Guess I was the first order after 3pm opening. Well after hearing all summer from my friends that I should try it... I regretted it. Did they give me a burger that they meant for themselves to eat before they opened for biz? The patty was overcooked, dry, bland... worst thing was it wasn't even warm. The bun was yum. Such a disappointment

The people working there were super efficient and really friendly. Love that you can buy t-shirts and bags there too. Their Kumasi burger looked like it should have been in an ad. It was the most perfect looking burger and is topped with everything you want. That bun will be on my mind for days. The patty was perfectly cooked and the ratio of condiments to bun to patty was ideal. I also loved the plantains with the garlic and spices. I've never had that before and I can't recommend it enough!

Much appreciated 2 can dine special... The app and online booking is very easy and dependable. Picked 6:15; and ready for 6:13, even got a text at 6:09 giving me a heads up. Only downside; ate outside (freezing), the burgers and fries are great. Worthy of repeat visits and positive addition for annex neighbourhood.

2/5 I should have read the reviews before going - this place was not good at all. COVID-19 Precautions: 0/5 The staff wasn't wearing masks, and there was no distancing. Burger: 2/5 It was nothing special at all. A bit over cooked and not smashed adequately. Fries: 3/5 Probably the best part. Nothing special, but not terrible. Value: 0/5 It was $20 for a burger and fries.

Got the Kumasi Burger Combo which consists of a 4oz beef patty, a slice of American cheese, onions, pickles, lettuce, tomato, Lucy's sauce, all on a potato bun with a side a fries and a can of pop. The beef patty was moist and had a nice beefy taste to it. Even though its 4oz it was a decent size sandwich. Fries were thick cut, crispy and had a nice hickory peppery taste to it. Portion size was generous with plenty enough to share with friends. A great spot for those that love burgers and fries.

I was invited to the Yelp Elite event at Aunty Lucy's and received a deal of $9.99 for 2 burger combos. Thank you Yelp for supporting black owned business, and thank you Aunty Lucy's for your generosity. I was able to order in advanced around 2 PM for a 7:30 PM dinner pick up. When I arrived, the food was ready to go. The burgers were dressed with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, cheese & special sauce. Overall a great smash burger, I just wish I had it hot! It was a long drive home. The fries however were delicious! Very generous portion too. Enough fries for 3-4 people. Reheated them in the air fryer and they were excellent. Thank you again!!

I had the opportunity to try Aunty Lucy's through a Yelp elite offer and boy am I glad I did. I had the Kumasi burger with fries and loved every part of the combo. The burger was juicy and not too heavy and the fries were crispy and abundant. Surprisingly nothing was soggy or cold despite sitting in the bag for a while. Given COVID, I had to takeout. Luckily, there's plenty of street parking around the area, so I was able to eat it relatively fresh. The guys at the shop were super friendly and the restaurant also had some sweet merch. I'll definitely be back once dine-in reopens.

I was so excited to be a Yelp Elite again this year and promised myself to write more reviews, since I want continually support the local restaurants in Toronto and GTA at large, This past weekend, I participated in the YES Meal: 2 Can Dine for $9.99 With Aunty Lucy's and I enjoyed it despite the bitter cold!! The combo was such an exclusively sweet deal! Yelp Elite Signature Combo 2 Kumasi burgers , 2 fries and 2 drinks $9.99 We were so full after and as always, I added the fries and some fried plantains into my own Beyond Burger and it was the perfect hardiness!! So satisfyingly crunchy without that much oil! We highly recommend getting the $5 kelewele (fried plantain) from here and I am so happy that this place has a Beyond Burger option. I have always been a huge fan of it!! This beyond burger was sizeable and so filling!! The combo worked out so well! High ratings for family-friendly combo deals!! My boyfriend devoured his Kumasi burger with 4oz beef Patty so fast! I love supporting local businesses as well as black owned businesses, especially during the month of February for Black History Month! The staff there was super friendly and you can also buy merch at the storefront. Everything was ready for pickup at the time arranged and there's plexiglass and good spacing to feel safer during this unprecedented times. The exclusive price really sealed it in for me. I cannot wait for another YES event!! Thanks for having me!

