We reached out to you privately after this review and back in April when the mark appeared, but we feel that a public response is appropriate since you are challenging the integrity of the school's staff in a public forum. We in no way want to diminish your own feelings surrounding the unknown cause of a mark on your child. We know a mother doesn't ever want to think of her child being harmed. We certainly don't want any child to hurt either. A child's well-being is of the utmost importance to the staff and we feel due diligence by the school was taken. Although you declined having a sit-down with the teachers or being seen by a physician, we would still be willing to meet with you any time. We are always looking for ways to better the school so thanks for your feedback.

However, I give this place two stars because my toddler (2 y/o) came home with a hand print on the inside of his tight. I decided to take him out of the school because nobody could explain to me what happened, not even the person responsible for changing his diapers. The fact that there was no explanation to this incident made me doubt the integrity of his teacher. It is unfortunate because I liked the school, but I rather focus on my child's safety.

My son attended this school all of two weeks before I had to pull him out of the school. The…read moreassistant director wanted to hide that there is a troubled two year old who is abusing not only the staff but the students as well. My son was TERRIFIED, he cried every morning I dropped him off and called the little boy by his name saying he was scared of him. One morning I stayed to comfort my son and I witnessed the little boy stuff himself into the shelf, he bit a girl in their class, smacked another little boy, kept taking a little girls food, and fought the teacher. The assistant director was very aware of his actions yet she chose to down play this child's behavior. Seeing that the issues at was not being addressed I told my 3year old son to defend hisself by hitting back. Then that became a problem, so yes I pulled him from the program. The teachers are all quitting away because of that child and the management staff so I wouldn't recommend that place to anyone. Parents check on y'all kids because I was paying 95 dollars a week for my child to get bullied.

My daughter has been very well taken care of at north augusta sunshine house since she was 6 weeks…read moreold. She is 2 now and has loved her time in each classroom she has been in so far which includes the infant room (6 wk - 1 yr), toddler room (1-2 yr), and now explorers room (2-3 yr). Everyday I drop her off she is greeted with a big hug from a smiling caregiver. I was hesitant at first trusting people I barely know to care for my child all day, but I quickly learned to trust them and feel comfortable leaving her in their care because from early on as an infant i saw the big smile on my baby's face when she entered the room and hugged her teachers each morning. I know that even though she couldn't actually communicate to me in words her body language shows that she is happy to see them and therefore I know she is well taken care of. I truly believe the teachers and school director treat her with as much love they would provide to their own child. She often comes home with new milestones, skills, and words and I'm truly amazed at how much she learns during her time there. I will soon be happy to enroll my second daughter and am confident she will receive all the love and care that she needs while I'm working during the day. We understood the process required their current legal names to be on any paperwork but what we did not understand is why the staff continued to be rude and insensitive. This was just one of the issues. The staff continued to address my children not by the names we called them but by the names they came to us as. A staff member even ran up to me and had an audible discussion about why we chose to change our daughter's name because her current legal name was so pretty. IN FRONT OF MY SUPER SMART DAUGHTER. This same staff member also addressed my son by his current legal name and not what we called him after he refused to pay her any attention. I cannot tell you how livid i was in the short time we were there. I feel this center has no respect for the process some families go through even though the director stated that so many families come through that center with the same situation. Our second issue is the changing of teachers and them not communicating. My daughter is potty trained and has been for a while. She has a routine in which we stated to the teachers that she needs to be reminded to potty before any nap-time to avoid accidents. FOR A WEEK STRAIGHT my daughter was having accidents because the morning teacher was not being given the information to assist my daughter with consistency. NOT TO MENTION the teachers just took it upon themselves to place my daughter back into a pull up instead of doing what needed to be done to avoid any accidents. Needless to say, Kim is great but overall - this was a horrible experience for my husband and I. Not worth the switch from our other daycare.

My child flourished at Tabernacle CDC. She started in the 1 year old room and attended through the…read more4 year old room before transitioning to an elementary school. She learned to walk here. She's was potty trained here. She was always LOVED to be her best self. Ms. MaryAnne and Mrs. Shanteka LOVE the kids so much. This is also an excellent learning facility. They also have super fun activities and mid and end of the year programs to showcase what the children have learned. In the days of Mr. Mike, he would bring in birds and other animals for the children to learn about. Mrs. Alana taught the kids structure and fundamental early learning things. My child learned to read and write in her room. I also appreciate the utilization of the nearby library. This is an excellent facility. I would argue one of the best kept secrets in Augusta. It's also affordable.
