I've been there twice now…read more First night (Saturday) there was very loud, derogatory rap music playing. Families with kids eat there, they should not have to hear stuff like that. It was very hard to communicate with the server due to the noise. The actual menu is a lot smaller then what is shown on their website. Especially fish options. I had grouper tenders which were small and mostly breading. Not worth it. Fries were excellent. Tartar sauce appeared to be pure mayo, no sign of relish or lemon at all. Ketchup, mustard, and salt were the only condiments on the table, not sure if anything else was available, like cider vinegar or even pepper. It's a pub, you would think all that stuff to be automatic. Second night (9 pm Sunday) I tried to go elsewhere because of my previous night's experience, but not many other options. Most of Alma was already closed. Tonight there was no music playing, so I was able to have a conversation. I had the olive burger with steak fries, my son had boneless wings with Thai sauce and waffle fries. Everything was very good, and a good value for the money. I guess I need a third night to be a tie-breaker.

Really liked the jalapeno/onion strips and battered green beans. Delicious olive burger and waffle fries. If you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy a meal, want a taste of pre 2020 service, this is a great bet. This industry continues to be plagued with labor shortages and I don't envy them one bit but it sure is refreshing to hit those high notes during these difficult times while enjoying a good meal and supporting a small business. Not sure what the bright orange colors have to do with Bigfoot, but I liked it. This is an order and pay at the counter and they'll call you when it is ready. This is not fast food, everything is cooked to order. I ordered a Yeehaw Burger ($18). This is a 1/2lb Bigfoot Blend Burger, Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Crispy onion, KC Style BBQ Sauce on a Brioche Bun. The meat is a blend of Brisket, Bacon, and ground chuck. The blend itself is excellent. I could definitely taste the brisket in the blend. The burger itself as a whole was very good, it just missed in one regard. The bbq sauce was not to my liking. They have a lot of options to choose from though. The fries that come with it are very good, nice and crunchy. The service was friendly and efficient. Overall a very solid 4 star review. Would I return? Yes, while it's not going to crack my top 5 in the area, it is a very good burger spot and I highly recommend a stop.

Ryan's is where you go when your crowd is too big for the your hole-in-the-wall hometown dive bar or when you're feeling fancy. It is a large space with bar and table seating. Depending on where you enter, you might have to go around the bar to find the host, just keep going. You'll find the seating. If you're in need of a banquet (up to maybe around 100 people?), they also have a well-appointed basement that you can rent, and they will cater your event. Back to the standard bar-restaurant area, they now have digital menus which work well, and they will teach you how to use them. There are specials on the landing page, and then sections for burgers, sandwiches, meals, etc. A wait person will still take your order and handle substitutions, requests, and recommendations. Service is solid, and the food is good. The menu is a bit too broad for it to be great food, but they do a wide variety of things surprisingly well, so you're safe ordering almost anything, though I would question the salad bar, not from Ryan's perspectives, but the guests. Cheers.

They accommodated us quickly and we were seated within 5 min without a reservation. Servers were attentive, helpful and friendly. The menu is large and varied and the prices moderate. The Ruben, a house special, was recommended and I ordered it. When it arrived I almost lost my mind, it was huge and delicious! Easily enough for two. Everyone in the party also really enjoyed their choices as well. Cocktails were on point. The one outstanding surprise was it had a bowling alley attached, but the noise from bowling was not discernable and what a cool thing to do perhaps during a winter visit. We will defiantly be back and I strongly recommended it even if it is a fair drive in from the expressway. Worth it.

I chose River House Grill this trip since it was a beautiful night, and on the water. While getting off the interstate and heading in to town, I noticed this eerie presence, nothing was open, signs were dark, stop lights not working... I got to River House and a few regulars were still milling around the bar, I was told they were closed due to a power outage throughout the entire city. After some conversation, they said if I had cash, I could still buy a beer (always carry cash!). The regulars moved on, and I was finishing my drink when the power comes back on! The owner Mike had already sent most of his staff home, as the estimated power restoration was well beyond their normal operating hours, but he said he would turn the fryers back on, and start the pizza oven since I was there. I told him he didn't have to and I would head back to East Lansing, but he insisted, at this point I was the only one in the place! Ordered a pizza, and boy was it delish! By the time my pizza had arrived, a few others had managed to come in and fill up the place! Thanks to Mike, Jen (bartender) and the staff who stayed!
