food, one of us ordered Braised Short Rib, but we somehow received Filet Mignon... Since the server never really came back to check on us, we just had that. It was a nice dish, although it was not what we ordered. Linguini Vongole was nice, the pasta was cooked well, coated in the flavorful sauce. It had a good amount of clams. Steak Frites was tasty. The steak was cooked just the way I wanted, juicy and flavorful. It was a nice sized steak, very filling too. The fries were addictive, went great with the steak. For dessert, I was very interested in their layer cake. I saw a few pictures of it, and looked really good. Bacall's 16 Layer Cream Cake looked different from the pictures I saw, which was all ivory color. The one we received was festive with red and green, perfect for holiday dessert. Unfortunately, it only looked good. Each layer of cake was a bit tough, and not as creamy as I thought it would be. Good thing we also ordered Japanese Cheesecake, because it was quite good. I was very curious what makes it "Japanese" cheesecake. When it arrived, I got it. The cake was round and stacked on top of each other, looks like popular and famous Japanese soufflé pancakes. We had a fun dinner there, with overload of holiday decorations. The atmosphere was perfect to take in the holiday spirit. However, we couldn't say the same for the service. At the beginning, it was ok, but then we felt like we were forgotten by our waiter. The place was not that busy when we visited... He never really came by to check on us, or brough our check. We had to get whoever else around to get our check. When we saw that they already included 20% tip to the check, although there were just three of us, we understood the bad service. If they thought they are going to get 20% tip regardless, then they might think they don't need to provide good service... Bringing the wrong dish, never checking on us, etc. Regardless to say, we were disappointed with the service. But, it was a fun place to go visit during the holiday season.
