I bought my dash cam almost nine months ago and kept telling myself I'd install it "next weekend." Finally gave up on that plan and headed to Audio Images after reading all the Yelp reviews. Ace, the manager, and his team were great. Super friendly, super professional. The install was clean, wires completely hidden and they finished faster than the time they quoted. Pricing felt fair, and the whole experience was easy. If you need a dash cam installed, check them out. Quality work. read more

My radio/nav system in my Toyota was malfunctioning. Toyota wanted $2,000 to install a replacement. This is for a unit that didn't have Apple Carplay! This shop was great for customizing my 2015 SLK350 with a compatible audio interface and backup camera. Ace worked with me to find the right head unit that would work with the car's buttons and audio system. Vince, the installer was helpful in explaining the installed system to me. This shop sells and installs several top brands, but Ace gladly installed a unit that I purchased myself. Because I was referred to AI by my auto repair shop, I received a discounted labor rate. I would recommend Audio Images without hesitation. read more

This shop is the greatest in the Bay Area!! Went to them bc of a recommendation from my hubs and was not disappointed. From the get-go, it was very informative and professional. The recommendations from Jeff, the owner, were top notch. Ace is an awesome person to work with as well. You never feel like they're trying to up sell you. They honestly want you to get what you want and the best price for your budget. Jackson did a stellar job installing and explaining how the new car play would work and even set it up for me. This is a long overdue review Jeff and Ace are absolute rock stars, I needed a new head unit and cameras installed in my car and had some pretty specific requirements, they took the time to discuss various custom options with me and ended up sourcing a camera unit from a vendor specifically for me because they thought it would meet my requirements. The Sony head unit they installed looked liked it was from the factory and the cameras are hidden with other specific requirements were all met. I highly recommend this shop for all of your electronic needs read more

Took my car in to get my radio fixed and Jeff was super helpful in picking the replacement parts and walking me through all of the steps he was going to do when fixing it up. He was very knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. He gave me a 1000$ quote and called me to tell me it would be a lot less than what we had talked about. If that doesn't tell you that a shop is honest and reputable then I don't know what does. Special shoutout to Rubin from the shop for helping me out and answering some of my questions too! I will definitely refer my friends and family to this shop because they are one of the few honest shops I've been to. read more

The head unit for my Toyota Prius died after 12 years, and my Toyota service team referred me to Audio Images in Burlingame. Jeff, Ace, and the entire team there were friendly, knowledgeable, and total pros. Based on the specifications I gave them, they suggested the Sony XAV-AX4000. I recommend calling them at least a week in advance so that they can order the correct parts for your car. After I dropped off my car in the morning, they were able to complete the installation of the new head unit in the same day and were finished in the afternoon. The new system looks great and is super user-friendly! read more

I custom-ordered a Focal speaker for my BMW 6-series which took a bit of waiting to get, but these custom speakers are designed to stealthily plug into factory speaker locations for BMW, Mercedes, Tesla, etc. while giving an upgrade to the overall sound fidelity. I am a knowledgeable car and home audio enthusiast and I appreciated that they set me up exact the way I liked and were quick with their work. They charge $150/hr labor for products purchased through them, but you can even bring in your own electronics to have them install it if you prefer, although it's slightly more expensive. I was happy with the careful and thoughtful approach they took with the install and the sound quality is superb. read more

This review is a bit overdue, but back in April I had a backup camera and CarPlay retrofitted into my 2016 Porsche Cayman GTS. Audio Images did an exceptional job--everything was installed cleanly, the integration works flawlessly, and it truly feels OEM. Their communication throughout the process was proactive and clear, and they even recommended a better backup camera than what I originally planned for. Overall, the experience was smooth and the pricing was very reasonable. Highly recommended. read more

My recent experience with Audio Images reminded me as to why shops like this exist. While restoring my classic muscle car, I went out on a limb and installed my own system components. It's not a crazy complex system, but my amplifier definitely has more settings and functions that I can't even begin to explain. I was content with it, but there was always something that was nagging in the back of my mind. I finally caved and decided to give these guys a call. I am upset at myself for not doing it sooner. Pulling into their shop parking lot, I was immediately met with employees ready to help. Jeff, the owner, jumped right into the trunk and began dialing in my amplifier. After a bit of time and climbing in and out of the trunk, he called over Ven, who went back over everything multiple times over and tweaked it all just a little bit more. The clarity and tone change was so drastic, you'd think I had a whole new system installed. The 6-1/2s and 6x9s speakers inside are now crystal clear and distributed perfectly throughout the car. The 10" sub in the trunk is just as smooth as the others and balanced perfectly overall. The best part is now being certain that I am no longer putting any unnecessary strain or damaging what I have with settings I had tried to configure myself (whoops). I'm sure there are a multitude of shops out there that wouldn't touch a system that they didn't install themselves. Not Audio Images. They even complimented some of the little things I had to do to get my system to work, which was reassuring for a first time install. For getting scheduled way quicker than I figured I would be, having multiple sets of eyes on everything, not being dismissed for giving it a go myself at first, no longer risking damaging what I have, and leaving the shop with a massive audible difference in audio clarity, the experience was priceless. Without a doubt in my mind, I will be back with more toys. Thank you Jeff, Ven, and Aaron specifically for getting me squared away. The saying "Leave it to the professionals" stands true with Audio Images. read more

Audio image is the place to go Ace, Jeff and the whole team took great care of me and my jeep. They gave me the recommendation of buying my replacement screen online and bringing it down for them to install. All around great experience with my screen replacement and service. read more

Great people who do quality installation work at a fair price. Excellent service. I highly recommend these guys.

