    Milk chocolTe pretzel

Cute store with quality chocolates. I had milk chocolate pretzel and really liked it!

I made a pit stop in Mystic CT on my way to MA. I found this chocolate shop with tons of items to choose from Apparently, it is not a secret since the place was packed. I can understand why. Tons of tasty treats to bring home to the guys. We all enjoyed the chocolate. I'll definitely make another pit stop when I'm in the area. Yum!

Popped in munson's for a few pieces of chocolate. Great little candy shop in Olde Mistic Village!

Had lunch at the old mystic village w friends and we saw the signs and were drown in to stop in for the fresh chocolate dipped frozen bananas for dessert. What a great decision and a must stop for $3.99 it's well worth it. Very refreshing on a hot day. You can choose either the mild chocolate or dark chocolate. You won't be disappointed. The had 2 girls working but alittle slow service. But wasn't bad as they have a great AC system and was very cold waiting.

Yum! I'm still snacking on the delicious chocolate I got from this spot during Mystic's Garlic Fest last week! The frozen banana I got was fresh and delicious too - their advertisement outside had me craving it! I only wished they had a little extra help due to the festival. My companion decided to not get any counter items due to a slow moving line and only one person working.

This is definitely not the best chocolate ever, but they do offer a great selection of treats, and it's CT's largest retail chocolate manufacturer with 8 stores sprinkled around the state. It's not cheap so when we do go we like to get the container of the "broken" pieces which may consist of 1 or several different kinds of candies. We tried the coconut clusters and were not impressed, but the truffles were excellent. They also have fudge and taffy. I would recommend stopping in.

Munson's is a Connecticut based Chocolate company, with only eight stores in our little state. I've received and given many Munson's gifts throughout the years. I really like their store in Mystic. Mystic is all about local, small businesses and this is a great place for one of their stores. As per usual there are lots of options of chocolate here, especially now that it's the holiday season. You'll find plenty of dark chocolate and milk chocolate choices, and some in between. On my recent visit to this store I got a half pound of dark chocolate covered raisins. I've always loved this, and sometimes if not stored correctly the chocolate is too hard, or too sticky. These are just perfect. I really enjoyed. The young man, was pleasant and efficient. There are lots of gift ready items, or items sold by weight. I highly recommend this Munson's location, in lovely Old Mystic Village.

Love this chocolate shop! So many delicious treats! Totally loved their s'mores candy, the malted milk balls, turtles, sea salt & caramel chocolates, peanut butter cup and so much more! Typical kid in the candy shop.

Beautifully packaged delicious (and pricey) chocolates. What drew me in was the frozen banana sign. A frozen banana dipped in your choice of milk or dark chocolate and rolled in either peanuts or almonds. It was delicious.

This is an amazing Connecticut based chocolate shop. Everything isn't made in house but at their factory. Located right in Mystic Village, this is one of the local destination stops. I absolutely love their assorted chocolates to give for gifts but you can individual chocolates as well. I saw a sign outside of their shop for a homemade chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich dipped in chocolate. My friend and I asked the cashier if the cookie was hard on the cookie and he said it's partially hard. There is nothing better than a soft chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich but he couldn't give us a full answer. We ordered it anyways and it was the best ice cream sandwich I've ever had. The crisp outer chocolate shell was the icing on the cake. It's a small sandwich but it's worth every penny. I can't wait to go back and get another one when I'm in town!

I'm so glad I tried the deviled egg - that crispy clam strip was such a nice touch and being Ukrainian, the beet pickling is in my DNA! Excellent brunch choice for our Mystic getaway!

The service was okay while the food came out in a timely manner. I liked that some of the fish items listed the fishing vessel on the menu. Three appetizers were ordered which consisted of a beet pickled deviled egg ($4 each), chilled oysters (Half Dozen $18), and the local fluke crudo ($17). The egg had a crispy clam strip and espelette pepper. This was solid. I thought the clam strip was a little too overpowerful given the size of that and the egg. The pickled beet egg was interesting, and I liked how the filling was also under the egg, so the egg did not move. The Riverhawk oysters were fresh and tasty. The mignonette was simple and paired well. The crudo had an herb mayo, pickled ramps, kelp crisp, and pickled sugar kelp. This was alright. It seemed like fennel or a similar type of herb was used in one of the pickling items, which took over a little bit. The kelp crisp was nice and paired well with the fluke. For an entrée, I had the local scup a la plancha ($37). It came with Marshall Cove mussels, fondant potato, English peas, and a saffron emulsion. This was a nice sized portion. I thought the saffron emulsion was key and went together with everything else on the plate. The mussels were fresh again, and the potatoes were cooked perfectly. It was a well-done dish, but the use of scup made it feel more modest, but maybe that was the point, so what do I know? I also tried the scallop dish that came with green crab crispy rice, chili crispy, and a garlic aioli. The rice was very crispy, and it reminded me of a traditional hibachi rice, but elevated. The scallops had a perfect cook to them too. For dessert, the oyster ice cream ($10) was tried. It had to be tasted when it was on the menu. It had a slight briny flavor, but nothing too overpowerful. The ice cream itself was very creamy with a nice texture. I believe Greek yogurt was used, which probably helped with the oyster flavor that was incorporated. Will I go back? Sure.

I am rating only Mystic Market West on Noank Road…read more There are two Mystic Markets, one on the east side of Mystic heading towards Masons Island and the other on the west side of Mystic heading toward Noank. We live nearby so we go to both often. Their food is above the average price but worth it. We have never walked away dissatisfied. I'm hooked on their potato salad ($6.99 a pound) which they only offer during summer. It's some of the best I've had. They also have a delicious Thai calamari salad ($13.99 a pound) and delicious desserts. There are many delicious varieties of foods including hot or cold sandwiches and grinders plus soup. Both places also have a small grocery store section where you can get wonderful imported foods. There are only two tables at Mystic Market West so prepare to get your order to GO. Take-out is easily available. Avoid Mystic Market East at all costs. The staff are highly rude, appear to be miserable working there, and avoid eye contact with you at all costs. They just totally ignore you. Parking is very limited so be prepared for that. We would recommend Mystic Market West but not Mystic Market East.

One star off for getting sandwich orders occasionally wrong In the summer, it's at least 20-30 minutes longer than they say to get the order. And they get the sandwich order completely wrong almost every single time. I've almost had to cancel online orders and ask for a refund as I waited at the counter. June through August: go somewhere else.
