We reached out to you privately after this review and back in April when the mark appeared, but we feel that a public response is appropriate since you are challenging the integrity of the school's staff in a public forum. We in no way want to diminish your own feelings surrounding the unknown cause of a mark on your child. We know a mother doesn't ever want to think of her child being harmed. We certainly don't want any child to hurt either. A child's well-being is of the utmost importance to the staff and we feel due diligence by the school was taken. Although you declined having a sit-down with the teachers or being seen by a physician, we would still be willing to meet with you any time. We are always looking for ways to better the school so thanks for your feedback.

However, I give this place two stars because my toddler (2 y/o) came home with a hand print on the inside of his tight. I decided to take him out of the school because nobody could explain to me what happened, not even the person responsible for changing his diapers. The fact that there was no explanation to this incident made me doubt the integrity of his teacher. It is unfortunate because I liked the school, but I rather focus on my child's safety.

The program is a wonderful balance of structured group activities and free learning, with an emphasis on creativity and character development. Concepts like the alphabet, seasons, numbers, and days of the week are introduced in a fun, gradual way. The thing that really sets the Beehive apart is the warmth and caring extended by the teachers, parents, and kids. Ms. Ertz and Ms. Chesser genuinely love their work and absolutely pour themselves into what they do. They truly do an incredible job and "bring it" every single day. I have gotten more than a couple parenting tips from watching the expert way they are able to soothe high emotions and create an environment where the kids are motivated to act with kindness and respect. Finally, I would like to say that my daughter is seriously ecstatic about her teachers, friends, and all the activities she does at school. She constantly pretends to be a teacher at home now, and she has learned so much from the other kids (thanks to a lot of gentle teacher guidance) about sharing, kindness, and the joys of being a good friend. I was very happy with the care. When my son turned 4 yrs he was in pre k school at the center. my husband was dropping my son around 730 am before school and I was picking up after care around 4pm. one day my son was telling me that they didn't feed him that he was hungry. Next day I asked the teacher the teacher said that my son came in to her classroom around 2 pm. I told her no that is not true my son was drop off at 7:30am. What happened was they forgot my son in the last room of the school down the hall. where the before school classroom was dropped off. My son was sleeping in the big pillow cushion behind the door when my son woke up no body was there. My son staying in the room waiting for someone come and get him. when I heard what really happened I should sue the day care because that was negligent. I didn't do it the school fired the teacher who was in charge of the before school care and they gave me a 2 weeks free of charge. Still until today regret not sue them. Still bothered me thinking how my son was feeling and when he said he was hungry they didn't feed him.

The teacher and director of Foundations Christian Preschool was unable to provide satisfactory explanations for marks and bruises on him. We asked him why he didn't like it there and he said they hit him, we asked him who and he said his friends hit him every day and that his teacher was mean to him all the time. It was brought to my attention that my four year old grandson was isolated from the rest of the children all the time. This has been going on for months, he was not allowed to eat or participate in some activities with any of the other children, or apparently even nap with them. At nap he was put behind a wall in a corner by himself to sleep. When speaking to the director, she admitted to knowing that he was isolated from the other children and that she knew it was wrong and if we would leave him there that she would work on changing it in the next few weeks. We noticed on the centers Facebook a picture of my grandson was posted of him not being able to participate in a classroom party and was sitting at at table by himself facing the wall with his name on it. When doing more research on this facility not only have there been multiple allegations from parents saying their kids were hit there, but this past year a 5 year old climbed over the fence and was not noticed missing until some people at McDonald's noticed a small child walking in the parking lot alone and reported it. This is not a safe environment for any child. I hope no other child has to go through the mental and physical abuse by these monsters like my grandson did.

Communication has always been very important to me and I love how I am always aware of how my childs day has been. The director is very welcoming and approachable and seems to get to know each and every child, which I love!!! This school has the only International Baccalaureate (IB) program in the area. They have two gifted education providers on staff. They are working on a way to increase parent participation, but isn't every school? Besides some minor technical pieces and parent relations improvement efforts, this school is one of the top schools in the area.
