They roll their eyes at parents and students, talk about parents, teachers, and students behind their backs, lie to the principal when a parent has a problem with them, and are just generally rude. As an example, this morning I tried to take my daughter into school. She was late because she had been throwing up this morning. It was nothing contagious and she was feeling better. Had it been something contagious or serious, I would not have brought her to attend school. The lady in the office: "Well you know she's going to be counted absent today, so..." This was said as though we just shouldn't have bothered showing up at all, since she was going to be counted absent. Note that it's not always something said, but HOW it is said. Me: "Okay." Lady: "Well does she have an excuse?" Me: "Yes, she threw up this morning." Lady: "Well she can't come to school for 24 hours since she threw up." So my daughter and I left. My mom has had a lot of interactions with the women here as well, and called the principal to let her know what happened. Do you know what the ladies in the office told the principal? They told her that when they told me she was going to be counted as absent, I turned around and left. That is a bold-faced LIE. I didn't leave because they told me she was going to be counted absent- I left because they told me she couldn't BE there! Her being counted as absent or not is not the most important thing- it's getting to her classes. I attended Lakeside High School, and the women in that office way back then were all stuck-up and rude too. I see nothing in this area has changed.

My other son has conversations with us regarding academics, spirituality and real life choices. The teachers invest their hearts and knowledge into all of the student body. At the end of the year, the teachers presented on each student, they truly know built good relationships with each student. As a parent, I would recommend WSA to any college bound student.

Additionally, they allow parents of students to be on the board, which leads to academic favoritism. The facilities are run down apart from the new building. They flood regularly because they are built on low ground, and the portables leak. There is a revolving door of teachers, which provides students with no sense of stability. I don't recommend sending your child here.

I think there were also vending machines, but I'm not 100 percent sure. The parking is vast. I decided to check out mathnasium for him to maintain and get ahead in math. The director explained the program in detail and made it easy to understand. You play a monthly fee and can attend as many times a week for an hour(more time is given to middle/high school students). He is currently enrolled in the 6 month program. Will update my review after the six months are up to see if we could see any improvement.

It's the first time I've "cared" about school since the 3rd grade. The teachers here care about you, and with the small class sizes you really get a chance to know them and form meaningful relationships. The classes are quick--8 weeks--and you're able to knock it out at an extremely convenient but comfortable speed. And the club opportunities are terrific. Our debate team went to Chicago. It was crazy. The school's extremely affordable as it is, but on top of the already low cost, your books are free. If you're interested in starting college for the first time or coming back to try again, I implore you to do it at GMC.

We reached out to you privately after this review and back in April when the mark appeared, but we feel that a public response is appropriate since you are challenging the integrity of the school's staff in a public forum. We in no way want to diminish your own feelings surrounding the unknown cause of a mark on your child. We know a mother doesn't ever want to think of her child being harmed. We certainly don't want any child to hurt either. A child's well-being is of the utmost importance to the staff and we feel due diligence by the school was taken. Although you declined having a sit-down with the teachers or being seen by a physician, we would still be willing to meet with you any time. The mission statement is really good for this school. This is an actual open door school. All…read moreteachers are approachable and courteous. However, I give this place two stars because my toddler (2 y/o) came home with a hand print on the inside of his tight. I decided to take him out of the school because nobody could explain to me what happened, not even the person responsible for changing his diapers. The fact that there was no explanation to this incident made me doubt the integrity of his teacher. It is unfortunate because I liked the school, but I rather focus on my child's safety.
