Sometimes you want to eat something healthy & not spend $100 doing it. Pokemoto to the rescue! We share a large BYO poke. Hubby loves toppings so I always ask if we can have the mixed grains & brown rice in a separate bowl. We get a combo of ahi tuna & salmon - 3 scoops total. Then he goes to town ordering pretty much everything on the mix-ins, toppings & crunch menus! We usually get the sesame ginger dressing mixed in with the poke & ask for the wasabi aioli & chili garlic oil on the side. It is filling, delicious, fresh, crunchy & satisfying without weighing you down as you wander around the casino!

It comes with corn, cilantro, jalapeños and sweet onions toss in garlic oil besides the shrimp and rice. Every bite was scrumptious! I almost wished that I got a large bowl instead of a regular. First order of business is to choose a base of either white or brown rice. The server then added all the ingredients in a separate bowl and tossed together with the sauce before serving over the rice in the bowl. I also got a spam musubi that was a little too salty and had too much rice. It would not do well to eat after the bowl because it took the flavor of the bowl away from my tastebuds. I regretted that decision very quickly. They also ran out of the soup so best to ask before deciding to choose only that. I also tried a mango bubble tea and that was nice and light. There was plenty of seating and not all too crowded. The staff was nice too. I'd recommend this place definitely.

I visited Scorpio Bar at Foxwoods after shopping at the outlets with one of my girlfriends. Since…read morethere was going to be a wait for a table, we decided to sit at the bar. The ambiance at Scorpion Bar is nice. The lightening is nice and the decor is cool. My friend ordered a mango mojito and I ordered a virgin mojito which was surprisingly very tasty and refreshing. It did take a while for our food order to be taken. One of the bartenders said she would come back to take our food order after finishing a round of drinks, but then never came back so we had to ask another bartender to take our order after about 10 minutes of waiting. We ordered the nachos with ground beef. Those were pretty good, I liked how cheesy they were. For our main meal, we decided to get two tacos each and the birria quesadilla. The tacos were good! My favorite was the Baja fish taco. It was very flavorful and one of the best fish tacos I've had in CT. I was disappointed in the birria quesadilla. It was just OKAY. It was pretty pricey for just the quesadilla and no sides. I didn't think the meat was seasoned enough. The last item we got was the fried ice cream for dessert. We got it because the bartender said it was a large portion and was pretty good. It was NOT that goood. It was extremely large...like almost too big. The fried dough that covered the ice cream was very sugary and wasn't warm and the ice cream was very plain. I would not recommend. Overall, I think if you are looking for a restaurant at the casino with good ambiance, good drinks and decent food, I would recommend Scorpion Bar.

Guy Fieri's Foxwoods is basically what happens when a marketing team says, "What if we turned…read morevolume into a restaurant?" The place is loud, flashy, and absolutely convinced it's the main character... even if the food is giving more supporting cast energy. Sure, the décor screams "Flavortown," but the actual flavors? More like a polite wave from across the street. The menu reads like it's auditioning for a Food Network montage, but the dishes land squarely in the "I mean... it's fine" category. Nothing offensive, nothing memorable, nothing worth texting the group chat about. Service is friendly, but you can tell they've had to explain the same five signature items 400 times a day. And honestly, the whole experience feels engineered for people who want to say they went to Guy Fieri's restaurant more than they want to actually eat at Guy Fieri's restaurant. Fun once, especially if you're already at Foxwoods and need a break from losing money. But if you're expecting a culinary pilgrimage to the gates of Flavortown, temper those expectations. Cheers

I go to Foxwoods Casino about once a month to gamble (bingo, slots.table games), and I always find…read moremyself eating at Subway (it's probably the cheapest place to get food in the whole casino). They are located in the Festival Slots area, adjacent to the bingo hall. They have all the subs you would expect at your local Subway (cold cut combo, chicken breast, turkey, meatball, tuna, etc), but the prices are more expensive because of their location, and they don't honor the Subway Card points, or accept Subway coupons. Also, ever since I've been coming to Foxwoods, they always seem to be understaffed (even when there's a line of 20-30 hungry customers waiting to order sandwiches, there are only 2 people making them. What's up with that?), so the line can get quite long, and the wait time excessive. Because of this, the staff get stressed trying to hurry things along, and sometimes the quality of your sandwich suffers. The food can be worse than your regular Subway. I've had both good and sub-par sandwiches here. Subway also has a second location in the Cedar Food Court (on the concourse leading back to the Great Cedar Garage), but it's smaller. I don't think they bake bread or anything there. They just bring food and supplies from the other location to there. I've never ordered a sub from the second location.
