Dear Friends, I…read moredream for the day where home economics is offered once again in school. I would have loved learning basic skills from a structured environment. Until then, you will find me taking all kinds of classes to feel the void that I missed from that class. I recently visited @mybestfriendssewingroom in Augusta, Georgia. My goal was to learn the basics of using a sewing machine. While anxiety ridden about using their equipment, as I'm quite clumsy, the instructors eased my shaky hands and by the end I felt confident enough to take another class. Side note: I'll probably take the beginner class one more time so I can focus on my speed as seen in the video. My Best Friend's Sewing Room LLC offers a variety of classes from beginner to advanced. They're classes are great for the young and old. If you have mini me's check out their summer camps or take a class with your mini. Group Suggestions: Have one person book your spots or agree to all book at the same time. The classes are limited and you want to be sure to get a seat in the class. If you own a machine but haven't used it previously, I strongly suggest requesting to use a loaner machine. I would bring my machine for advice and to Mande sure all the parts are there. Solo Suggestions: Prepare to make new friends as it is a close setting and crafty people are immediate friends. If you own a machine but haven't used it previously, I strongly suggest requesting to use a loaner machine. I would bring my machine for advice and to make sure all the parts are there.

SOAP ENDEAVORS Fun…read moreclass Informative instructor Walk away w/ 3 bars and beginner kit ... HIGHLY RECOMMEND LINDSEY's CLASSES The class is held at her condo-turned-into-Soap-lab in a highrise downtown Long Beach near the beach. Lindsey provides snacks, drinks, handout, materials, and protective gear. We talked about soap, saponification, ingredients, and do hands on with making out cold press soap. We leave with 3 bars of soap still in it's mold (takes two weeks to cure). What I've taken away from the class... 1) Lindsey showed us the basics, the tip of the iceberg, and we create from there. Let's just say I begun ordering my organic materials when I got home and started looking into formulas and how to tweak them based on what I've learned 3) Lye is used for the chemical reaction for saponification but is not not a direct ingredient within the soap 3) difference between "beauty bar" and real soap (ex: dove is a beauty bar but not a soap) I'll be back soon to take the advance class! Until the next review....

My partner and I took a cold process soap class with her, she was so helpful, patient and most importantly very clear with the teaching. And she answered all our questions. She showed us how to use the soap calculator and the Benefit of each ingredients. Her handouts were full of details with all the information that you need from the online supplies, soap recipes and much more. I highly recommend taking classes with her and we decided to take more classes in the near future. Thank you Lindsay for your care and support. Bertha A.

Tonight, "Parent's Night Out" night 12-15-2018 Hayden's lost a loyal customer. My 8 year old…read moredaughter was not allowed to go to the bathroom. She peed herself because she couldn't hold it any longer. The adult male coach did not let her go, despite her claiming it was an emergency. She tried going on her own, but it was too late. Adding insult to injury the coach punished her for disobeying the order not to go to the bathroom. This is nothing less than bullying by a male adult on an 8 year girl. My daughter spent the rest of the night in wet clothes, because no one called me and she was to scared to tell anyone what happened. Great job Hayden (major sarcasm), she will never come back now. I have reported this to the police.

Hayden's Gym lost a customer today because of their employees' poor customer service. While in the…read moreoffice, during posted hours, with no other customers waiting, for ten minutes, I was passed by no less than six different employees that barely acknowledged my presence and never once asked if I needed help. I did need help, hence the office hours. I would not patronize, for one moment, an organization with such a horrible level of customer service, let alone pay to expose my child to it. As far as the gymnastics instruction, well I can only assume it's as lackadaisical as their interactions with prospective customers. Their bathroom WAS clean, so I might consider Hayden's Gym to fill that need.... but only if it's an emergency.

First time I called I was told to call back and ask for the tech, Frank. I called back later and…read moreasked for him and they refused to let me speak to him and said they would give him the info and they would call me back. After three days, no return call. I called back and told them of my experience and the lady I spoke to that day (Sharon) said she would have Frank call me back. He called and left a message for me to call back, I called back and again the lady that answered tried to refuse for me to talk to him. Finally, they put me through. Frank and I talked, great guy, very willing to help... he and I agreed I would bring my part in for him to see if he could fix it. I brought the part in and again, the lady (the manager) was being difficult that they had to have my machine etc. I told her the agreement Frank and I made (that he would try to fix that particular part and if he could I would then bring in my machine to be serviced). Then the manager told me I would have to pay a $30 deposit. Now why am I paying a deposit when they have my part... of course, I can't get the part back without paying for it. Needless to say I told her I was done with their company and would never use them again. Nothing but a manager and some staff impossible to deal with (rude etc) and asking for deposit when I clearly cannot walk out without paying once repair of part was made. The only two people I spoke to at that company that knew how to deal with customers was Sharon and Frank.
