We did a lot of shopping this morning in the mall and I was very hungry ( Shopping is hard work! :). As soon as we walked out of Macy's department store I saw Auntie Anne's and this was just what I needed it to get me through until I go home. The pretzel was delicious and it was only $6.00. I don't drink soda so I asked for a water and she gave me a nice glass of ice water for 50 cents. I had a great experience and I felt much better since I ate my auntie Anne Pretzel- I am no longer hungry :)

    Burnt hotdog pretzels.

The little hot dogs were burnt on two sides and raw in the middle. I think that their ovens are too hot. I got a large coke and the cup was almost full of crushed ice and not much soda. I asked for a refill but I was told no refill unless I paid full price. I showed them my empty cup of coke with ice almost to the top and they say that it was the normal amount of ice that they put on a cup. One scoop. One giant scoop. I should have just gotten a coke out of the $2 machine at the mall. I usually like Auntie Anne's at other malls but this one at the Chandler Mall I will avoid in the future.

There is something to be said about the smell of something drawing you in and making you crave it. That is the case for pretzels made by Auntie Anne's. The pretzels just melt in your mouth and have this fluffy buttery texture. I stopped by this location in the Arrowhead mall with my daughter while we were shopping and it did not disappoint. We opted for the pretzel bites which just hit the spot and let us keep shopping without having to break for a full meal. If you like soft pretzels but have not tried Auntie Annies then you are definitely missing out. Try some. Now to explain why they lost a star... well that was due to the server behind the counter. You could tell she was not happy to be there and just wanted to either be gone or for us to leave. Sometimes you have to look that past though, because she could have been having a bad day. Just wish I wasn't able to tell it.

Mold on the Pretzel dogs, literally can't "we can't really do anything" over food that was bad.

They do not have the hocus pocus shake. They only have vanilla soft serve, no cakes either. They are mostly a pretzel store.

The pretzel was good. Service was horrible, cashier didn't say one word to me but was definitely enjoying chatting with her coworkers.

That, and the fact you could watch them making pretzels through the window...the smell + watching them make = gonna buy something! Most likely the store has pretzel samples upon request; we bypassed that idea and ordered 2 things of cinnamon wetzel bitzs (with that sweet caramel dip) and a couple of frozen strawberry lemonades. The Wetzel bitz were good but tasted about 15 minutes old, made more palatable with the caramel dip. The frozen drinks were good, with the right amount of ice and lemonade. With a friendly staff and a convenient location, they should have no problem getting business. Use military discount if you have it. I recommend downloading the free app...I didn't (my town has no store); it's worth considering. Just make sure everything's made fresh.

I asked for the sour cream & onion pretzel bites, because those were my favorite. In response, the cashier looked at me like I was stupid. So, I settled for regular pretzel bites instead with my mango boba. Everyone was in such a rush, they completely doused my pretzel bites with too much salt. I was not satisfied. That's why it's a 1 out of 5 rating. DO NOT COME HERE unless you want to feel horrible after you finish your food.

For me, it was a big hike up to the north side- but totally worth the haul! I grew up in the Midwest, occasionally going to one or two German restaurant/ clubs, so this was not an unfamiliar atmosphere to me. It is definitely a "seasoned" vibe, having immediately taken over the space by a former western bar/beer hall that had been in existence for 50+ years. Their menu says "German and Hungarian" but all I read was German. They have a solid European beer selection, including taps and bottles and some cocktails with a German twist. The one that threw me for a loop (in the best way) was Kriek! So ofc I got a pint. We shared a (fairly large) pretzel to start, which comes with beer cheese. Tasty, but I was genuinely shocked there was no mustard. I ordered the jagerschnitzel (pork) and just overall the meal was as expected as if I was in the Midwest - amazing, delicious, insert chef's kiss. I wish I could have joined the clean plate club. The cucumber salad was flavorful and not too sour/pickley. My friend and I both noted how umami the savory sauce was- not too bacon, not too mushroom. The potatoes were not too salty or under-seasoned. Literally willing to drive up again if/when someone tells me to go. It wasn't horribly busy so it didn't take forever to order and get everything we needed. Our server was super nice and patient. She even gave a bar suggestion that ended up being a nice cherry for the top of the evening.

I was surprised that they only had three of their own brews on tap (there went the 5th star) but there was a large selection of craft brews and our choices were very good. I got the house bratwurst with kraut and it was excellent! Tastiest brat I've had in years. The side of fries was also great - crispy with a light batter coating. There are a lot of pinball machines and signs for tournaments so it probably gets loud in the evenings. I'll certainly be back for lunch.

There's a genuine, laid-back energy here that you just can't fake, and it makes every visit feel like you're hanging out with friends rather than just grabbing a beer. A huge part of that comes from the people. Tiffany, the owner, has clearly built something special here--there's intention behind everything, and it shows. Deidra behind the bar is always attentive, on top of it, and great to talk to--she makes you feel taken care of without ever being over the top. And then there's Kyle...absolute character in the best way. The kind of bartender that brings personality to the place and makes every visit a little more memorable. The beer lineup is outstanding. Their in-house brews are dialed in, and if you know craft beer, you'll appreciate seeing things like Drekker sours on the guest tap list--hard to find and always a hit. And their Trick of the Light IPA from Throne? Absolute standout--crisp, balanced, and dangerously easy to keep going back for another. The food deserves just as much attention. The burgers are legit--juicy, flavorful, and cooked right every time. The sliders are perfect if you want to mix and match or just not commit to one thing, and the onion rings are next level--crispy, golden, and honestly some of the best you'll find anywhere. What really sets this place apart, though, is how unique it is to the area. It's not just another brewery--it's a true community spot. Places like this are rare, and they only stick around if people show up and support them. If you appreciate great beer, great food, and even better people, this is one of those spots you want to keep coming back to.