I brought in my 2024 Acura Integra A-Spec Tech to have an amp and subwoofer install. Jeff and his team were extremely professional and provided excellent customer service and the installation worked out perfectly to my liking. I wanted the installation to have a nice look in my new car and they communicated well to ensure the installation looked great. They were knowledgeable about new cars and helped prevent issues with car electronics. I brought in my own subwoofer box which had issues and Jeff was kind enough to quote me on a new subwoofer and subwoofer box which worked out great as they had it in stock. I have been doing business with Jeff and Audio Images for over 5 years and included installation in a 2019 Subaru WRX STI, 2018 Toyota Camry and a 2014 Infiniti G35. Installation included a new deck, subwoofer, amp, datalink maestro, alarm, backup camera, dash cam and sound deadening. I have done car audio install around San Francisco area with other installers and did not have the best experience. I was happy to find Audio Images as they provide great customer service and pricing. I would highly recommend speaking to them to see what they can offer you. read more

I'm restoring my 2001 Tundra and I wanted to install a head unit and some new speakers. I bought the head unit I wanted and they recommended some Sony door speakers. The communication from the initial engagement was great and transparent. Ace is the coordinator. He called with upfront pricing, called the same day of the appointment to confirm, and the car was done at the end of the day. They completed everything they said they were going to do and gave me a walkthrough after. Jeff is a great guy and runs a good crew. I'll be going back to them to install an under seat sub/amp kit. Went in today to get a quote, they were very clear on the pricing and what was needed for the upgrade. They have alot of options, from budget to more expensive(better) upgrades. So I decided to use their service. And they went above and beyond, I got upgraded speakers, amp and subwoofer and it sounds amazing!!! They did it all on the same day, and there is even a option to turn up and down the amp near my console. Overall an exceptional experience. read more

Definitely recommend Audio Images for all your car audio needs and wiring! I had an issue with my BMW's stock subwoofer that was driving me crazy, and I couldn't find the cause or a solution anywhere. I literally spent weeks trying things, reading boards and trying again, but no luck. I finally decided to reach out to Audio Images through their website, got a quick response from Ace and was in their shop the very next day. The team quickly trouble shot the issue and fixed it. I should have come here weeks ago! A+ service and work! And honest. They could have sold me something I didn't need, but they spent didn't. They took the time to fix the problem and it was less expensive than a new subwoofer. I'll be back when it's time to upgrade the BMW and with my other cars. These guys were great! read more

I wanted a front and rear dash cam set up that was hard wired! I went to Audio Images. Ace was at the counter and I explained what I wanted and he showed me two options. I went with the Vantrue Nexus 4 Pro which provides front, rear, and interior views with GPS, and parking monitor. Ace quoted me a price for the camera and an estimate of the installation charge for my specific car 2025 Hyundai Tucson which was a range from $400 - 7 or $800 . I made an appointment and returned the following week for installation. I had taken pictures of my vehicle interior and exterior prior to dropping it off. Not necessary. Audio Images did an absolutely fantastic professional job. There is no evidence that the headliner was even opened. As far as the installation estimate, it wound up being on the low end at $450 for 3 hours at their advertised rate of $150 per hour. All in all I would highly recommend Ace and Audio Images. read more

Jeff and Ace did an excellent job removing my old stereo system from 20 years ago and installing a brand new system along with an amp and a subwoofer. The job was done on time and under budget. I had these guys install a Borla active performance exaust sound system for my Mustang Mach-e GT. This is a really cool product that allows an EV (like the Mach-e) to have a pretty realistic sounding performance exaust sound. Which has 4 choices of V8 performance car sounds that can be turned off or on with volume control. So it has a speaker enclosure that is mounted under the car near the back bumper with an integrated wiring harness connected through the cars data bus. All plug & play with no modifications needed to the car. I have a new 2024 Mustang Mach-e GT Rally car and didn't want to take it to just any shop for this install. So I did my research and found Audio Images in Burlingame. According to reviews has a great reputation and works on all types of car audio & car electronics systems. Not just your typical car audio shop. I called & discussed with them and they were very interested in installing this system for me. They did an awesome job and proved very worthy of my confidence in them. I would highly recommend this shop for any other Mach-e owners getting this system or for any other car audio & car electronics needs. Thanks to Jeff, Ace & the rest of the crew there! read more

Wow! I'm truly impressed with Jeff & Reuben. They are professional and knowledgeable. I needed a gps installed in my car and they got it done under the quoted price and under the estimated time. From this, I gather that they are honest and really know what they're doing. I've modified my cars in my younger years with audio and Audio Images has my old installers beat by far.
