I took my us 610 for repair the compressor stop working I was charged $90 deposit the kelp my unit for 4 or 5 months called me to come pickup the unit I was happy .i pickuped the unit got in the car and left stopped at the gas station I looked at the paperwork and it said unit was not repaired.went back there they said they could not find the parts and the technician who was working on my unit passed away.i asked about the deposit the told me it went towards looking at the unit the cheated me out of 90$ and that's why the charge a deposit fee weather they fix it or not the get $90 im in the process of contacting the attorney general because they are scamming hard looking at the reviews read more

this place has the worst customer experience and worst customer service I've ever encountered. They lied repeatedly saying things were repaired when they weren't. I have now made 3) 6 hours (each way) drives only get there and find the repairs weren't done after them calling me saying they were ready. l have wasted countless hours and thousands of dollars on these clowns and have nothing but broken shit to show for it. I needed repairs done to an access virus ti. I sent in the keyboard to audio electronics, requested the expedited service and a total diagnostic and repair. They fixed a pot on it that I had requested, and then shipped it back after quite a bit of unfortunate fuss. When it arrived home, I noticed that the line in jacks in the back were still loose and had not been repaired at all, although I had paid for this service. I emailed them about this issue, and they ignored me. I am not impressed, especially after the expenses of shipping this device out there and back. read more

I had a bad experience there. Of course they would say I was informed of their policy. I took an old Marantz Superscope cassette player/recorder in for a repair estimate. They called and told me how much $ to repair it. Too much an investment for me. They informed me that I was still liable for the diagnosis charge of $80. What? I own a fitness studio in Southlake and our amp switch stopped working today & we had no way to pump the sound for classes this morning. $80 charge just to give an estimate on our item - took several weeks for them to even look at it - and repair cost came close to replacement of the item. Unsurprisingly we declined estimate. They then were going to charge me $30 for ground shipping back to my office. The actual cost is $9. These guys then decided to charge me a $10 'handling fee' to box it up after I sent them an address label for return shipping. Took in an old Reel to Reel to be recapped. Expectations were low. All I wanted was to get a few tracks working out of 16. They took nearly a year charged me $750, and couldn't even do that properly. Took my Roland Keyboard in October 26, 2021 for key repair. Paid $80 for diagnosis. Told me it would be about six weeks before they could look at it. They did not touch it until late January. Then I found out they could not fix it because Roland does not make the parts anymore. Told them in advance I would come pick it up twice, one about four days before I made the trip, then called the morning of the trip to go get it. They did not have it reassembled when I got there and told me it would take 15 minutes, then brought it out in about 4 minutes, probably rushing without caring if it was reassembled properly. Got it home and found out that now the digital display on it does not work now. Not the condition in which I turned it in. This company clearly does not exhibit integrity in its business dealings. Take your equipment elsewhere. They are dishonest about their turn-around time, and don't care whether you leave satisfied or not. read more

I dropped off my wireless guitar system for repair since they are an authorized service center for my brand to prepare for my next scheduled live performance, which was in six weeks. In short: The only correspondence I received from them was the estimate for a simple re-solder job (more than the cost to replace the transmitter if searching wisely on eBay), but I reluctantly agreed. From then, they had ordered the wrong parts and not even completed repairs after six weeks, forcing me to purchase another wireless system elsewhere just to play my gig. I picked up my wireless system from them the day of the show because I was not about to spend another penny with them. They replaced the antenna (the original reason for the repair), but the transmitter was disassembled. I didn't have time to argue about it, so I got out of there as quickly as I could. Today, I attempt to test out this wireless system only to find out that the transmitter no longer works! No power. They ruined my transmitter. At least they were pleasant to speak to. read more

Just called to order a replacement diaphragm for a speaker- was told they could not quote me a price for the part, that I would need to pull the 120 pound speaker down from 30 feet in the air, drive it to Garland, and hand them $80 to tell me how much the diaphragm would cost. I dropped my roland drum module off for a couple repairs about a month & a half ago with these guys.. Along with the snare from the kit.. I put down the initial $80 deposit, as does every customer... they told me it would be about 2-3 weeks for them to take a look at it; unless I wanted to spend extra for their express fee.. I got a call back about a month later saying that they needed to order the parts & that it would taken even more time. Estimate for the repairs on the module & snare was quoted at $350. I agreed to accept the estimate. So after waiting another 2 weeks, I got the call to come pick up my stuff. I showed up, payed the remaining portion of the repair & was given my stuff to take home. However, just to double check, I asked the technician if he could plug in my module & actually go over the repairs that were made to both items. After plugging in the module, which was repaired exactly to my liking, he followed by plugging in my snare drum that was supposed to be fixed as well.. Much to my surprise, there was STILL no signal coming from the snare drum.. The exact issue I brought it in for.. needless to say, I was extremely disappointed knowing that if I wouldn't of double checked at the repair shop.. I would of gone home paying for a repair that never actually took place... After expressing my dissatisfaction, the techs at the store scrambled around for about an hour & a half in the back room trying to fix it.. Mind you, I drove 45 minutes to get here from my home.. Also had my unruly child with me.. so having to sit around this place for an extra hour & a half, was not something I had expected to do.. SO, long story short, if you want to pay for repairs that never happen or perhaps you feel like wasting a hour & a half of your day waiting around to pick up an instrument that was supposed to already be fixed.. This is the place for you.. Now if you are like every other human being, and don't like being lied to.. You might want to explore your other options. I do want to add, they did managed to fix my snare in store after waiting around for an hour & a half.. which I appreciate.. But like I told the manager, I received a voicemail from his store a week earlier saying that my equipment was 100% ready for pick up, even though it wasn't... I told the manager I was unhappy & was contemplating writing a negative review on yelp. He didn't seem concerned in the least, and told me "I don't care about stuff like that".. so considering he doesn't care, I figured I'd give everyone a little insight on how this company conducts their business.. read more

