I met with Taylor at City Car Radio and we discussed ways to improve. He didn't push an immediate huge overhaul, but instead suggested we do this in stages and see how it goes. He started by installing a 12" subwoofer and amp in the rear cargo area which added a lot to the quality, but was too much . I contacted him the next day and he offered to exchange the 12" for a 10" in a new box mounted under the rear cargo area. We did that and it was a huge step up, but there was still something missing in the overall sound quality. I had enough credit remaining from the subwoofer exchange to help cover additional costs to upgrade the tweeters and mids (my car had no tweeters at all originally). Once that was complete, the sound was great. After a few weeks of cautious use allowing the system to settle in, I began really testing it out. Almost 9 months later, I swear the sound quality has continually improved and everything sounds ridiculously incredible. And I give it a very thorough workout! Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, Missy Elliot, as well as NPR news during my morning commute and everything sounds perfect. Taylor took a conservative approach throughout the process and didn't push changing out all of the speakers and adding unnecessary equipment. Step by step, add/update, evaluate, and decide if we need more.
