There are loads of samples, which is so inspiring. And then there are the ladies who work there...absolutely fantastic!! My friend and I found a sample quilt that we fell in love with. There was not a kit for that particular quilt, but the ladies cut one for us while we shopped around the store. They were gracious and fun to visit with. Maps took me what I guess was "close enough," but I was in the middle of the road. Looking around I saw a quilt flapping in the breeze. SMART! I was in the shop a few weeks ago with an entire tribe of family while visiting for a funeral. I brought a quilt top with me that I had just finished. It is108" x 95" so I needed 10 yards+-. When we (all adults)came thru the door we were not sure they were even open because not a single one of us were greeted. After we wondered our way thru to the back of the store we realized there was in fact someone at the cutting counter, she never looked up from her cutting tasks. After we found a couple of options we inquired if there were any additional bolts in stock so that we could get our 10 yds, without hesitation, the answer was a hard NO. At that time, a colleague apeared from the office and reinforced the NO. I then inquired about ordering a bolt and I'm not sure I was even answered. I was so disappointed because they had such a wonderful selection. After leaving, we all collectively agreed that the customer service was one of the worst any of us had experienced and were glad that our money was not spent there. I'm guessing the shop does the majority of their business thru mail orders and get very little walk in business so customer service or interaction is just something they don't feel at all interested in. I hope this was just a situation of it being a bad day for the 2 ladies that were there and they normally find themselves to be friendlier, kinder and more helpful. Unfortunately a brick and mortar store will lose a sale.

Whenever I visit Runs With Scissors or attend one of their classes, I feel welcomed and comfortable. The atmosphere has always been upbeat, healthy, and welcoming. I was in the store last Tuesday 3/29/2022. I was not looking for anything specific, just love…read morequilting. While I was in the store I met Josh, he was loading a quilt on the long arm. I purchased a long arm 1.5 years ago and have been terrified. Josh spent at least an hour talking to me and sharing some tip and tricks. Well this weekend, I came home and fired up that machine. I quilted a lap size quilt that has been loaded on the machine as long as I have had it. It didn't turn out bad for my first attempt. I can't wait to get another top constructed so I can practice some more. Josh, your customer service was amazing and you were so generous with your time and knowledge. Thank you! I will be back.
