They roll their eyes at parents and students, talk about parents, teachers, and students behind their backs, lie to the principal when a parent has a problem with them, and are just generally rude. As an example, this morning I tried to take my daughter into school. She was late because she had been throwing up this morning. It was nothing contagious and she was feeling better. Had it been something contagious or serious, I would not have brought her to attend school. The lady in the office: "Well you know she's going to be counted absent today, so..." This was said as though we just shouldn't have bothered showing up at all, since she was going to be counted absent. Note that it's not always something said, but HOW it is said. Me: "Okay." Lady: "Well does she have an excuse?" Me: "Yes, she threw up this morning." Lady: "Well she can't come to school for 24 hours since she threw up." So my daughter and I left. My mom has had a lot of interactions with the women here as well, and called the principal to let her know what happened. Do you know what the ladies in the office told the principal? They told her that when they told me she was going to be counted as absent, I turned around and left. That is a bold-faced LIE. I didn't leave because they told me she was going to be counted absent- I left because they told me she couldn't BE there! Her being counted as absent or not is not the most important thing- it's getting to her classes. I attended Lakeside High School, and the women in that office way back then were all stuck-up and rude too. I see nothing in this area has changed.

My other son has conversations with us regarding academics, spirituality and real life choices. The teachers invest their hearts and knowledge into all of the student body. At the end of the year, the teachers presented on each student, they truly know built good relationships with each student. As a parent, I would recommend WSA to any college bound student.

I think there were also vending machines, but I'm not 100 percent sure. The parking is vast. Additionally, they allow parents of students to be on the board, which leads to academic favoritism. The facilities are run down apart from the new building. They flood regularly because they are built on low ground, and the portables leak. There is a revolving door of teachers, which provides students with no sense of stability. I don't recommend sending your child here.
