I was mid move and had my pods already loaded when I broke my ankle and had to be out of my current house. I was able to call up August Movers and coordinate the day my pods were arriving at the new house and the day they could unload them. They were super flexible and super nice. All I could do was sit in a chair and watch them carry my stuff in for me. They separated it all out room by room as instructed. They were very organized, took credit cards, super professional. I will always recommend them in the future. And extremely fast and very reasonably priced. read more

Ok, these guys were downright awesome. They really saved my skin on a pinch since the following day was going to rain and I had a treadmill delivery sitting outside. They were fast and efficient, very affordable, and super nice. 10/10 would hire again. read more

We have used August Movers three separate times and each time was a pleasure. They were punctual, had great attitudes, moved quickly and never stopped to take any excessive breaks. They packed the truck efficiently and even helped lead some of the activities (at our request) to ensure we got done as quickly as possible. In the most recent move, they even helped pack because it needed to be done. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

Hire them! Seriously, if you want nice, conscientious, capable and affordable movers, these are your people. I've made the mistake of hiring rando-craigslist movers before and got smart this time and read some reviews before hiring. August Movers totally earned 5 stars. Randall and team -- thank you for being responsive, super hard working and super cautious with my belongings and house. Moving is stressful enough, and not having to worry about movers caring for your stuff like you would is serious peace of mind. Thank you! read more

Randall at August Movers was awesome! He came hefted my giant furniture like it was nothing and made sure it would be safe in the truck to move to Seattle. The rate was fantastic and I was more than happy with their job. If I had had to move everything myself it would have taken all day, but they emptied my apartment in less than two hours! I highly recommend that you hire them for your move. I am a little sad we are moving out of state and won't be able to hire them for future moves. read more

We have used August Movers several times and have always been completely happy and satisfied with their service, communication and rates. They have been professional, pleasant, efficient and easy to work with. Highly recommend and we'll use them again. read more

Exemplary service. Randall and Jay worked hard from the moment they showed up. Barely stopped for a drink of water! They moved furniture within my home as we are getting it ready for sale (i.e., "staging"). They knew their stuff - how to move heavy pieces up & down stairs without banging into the walls, etc. Once our home sells, I will def call them to pack the moving van!!! You won't be disappointed! read more

We were 1.5 months into a very significant move that was only 10 blocks from our current home. BUT We were cutting our living space by more than 50%. This meant a lot of stuff had to be moved, some went to storage and a lot was divested. At this point the joy of downsizing had worn off and we just wanted it done. That's when August movers came in, Amy and Marcus. They were amazing. Amy led the charge and had the 17ft uhaul loaded up several times with separate destinations or with interim trips between the new house, old house and storage unit. Truly impressive and at the same time- affordable! They were nice, polite and incredible to work with on our move. read more

We've hired Randal and is his (small) crew for probably a half-dozen moves all around the Portland area over the past 6 or 7 years, which pretty much tells you what you need to know. August Movers are timely, professional, caring with your stuff, ungodly strong, and friendly, all at a great value. Highly recommended. read more

These people are the best! Friendly, efficient, accommodating, speedy! Everything you want from movers. They alleviate so much stress about moving. Even in a pinch they were able to work with me and were happy to make my schedule work. I have used other movers in the area who were so nice and really great, but they just weren't August Movers! Never disappointed with their work! read more

Amy and company were outstanding. This was our first time hiring movers. They loaded out 26 foot uhaul in 2.5 hours and packed it perfectly. We got to our destination 4 hours away and there was not a scratch on anything, they treated our belongings like it was their own. I would hire them again without hesitation. Five stars does not do justice! read more

August Movers were great! They showed up on time, and quickly hefted all of my stuff up three flights of stairs in the heat. I'm convinced that Amy is Wonder Woman. I would definitely recommend their services, they're good and honest movers, offered to help set up furniture, and at a very reasonable price! read more

This was the smoothest moving experience I've ever had! Randall was easy to communicate with and very flexible in planning the move. They showed up on time with moving supplies and were super friendly and gentle with our stuff the whole way. I saved a lot of money even after factoring in the UHaul rental. Would definitely hire them again and recommend them to anyone! read more