WORST place to take your equipment for repair!!! POOR BUSINESSES Ethics!!!! I took my phantom s keyboard to get two broken keys replaced on the 12 of oct 2021, they told me it would take 4 to 6 weeks to get repaired keep in mind you have to pay a $80 fee upfront, week # 7 I called for an update, they stated that The keyboard did not make it on the technician table as yet and there's 5 equipment that's in front of mine, Keep in mind no calls from them with any updates, I called back on mon the 20th of December, the keyboard still didn't make it on the technicians table, spoke with ------- for 5 minutes I request them to not open or make any repair on the unit and I would come and pick it up, on My way to pick up unit I got a called from the technician explaining his findings when he open the equipment, I ask why did he open the keyboard because I told them not to he stated he didn't receive any instructions to not open the keyboard, he told me I still have to pay the $80 for the diagnosis. read more

Brought in a large format dinosaur of a console that I purchased from a church auction just to see if it was worth salvaging. They hand-built a new power supply for me, and cleaned every single fader, pot, and switch. The thing sounded dreamy for months after, right up until my drunken guitar player fell on it and bent the frame...but that's another story for another time. Took my QSC speakers covered under warranty. Also had some issues with Mckie mixer and subwoofer. The service was fast and efficient. The staff was extremely knowledgeable. Extremely disappointed. This place has really gone down the tubes. Besides it taking three trips before by my Tascam 320B was fully repaired, the guy in the front handled it like he was working in a freight depot. Apparently they took my board and walked it end to end to the bench. I had hoped to have it restored, but I'm not sure what I can do now. I called to complain, but they pretty much shrugged it off. First of all, they don't return phone calls and they don't reply to emails. I drove to the store to order a part. The manufacturer won't sell parts to customers, only authorized service centers. I needed a floor monitor repaired (intermittent sound coming from the woofer). Initial estimate was that it could be as little as the deposit amount ($80) if it was a cold solder joint or something and as much as $150 if the speaker needed replaced. I was told that the backlog was 4 weeks unless I paid one of two levels of rush fee (next day diagnosis or 1 week diagnosis). I really don't like places taking rush fees instead of just doing everything in an efficient manner, but they did get it on the bench at exactly 4 weeks so it met the stated goal. I got the call that it would need a new speaker and that it would be about $70-$80 on top of what I deposited. I approved the work. A week later I got the call that it was done and that I owed $106. Huh? When I went down (I was on another call when they told me it was done and couldn't discuss the jump in price), they told me that there was a shipping charge for the speaker. If so, that should have been explained the week before. I specifically said to the guy who called the week before "so $150-$160 out the door?" He replied "yes." After discussing with the manager, he agreed to waive the shipping. I think the 3 star is appropriate. The service was slow but met the commitment, and the product was effectively repaired. The estimate process failed but was eventually made right. I would probably take gear to them again, though I would make a greater point about clarifying any possible charges. read more

I confirm and verify everything that Yelp users ,Christopher L. and Josh C., said. Guitar Center actually recommend Audio Electronics to me. I dropped off my Adam A5X studio monitors there paid $160 initial check in deposit so they could take a look at them. They gave me an estimate of $260 total for the repair and parts. They call me 5 weeks later saying that the repair will be a total of $550 (because I did not pay for rush service). I denied the repair because the estimate they gave me was no where near what they were trying to charge me. When I spoke over the phone I would get put on hold a lot and for long periods of time because they said it was really busy. When I walked in the repair shop 5 minutes after I hung up, it was completely empty. I am never going to Audio Electronics ever again. I wish I would have read these reviews. read more

For years, these guys were the only game in town when it came to professional electronic musical equipment repair. And they had no problem using that privilege to gouge customers. Years ago, I brought them an Eden WT-800 bass amp that kept blowing fuses. Their solution: bypass the overload circuit completely rather than fix it. I didn't find out until I opened the chassis to change the tube, and eventually had a friend repair it correctly. Before that, I had brought them a Yamaha DX-7 with a memory problem. It took no less than 3 separate visits to find out it was just the battery! And then they wanted to charge me for the last service call AND their inflated price for $2 battery. And the technicians I dealt with were borderline rude, as well as incompetent. The last I had heard, they were still doing business as usual. AVOID! read more
