4.5 stars overall. Boulevard Sweet Shoppe sells mostly fudges and chocolates such as truffles,…read moreturtles, and chocolate-covered pretzels. Other products include gummies and Philadelphia Water Ice, which I believe is Italian ice. As soon as my husband and I entered the store, an employee kindly greeted us. He told us about his products, and he offered free samples of his fudges. I bought two products, and here are my reviews for them: Chocolate-caramel-pecan turtles - 4.5 stars - Four turtles weighed 1/4 pound and cost $8. I would prefer more chocolate and caramel and fewer pecans, but I thought that these turtles tasted good. Bourbon Cherry Chocolate fudge - 4.5 stars - This fudge cost $5 for 1/4 pound. I enjoyed the sweet flavors. I saw many other chocolates and other sweets that looked delicious, but I try to have a generally healthy diet, so I will wait to buy more sweets here until I am in the neighborhood again.

I was walking through the streets of Oakmont when I stumbled upon this little sweet shop. The man…read moreinside of the shop informed me about all of the different flavors of fudge and other sweet treats which were being sold. You also have the option to try out some samples before you buy. Although all the truffles and chocolates looked delicious, today, I decided to just try the penuche fudge, peanut butter chocolate fudge, and the chocolate covered popcorn. The penuche fudge was delicious, but also quite sweet (on the verge of being too sweet). When describing what the fudge tastes like, the shop owner said it is similar to a Werther's caramel. I agree; there is definitely a caramely taste. I tried a sample of the plain milk chocolate which was absolutely amazing. The triple chocolate fudge is also great and consists of white, dark, and milk chocolate. The next fudge I got was the peanut butter chocolate fudge. It is made with Belgian milk chocolate (all the chocolate they use is Belgian). The chocolate flavor is perfectly sweet. The peanut butter flavor is strong and creamy. The texture is on point in both of the fudges. And, the price is quite reasonable with a 1/4 pound costing $5. Finally, the chocolate covered popcorn was also great. A whole bag is just $3! The chocolate is by far the best part of this sweet treat. I believe it is the same high quality milk chocolate they use in their fudge. The popcorn itself was okay, but it was too buttery in my opinion. All in all, I will definitely return to the Boulevard Sweet Shoppe. The service is friendly, there is a great sweet selection, and the flavors are quite good. When it comes to Oakmont sweets: get your baked goods at the Oakmont Bakery, and stop by the Boulevard Sweet Shoppe for candies, fudge, bark, and other sweets.

Tucked at the end of the road, The Lot feels like an oasis with ample parking, beacon of a huge sign, and modern facade in a somewhat aged main road of a town otherwise. With large glass windows shining in the natural light, the restaurant feels classy yet comfortable. Perfect for a date night out, a corporate outing, or just a lazy weekend brunch! The menu is filled with modern ingredients and popular dishes. I've eaten brunch, lunch, and dinner here.. but this outing was just for lunch! I ordered the Pickle Fried Chicken sandwich with a side of Onion Rings. As you can see, the sandwich was HUGE. Not just a simple chicken breast, but a butterflied breast that could feed a small family. Even with the toppings piled on, the bun held up and the sandwich was sooooo good. Don't sleep in the onion rings... these were basically deep fried bracelets. I'd consider it as an appetizer for the family with how large the portion was. Everyone at our table grabbed a to-go box.. even those who ordered just a salad. To top it off, the service was phenomenal. Even with a pretty busy midweek lunch service, our waitress was always available for refills and any request.

The charge for credit card use is 1.5% to 3.5%. Why do you charge your patrons 4%? Why are the restrooms cold (in winter)? Why is the main dining room cold? (in winter)? And my MAIN BEEF is, why can't you spring for some long sleeved thermal shirts in Navy Blue with your logo on it for your servers. You keep buying up restaurants. I can guarantee you, the long sleeved T's are a lot cheaper!

Examples of menu items are salads, bagels, crepes, pancakes, French toasts, waffles, omelettes, croissants, paninis and other sandwiches, and coffees. My husband and I ate one breakfast here on a Saturday morning. An employee immediately and courteously greeted us and seated us at a clean and spacious table. Soon she took our order and brought out our drinks and foods. At the end of the meal, she promptly processed our payment and thanked us. Here are my ratings for what my husband and I ate: Turkish Plate - 4.5 stars - I think that Gino might be Turkish, and this entree was one of the few Turkish menu items. It consisted of scrambled eggs, black olives, two cheeses, sliced tomato and cucumber, French fries, toasted bread, jelly, honey, and butter. Fruit Tea Waffle - 5 stars - A waffle was topped with Nutella, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, and powdered sugar. The fruits were very fresh, abundant, and sweet. On the side was whipped cream. Egg-bacon Omelet - 4 stars - My husband ate this omelet, and he thought that it tasted good. It was a good size, and it contained bacon, onions, and mozzarella cheese. On the side were three plain pancakes. Orange juice - 4.5 stars - This orange juice contained some purple and tasted fresh.

Classic deli with fresh sliced meats and delicious sides to accompany your sandwich selection!…read more Located right on the main stretch of Oakmont, this deli clearly has been around for some time and has the nostalgic feeling of Oakmont all through out. Handwritten signs direct you to where you order and the staff is so pleasant to make you the best deli sandwich that you can dream up. Waiting for the fresh sliced meat doesn't feel like a wait at all.. as you can look around and peruse their Oakmont decor. Hanging old letterman jackets, propping up photos like the mantle is in your living room.. you can feel the hometown and the warm family environment. I ordered the Bertha's Buffalo Chicken Wrap with Hot Sauce. They loaded the wrap with plenty of chicken and the fresh pops of cucumber were such a pleasant relief from the buffalo sauce. Unwrapping my lunch and finding the classic deli pickle was all a lovely throwback. After your order is ready, they call your number up to the counter and take payment... and that's when I spotted the Deli Brownie. Wrapped in Saran Wrap and unassumingly marked $2, I knew these bad boys were most likely scratchmade today like a school bake sale. The brownie was soft and rich with chocolate goodness. The perfect compliment to a delicious quick meal. Pop in to Oakmont Deli - you'll be satisfied!

The employee's service was prompt and courteous. I ordered the Reggie Veggie wrap (4 stars), which contained spring mix, tomato, red onion, cucumbers, peppers, and dressing. The wrap got soggy, and the dressing was strong, so I recommend that less dressing be used. My husband ordered the Chrissy Club (4 stars), which contained turkey, ham, American cheese, bacon bits, spring mix, mayonnaise, and no tomato at his request. The bread got soggy, so he ate only the meat. For sides, we got the potato salad (5 stars) and the macaroni salad (4.5 stars). The total price was about $25.