I would recommend August Movers to anyone who is moving! They were very affordable and don't charge for travel time, which is rare. They were very efficient, punctual and just genuine people. Thank you for taking such good care of our stuff! read more

We moved over the weekend and August Movers helped us out. Nice guys. They worked hard and charged a reasonable rate. I'd happily use their services if moving again in the future. read more

I've never used movers for an across-town move, but I will ALWAYS use August Movers from now on. Not only were they fast and efficient, but Amy and Randall are two of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Who has ever said that moving is a joy? I think you'll hate it a whole lot less if you hire these guys. read more

I moved from san diego to portland. August movers helped me to unload the truck in Portland. I really recommend them. I initially scheduled with them to come on Saturday at 3:00pm but then 1 day before I called and I asked to move it to the morning. They had another move scheduled for the morning but after I told them that this is very important for me, they called the other client and he agreed that they will be late a little bit so they came in the morning as I asked. They arrived right on time. They unloaded the entire truck in about an hour. They was very careful with all my stuff. Everything was done with a smile. We had an issue moving into the apartment a big sofa since it didn't fit the elevator and also not the stairs, but they didn't give up and they disassembled it and assembled it back in the apartment. Bottom line, they did a great job. read more

August Movers are incredible. The best customer service ever.... They showed up on time and immediately started to work . . . They were efficient and professional in all aspects of our move, plus they consistently go above and beyond. They packed the truck very well, handling all of our furniture, boxes, and wall hangings with care, and wrapping everything that needed it well. This is the 3rd time that our friends and family have used them, and we will again in September when our new home is completed . . . read more

We had a great experience and highly recommend August movers! Great communication, reasonably priced, quick and hard working team! Thank you so much for helping us move into our new home! We would use this company again in a heart beat! read more

I booked August Movers for a load and unload. I hade to load from two different locations. And unload with an icy parking lot and a second story unit. Randall and Marcus were incredible!! They were fast and completely worked their asses off! Randall even broke up and moved some of the ice to make the unloading safer. They were very courteous and placed my belongings where I asked them. The cost was well worth their time. I would recommend them without reservation and will definitely use them if I move again!! Thank you!! read more

WOW really sums it all up. These guys are punctual, fast, super nice, and very careful. They made my move so easy. I'd give them a 10 on here if I could. I will recommend them to everybody. read more

They arrived promptly at the time agreed and got right to work. This was no easy move, and Randall & Amy just powered through it in record time. Very professional and courteous, VERY respectful of us and our belongings. Extremely reasonable rates and exceptional service. HIGHLY recommended. read more

Taylor and Amy are awesome! I booked them for a 2 hour job and they graciously stayed an extra 2 hours to ensure our 26' Penske truck was completely packed in time for our cross country move. They did an amazing job and were able to get everything into our truck - it was like an enormous game of Tetris. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I'd give 10 stars if I was able. Thanks again, Taylor and Amy! read more

I have used August Movers for three moves and they consistently do an outstanding job. Each time, they have been prompt at getting back to me, professional, reliable, affordable, FAST, and very careful with my things... even after a cross country move none of my belongings were damaged. I should add that they sure do know how to pack a POD! As a bonus, the owners are awesome people. If you need movers, look no further. You won't be disappointed. read more

This company is the best you will find. They are professional, friendly, and go above and beyond to help. I needed to have all my furniture moved out of my house so that the hardwood floors could be redone. Luckily, I have some garage space so all I needed was HELP to move it all out. I called several companies; all with high ratings but none of them could match the friendliness and care of August Movers. The job was done with care for each item and respect for how I wanted it to be done. They work with integrity and don't promise what they can't deliver. On top of it all, they don't gauge you with additional charges for this, that and the other thing. Of course, I also called them to move it all back in when the time came. They worked me in on short notice and even helped me put sticky pads on the furniture so it wouldn't scratch the new floors. Call August Movers first - you'll be glad you did. read more

