A messy place for simple things. Went for an oil change because I found some coupons online. The…read moregreeter wasn't sure which oil my car needs and asked someone else and they said only the 2 expensive ones can do. During the oil change, they asked if I wanted to pay them $10 to clean corrosion off my battery, after I declined, they said my battery was bad and need $200+ for replacement. They showed me a battery test receipt with 77% battery health and said they will put that I declined on their record. I have prorated battery warranty at another place, so I'll go check the battery out there. They also didn't replace my oil filter because they said it looked new but asked me to change my cabin air filter for $60. Their sticker on my windshield is also showing plate numbers of another car, so not sure my address and phone number etc that they took went to the right record. My warning light also came on the same afternoon, so I'll have to go figure out what that is about, probably at another place too. The upside is that it was quick for the oil change, took about 15 minutes.

I've said it before about this place it is one of the few shops that actually make me feel good after spending $1k+ lol. While talking to them I had them give me a quote for doing a heater/evap core on the same vehicle anybody who knows how labor intensive that is knows it is no small job. They quoted me a little over $2k and I know they will do a great job on that as well whenever I bring it back in and they will get another great review. Jose is a golden human being. He is a master of his craft, has good customer service, and is fair…read morewith his pricing. He takes the time to properly troubleshoot and find the root cause of the problem. I took my 01 F250 to him with major transmission problems, and an intermittent electrical issue. He rebuilt the transmission within a few days, and we put heavy duty parts such as a torque converter and shift kit so it would be more equipped to pulling oversized loads. He also replaced the radiator which was full of metal shavings from the bad transmission Other shops told me my transmission was just fine, and it just needed an aftermarket cooler, which is why it was overheating. Also, I took it to 3 different shops who couldn't find the source of my intermittent electrical issues. Once the transmission was rebuilt, upon programming, he found the source of the breakdown, which was a faulty ECM which caused it not to shift properly and drastically overheat. We sent the ECM to a place to get repaired and he installed and programmed my truck to get it back on the road. Jose communicated the whole process, and did high quality work. He is the only mechanic that I have found to trust, and I wish there were more like him.

Oh man, especially Jose, the owner. Amazingly great and understanding guy! And he knows his stuff without a second thought. I came to Texas from Louisiana on an evacuation order due to Hurricane Ida. It's 100 degrees outside and my a/c goes KAPUT! An entire 8 hour drive in this sweltering heat with no a/c. When I made it to Texas I decided to take my vehicle to a neighborhood Christian Brothers. They were nice people but their prices were just too high for what I could afford at such last minute notice. They ran diagnostics and told me that my HVAC blower motor needed replacement as well as the motor resistor. They quoted me almost $700 for the job and I just couldn't afford it. I called around and was guided to Jose at AutoPro. I told him my situation and immediately he swept into gear making me feel really confident about everything he was saying. The knowledge and kindness would've been enough but on top of it all he offered to do it for a MUCH LOWER labor cost!!! I was floored and immediately drove my vehicle to the shop. It didn't take but maybe 10 minutes tops for him to advise me that the estimate given by Christian Brothers wasn't necessary and that the only issue was my blower motor. That alone saved me and additional $200 off of the estimate. In no time he had me on the road in freezing cold air. I'm thinking about moving to Denton just to know I have him around if ever there is an issue. Really great, confident, laid back guy. It is IMPERATIVE that you do not hesitate to patronize AutoPro if you wish to be treated super humanely and with a great deal of compassion and honesty. They have my greatest gratitude for this.