This was my first time ordering from Aunty Lucy's...i chose them because i was in the mood for a "solid" burger rather than the ones with opulent toppings that you see all over Instagram. these days. From that perspective, their Accra double burger delivered. It had traditional toppings (except mustard, which i love) although i would say it was a bit "pickle heavy". In fact the pickles were so pronounced that i considered removing them but i like to keep things original on my first order so i get a sense of the place. The two 4oz. patties were definitely filling. I know by law that restaurants in Ontario have to serve hamburgers at least medium unless they grind the meat in house..i wonder if that is an option here as medium rare would have made this perfect. The bun was good .. I am glad it did not have sesame seeds. Another review here mentioned that the bun came apart but i didnt have any such issues. The fries were also good...they were soft/squishy, which i prefer to crispy...nice touch on the pepper as well. The Shito hot sauce was interesting...it had the texture of a jam or jelly and tasted black peppery (so not super hot). So pretty much as i expected..."solid"

    The Nima Chicken Thigh Sandwich
    Culinary S.

The Food We've been eager to try Aunty Lucy's Burgers ever since a good friend of ours recommended them. We ordered the Accra Burger and The Nima (a limited time offer chicken burger), an order of fries and a coke. Then it was off to a nearby park for a Covid-lockdown take out picnic. The Nima sandwich was fabulous. The deep fried chicken thigh was hot and crisp and juicy - and not at all oily. And the toppings were super fresh. This is an excellent sandwich that we hope they make a regular menu item. The Accra Burger has delicious, juicy meat patties and the same fresh toppings. But we were a bit disappointed in the bun. The bottom half was already beginning to disintegrate when we opened the package (and we got the order fresh from the kitchen and opened the take-away only a few minutes later) and even the top half of the bun was challenged to contain the patties and toppings. This burger would benefit from a more robust bun for sure. In both cases we would order their house made Shito Sauce to spice things up a bit. This is something we would definitely do on our next visit. The fries were really good; hot and crispy and tasty - not over salted/spiced like so many fries are these days. And the portion is HUGE (could have easily served three, perhaps even four, people) - great value for money there. And while we'd definitely order them again the next time we visit we'll order the Ghanaian sides: jollof rice and kelewele. Service This is a bit hard to evaluate during lockdown. But what we can say is that the person we met when we picked up our order was super friendly. The sense we get is that their space would be very warm and welcoming when dine-in becomes an option again. Price Total cost of our very filling lunch (we ate a 2:30 pm and only felt the need to have a light snack at 9:00 pm!) was $37.00, inclusive of taxes and tip - a very fair price for the quality and quantity of the food. Summary We'll be ordering from Aunty Lucy's again, this time ensuring that we get their Shito sauce to add to the burgers and with traditional Ghanaian side dishes. We look forward to our return visit.

The fried chicken is a rip off and doesn't arrive as advertised, burgers are on the bland side imo, patties overcooked.

The I Heart Butter Tart Concrete ($6.49) that I ordered was a little too much for myself. I did decide to go through and finish the ice cream / sundae just so I don't have anything to go. The interior of the place was properly though out and well designed. Self order stations are available to order from and the ordering interface is one of the better systems I have seen. When I dined in early afternoon on a weekday it was a rather slow day. There were a couple of Shake Shack employees constantly roaming about the premises ready to attend to any customer request. 1 such employee was thoughtful enough to serve me and a group of other customers some water. I have mixed feelings about the bathroom setup. Yes, it is clean and there were a few toilet rooms available, but it requires a code to be entered prior to using. The door screen shows as vacant but an employee still needs to give out the 4 digit code needed to access the toilets. I also found some issues with the water faucet sensors. It is inconsistently picking up my gestures resulting in an unreliable and unsteady flow of running water when I was washing my hands.

The service was friendly and patient as I was greeted upon entry and took my time perusing the menu. The restaurant was very clean and organized, not a lot of stuff on the walls and the bathrooms were in top shape which I appreciated. I ordered the classic double burger, with a side a fries and a cane cola. The burger was delicious! Toppings were fresh and tasty, and it made a mess with the sauces and condiments which is a sign of a great burger. It wasn't overly huge, a good size for my hands and they did get messy as I devoured this scrumptious burger. The Cane Cola was a nice accompaniment to try for the first time but not necessary to enjoy the burger. The fries were golden and crispy and quite a large portion for the price. I just wished the fry lengths were a bit longer as I received a lot of tiny pieces instead of longer potatoes which meant I was scooping them up in my hand to eat them. Not a dealbreaker, just an annoyance. The wait for the food wasn't very long, about 5-8 minutes and they brought the order to the table. I really enjoyed the burger and fries making this NOT just another burger spot but MTTBS = Must try this burger spot!

Went on Monday afternoon as I was on my regular driving route and ordered the crispy chicken burger.