August Movers were kind, fast, efficient, careful, and every other adjective I could come up with to explain an awesome moving company. We had to pack up a 20' truck twice - once for the home to which we were temporarily moving, and once to storage. It was a LOT of stuff, including a pool table and a piano. They got it all done within an afternoon and didn't waste a second. They're clearly not out to delay for the sake of charging for more time. In a couple months when we close on our new house, we'll be contacting them again! I highly recommend. My only complaint: Contacting and communicating with them is a little challenging. Because they're a small, locally owned business, they don't employ any reception or scheduling or the like -- and they're BUSY. For that reason, it's hard to catch them. Text message is more reliable, but sometimes important nuances are missed. Don't let that deter you from using their service though, just be prepared make sure that everyone is on the same page. read more

August moved us in to our new house back in June. Professional, punctual, fast and friendly. Couldn't ask for more. I've used multiple moving services over the years, and August is the best by far. read more

We had a perfectly smooth move thanks to Amy and Randall. Delightful people who hustle their butts off. They bring pads, dolly, moving blankets to insure every item is protected. We highly recommend them! Thanks guys! read more

I'm not shocked of their fantastic reviews. We used August last June and they were better than awesome. They were professionals through and through. If every company worked this way, there would be no Yelp. read more

I needed help unloading a 12-foot rental truck. All the items needed to be carried up two flights of stairs. Amy and Randall were prompt, friendly and fast. Not to mention, they took great care of my things. I couldn't believe how quickly they got my stuff up the stairs, despite the fact that I had some very heavy items. And they did it all with a smile to boot. Afterwards they chatted for a bit and welcomed me to the neighborhood. Indeed, it felt as though my neighbors had come over to help me unload. I highly recommend August Movers. read more

Just wrapped up a move using August Movers and I'd have to say that it was possibly the best overall move experience I've ever had. They were very careful with my big furniture pieces and we thoughtful about where to place items, what went where, etc. Good communicators, friendly, smart, and reasonably priced. I'll have to move again in a year and I won't be looking any further than this crew. Thanks again for the help! read more

August Movers is the picture of professionalism, hard work, and exceptional value. They are strong, thoughtful and careful, and full-service. They are patient and helpful, and have a lot of experience and expertise. I have used them twice and they were awesome both times. Price is more than reasonable. Highly recommend for all kinds of jobs. It is also very cool to see a female mover. She is every bit as strong and fast as the males, and often stronger and faster. read more

When it came time to move this time, I remembered how great they were the last time. I contacted Randall and basically said, 'you tell me when you are available and that's the day I'll move; I'm not even getting any other quotes. It's August or bust.' And sure enough, they were fantastic, so darn nice, careful, thoughtful, strong, etc etc. read more

Used August Movers last weekend to move from one Portland neighborhood to another. Randall, the owner, and Taylor arrived promptly and worked for 5 hours straight no break filling out UHaul and unloading it on the other end. They arrived promptly and I feel they treated our belongings well without damaging them. I'd use them again. (Note: you do need to provide the truck.) read more

Forgive me if I gush, but... I moved to Hillsboro from Colorado 14 months ago and engaged August Movers for unloading help over the internet. They had a completely stuffed 22' truck unloaded in an hour and a half. In addition, they read the notes on the boxes putting everything in the correct rooms and worked to get the dining room rug centered perfectly under the light. Two days ago, it was time to move again. I knew they could unload. Amy and Randall are loading geniuses, too - I was amazed when they fit more into the same 22' truck than I arrived with. Not only do they work harder than any other movers I've hired, took no breaks and refused to let me buy them lunch, everything arrived in perfect condition. I can't imagine using anyone else - August Movers has my complete trust and highest recommendation. read more

We hired Amy and Jerimiah for our in-town move. They are very professional and efficient, with lovely smiles all through those three hours. They took very good care of our furniture too. Highly recommend them to everybody. read more

I needed to move a few big pieces of furniture from the garage of my townhouse to its living quarters upstairs. Since this was an in-house move, I did not need any trucking service. All I needed was a crew of weight-lifters for hire. August Movers delivered exactly that. They showed up right on time, followed all my instructions about being extremely careful with the furniture and the interior walls & floors (the place had been renovated recently), and completed the work even sooner than I expected. They charge for 2 hours minimum, but I was happy to pay the price even though the entire move was done in only 1 hr 15 min. These guys are honest, reliable, careful, and affordable. This seems to be a small family-like low-maintenance business, yet delivering high-quality service. 5+ stars! read more
