You do not drive below the speed limit in the left lane for extended periods of time. If your student is nervous, they should be in the right lane at all times except to make a left turn. They wouldn't let her in for her clothes even though they were in dress code, but because her legs were still showing they were upset. They are very sexist when it comes to the dress code and only target the young girls. In class, my daughter would talk about the offensive jokes the instructor would make pertaining to either sexism or racism, and he made her uncomfortable. She also stated that the instructor often made students feel dumb, yelled at students, and even belittled teenagers who were not in the class and mocked them to the students calling them "idiots". They are extremely high and mighty, even though they have a 1.9/5 star review on yelp. It is surprising they haven't received the hint for the past 5+ years.

Also, after further investigation, his Facebook page "Safe Habits School of Driving" is rated at 2.2 Stars out of 5 Stars. There are MULTIPLE posts, not from customers, but other drivers who have witnessed him driving aggressively and dangerously around Augusta. He even followed a young lady and had a video recorder in his hand while yelling at her at a stop light. After reading his response, I hope that all parents will seriously think twice about using this Driving "school" (In quotes because there is no school, he just drives to your house and picks your child up.....). He seems to be an aggressive and angry individual, which doesn't make for a good driver, much less a driving instructor.

My daughter accompanied me in the ambulance to Augusta U Hosp ER that afternoon. CT scans verified the extent of the injury. Sometime around midnight, after many hours of exams and waiting, one of the residents told my daughter I needed to be admitted for surgery the next day. Because she had work, my daughter left and went home at around 1 a.m. She was told she could come back the next day to see me after the surgery. But then at around 4.30 a.m., a tech came in and put a temporary cast on my leg. I was told there were no beds and I was being discharged. "How?" I asked. "I have no transportation. How will I get home on my own?" A nurse got me some crutches, accompanied me out to the waiting room and said, "You can call Uber." Literally, I was left to my own devices. The grumpy late-night Uber driver saw me struggling to navigate on the crutches, but wouldn't budge her position, far away from the doorway of the ER. It was not a great experience. The kicker: I got no callback from the medical center to schedule my surgery or even for a follow-up to see a surgeon. The only way I was seen by calling repeatedly. When finally I met the surgeon, he was outraged that I had not been immediately admitted. The bones did not heal well and now I need an ankle joint replacement. We should be able to expect better from our medical providers.

Additionally, they allow parents of students to be on the board, which leads to academic favoritism. The facilities are run down apart from the new building. They flood regularly because they are built on low ground, and the portables leak. There is a revolving door of teachers, which provides students with no sense of stability. I don't recommend sending your child here.

But, I specifically want to shout out Coach Matt for his swimming instruction. I'm an adult and learned to swim as a child. However, I had some negative experiences with water in later years and wanted to conquer that and learn how to swim laps. Matt has been an amazing teacher; very patient, kind, and explains things in a way that make sense to my brain. It's clear he has a lot of knowledge and his demeanor put me at ease--both to try conquering my apprehensions about swimming and also to ask any question I wanted. I often got to my lessons early and got to see Matt working with other students, both children and adults. It's clear others also appreciate working with him. One mother told me her daughter was afraid to put her head under water before Coach Matt, and we watched as her daughter now leapt into the deep end with a smile on her face! I was only in Augusta for a few months, but if I return, I will definitely be trying to get a few more lessons in with Matt.

One of the guard that look like a Ken barbie doll with his blonde hair was being real petty and a lil racist to me when he kept blowing the whistle at my 10 9 and 8 year old about running which 1 time was true I was there looking right at them but the other 6 7 times he was really being funny and petty because he seen me paying attention to him the whole time. And than he was feeling some type of way because my kids wanted their ball back from a boy who was being a ball hog and not sharing. I feel he had a issue with me n my kids because as I kept looking at him he was staring my daughter them down with a mean mug on his face. My experiences here has really been unsatisfied. I think I'm just going to go with the Family Y and get a membership there. Because the kroc center has been showing me unsatisfied actions and experiences since I became a member there. They need to do better. Also today water was a little okay but majority of the times I went there to swim the water had too much chlorine in it that my eyes were burning everytime water hit my face.
