My son is taking an interest in sewing. We can hear on a whim to check out fabric remnants. We were created by very knowledgeable staff who were also super friendly. The selection of quality fabrics is great. They specialize in quilting but have other items too. The cost is par for fabric coupled with the wonderful staff makes it a wonderful find. read more

DELIGHTFUL! I have been meaning to come here for a long time, and finally made it in! What a beautiful store! It's in a brand new shopping center at the corner of Marconi and Fulton. It's around in the back, and there is a parking lot back there too. Easy to access and park. The store has gorgeous high ceilings and is bright and clean. Lots of windows and just a really happy feeling. All the employees were very friendly to me. I am not a quilter but use fabric for other crafts. This is a first class quilt store. On trend, gorgeous, modern fabrics. I wish I quilted! They also have a classroom. They have a rewards program. There is a small embroidery section too. I bought some gingham fabrics and some GORGEOUS hand dyed wool felt. I will be back. If you sew/quilt/craft you need to check it out! read more

I live in Roseville and we have no quilt shops. I am thrilled to have found FABRIC GARDEN.. I was greeted upon entrance to the store. The sales person did approach me and walk with me a bit while I looked. In no way was it threatening. I appreciated the help. My intention was to only look at all the beautiful fabrics and patterns, but once I got there, I had to buy. the staff was so helpful in helping me select coordinating fabrics and a pattern. There was no pressure to buy unnecessary items. I definitely give it 5 stars and will return again for another fun shopping trip. read more

I Went into this shop today to purchase quilting fabric. I felt like I was being followed and rushed. The woman working asked me 3 times if I was ready to check out. I had already told her after the first time that I liked to look at everything before making a decision. I feel like I was being racially profiled. I am Hispanic. This was my second time coming into this shop. The first time I felt uncomfortable also but I thought maybe it was just that person. But no, I was treated the same again! They have beautiful fabrics , but they need to be more aware of their treatment of shoppers! I will spend my money at more appreciative Quilt stores. read more

I took up quilting during the pandemic shutdown. I was so happy to have discovered this store when my preferred store on Micron closed. Each time I have gone, however, I've been made to feel so uncomfortable, being watched and followed, I have decided I will drive to Rancho instead of the few miles to drive to this store. Great variety of fabrics from civil war reprints to modern & current. I hardly ever come in here and leave without something. Having fat quarters already cut is great, as well as a wonderful remnant selection. Shop is bright and airy with wonderful quilts on display for inspiration. read more

Unbelievably rude and disappointing experience. Went into the store with my wife and mother-in-law (who is a competitive quilter). "Jill" followed the two of them around the store, watching their every move, like she expected them to steal something. They both happen to be Latina. Meanwhile, my father-in-law and I walked all the way to the back room of the store and sat down unsupervised (we're both white). I hate to chalk this up to racial profiling, but I could not identify any other reason. It was insulting and unnecessary. It was also stupid- we would've spent a fortune in there. read more

Very nice quilt shop. They stock lots of pretty fabrics, a great selection if Creative Grids rulers, patterns, thread, notions, etc. I haven't taken a class here yet, but the classroom area looks quite inviting. Definitely worth checking out if you are looking for cottons. I think they also carry embroidery supplies such as wool felt. They couldn't be friendlier. We need to support our local quilt shops or there will be nothing left but JoAnn's. read more

I absolutely love this store! The people who work there are open, friendly and ready to help when needed. Patrons always receive a kind welcome with an offer of assistance, but with no pressure to buy (quilters love to browse). I've taken many classes at the shop and enjoy learning new techniques as much as I do visiting with other quilters and stitchers in some of the numerous clubs. There is always an enticing variety of classes and projects scheduled to keep everyone busy - so many, that I can't keep up! The fabric selection is plentiful and varied. I really like this store. It feels more modern than most quilting stores in the Sacramento area, and I love the airy feel inside. The ceilings are high, giving it a very open feeling, and light streams in through the windows. There are quilts hanging on the walls, and lots of modern fabric lines. I saw a lot of moda, as well as other brands i recognized from instagram and online quilt blogs I follow. The ladies working were really nice and helpful. I especially liked that the fabrics were not organized by color. I think that makes a display look so....sterile. Honestly I'm not sure how they are organized, but it worked out just fine for me. Classes are held in the back, and separated from the store by a wall so there is privacy for both shoppers and students. Prices are average for the area, about $10-$12/yard. This is a quilting store, so fabrics are all cotton. There were some flannels from moda in the back, and some quilt and bag patterns as well. I visited 4 Sacramento quilting stores last weekend and I think this is my favorite. read more
