They are the best! We had "bad buy" install a new radio/head unit in our truck. When my husband picked it up, he couldn't believe how sloppy the work was. They cut too much of our dash- you could see the inside of the dash! That night, I called Audio Concepts and Ramon got us in first thing in the morning! They pulled the unit out and cleaned up the "rats nest" of wires, properly connected the cables to the steering wheel controls and fit the radio/head unit properly in the dash. They also put in a backup camera in the handle of the lift gate. It looks great and works perfectly! Thank you Audio Concepts for your clean and though work! See you next time! read more

Great experience in working with Audio Concepts. Called Jose last week and setup an appointment for 9am. I got there 15 minutes early and he had the store open, ready to go. Got me in on time (actually early), said he would have my car done by 12pm noon. He got it done at 11:30. These guys do quality work and pricing is very fair against anyone else around. Plus, it's really important to me to support local business. Use these guys, they know their stuff, have a lot of experience and do great work. Thanks again, Danny read more

After years of use our radio finally died and so started searching about for a replacement. We were told to stop by and give them a look. We met with Raymond who spent time asking us what we needed. After some back and forth we came up with a list and he priced it all out for us up front. There was a cost to what we wanted but in the end everything turned out great. We have a new Keenwood that sounds great and an added rear view camera. All work was done on time and clean. read more

Been coming here for years, and every time I do, it's fast friendly service, and professional advice! Jose leads a great team!

I brought in an 06 Prius. The first time around I waited an hour for them to work on it. Average time, average service. I go home and my car is behaving strangely. A/C isn't working and lights are flashing. When I put it in park, it screams at me and turns on the biggest, scariest warning light. I called back and told them, and after getting in touch with my dealer, was connected with the manager. For my safety, he came out TO MY HOUSE and sat and worked on my car for another hour, taking it apart and figuring out the problem and explaining it to me in terms I could grasp. He returned me to the shop and they fixed it for no extra charge, after another hour of labor. An experience I'll never forget. THIS is customer service. I only wish I'd had cash on me to tip. read more

Awesome stereo shop. I had my stereo installed at a big box retailer, which was a huge mistake...but thats another review...I wanted to install a backup camera on my truck and these guys made it happen. The installer at Audio Concepts asked me for the wire harness that came with my new stereo so that he could connect the camera. I couldnt find anything in the box. Without the harness no install would be possible...or I would have to order a new one from Pioneer at a steep price. Audio Concepts figured that the big box retailer probably kept the harness in their shop, so THEY DROVE TO THE BIG BOX RETAILER and found my harness! Way above and beyond what a store would normally do. They did the install and it looks like a factory installed camera and works like a charm. I do not hesitate to highly recommend this shop. Customer Service is King and these guys know it! read more

I was looking to upgrade the head unit in my truck and was looking to get a unit with Navigation and better wattage output. In looking around the internet, I saw that Kenwood units were rated rather highly, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that Audio Concepts dealt with Kenwood and was stocking a unit that I was interested in. The entire process was pretty painless, as it was an uncomplicated installation. But, the install was clean, there were no rattles, and my truck was ready well before the estimated work time of two hours had elapsed. Pricing on my head unit was comparable to what I saw online, and I was happy to keep my business in town. Oh yeah, the nice thing about dealing with Audio Concepts is they back their work, so if there are any problems related to labor, they will fix it right away. Based upon my experience, I would not hesitate to purchase from them in the future. Thanks guys! read more

Bought a car stereo for my son at Christmas without evening thinking about installation assuming Best Buy would do it- come to find out the nearest installer Best Buy has on staff is Woodland Hills. I called Audio Concepts- they were super quick, very reasonable (pricing was as good- if not better then Best Buy) and very knowledgeable and helpful. It was a blessing in disguise that Best Buy couldn't help- I would not go back to Best Buy ever again for installation not when I can go here with certifiable technicians who obviously know and love what they do. No need to even think twice- I 100% recommend this shop!! read more

Definitely the best place in Simi to get a car stereo! I like to spend my money at locally-owned businesses when I can, and this place did not disappoint! He gave me a great deal, provided great service and installed my stereo quickly. He gave me the perfect recommendation for my needs and I really love my new stereo. I couldn't be happier! read more

Still waiting for the HID lights I ordered some time ago. Called on 3 separate occasions, but all I get is 'we will check on them and call you back today'. Unfortunately no one ever calls back. There must be a problem with whomever orders and manages the orders coming in. Thinking about asking for my money back if I can't get an answer today. read more

Just gonna start by saying thank you Jose for the amazing customer service that keeps me coming back! I have had 2 trucks brought to this shop, one for a full system install with dynamat and one for custom mounting tweeters. Everything is installed professionally so you know your getting your moneys worth. Even after 3 years the customer service for my install stands strong. I came back in with a sound issue where my left side speakers were cutting out and I was getting engine whine this past week, Jose and his guys fixed it and made sure my RCA's and all connections were secured tightly. I haven't heard those noises since and was able to go on my road trip with no sound issues at all ! Not to mention he didn't even charge me a dime. This team stands by they're work and will make sure it continues to work for you for years to come. No selling you on products you don't need, no lies, just honest work here. Thank you Jose and the team at audio concepts!!! I will be back again and again, can't wait for the next system build ! read more

Audio Concepts - Car Stereo Installation Near Me - Simi Valley, California

Came in to look at the options for radio upgrade for my pick up truck. Ramon showed me what is available and explained everything in complete detail. He never tried to pressure me one way or another. He gave me a written estimate and we set up an install date. Audio Concepts did some thing that most companies do not do any more. They did exactly what they told me they would do when the job was scheduled. There were no additional costs, my vehicle was ready when promised, a very clean installation, 100% satisfied. I have actually been back several times to ask technical questions and they were answered everything to my satisfaction. Everything was first class, I would highly recommend them. read more

Audio Concepts is #1...specializes in RVs. Contact Jose, tech rep; he did GREAT work!

These guys rock! Had a job done approx. 4-5 years ago in an older Supra. I was very impressed with the setup and had to come back with my Jeep. I didn't get a full system installed into my Jeep, just two 10 inch subs, amp, bass knob and all the wiring. My sound system finally sounds complete after this install and I LOVE IT! Made an appointment 1 week in advance, came in the day of the appointment around 10:30 and was told it would be done around 4 maybe 3 same day. I got a call around 2:00 saying it was done. I felt bad bringing all my own parts (amp and subs) but the price was very fair! I've been in and out of this shop a few times for quotes and these guys are always helpful and knowledgeable and they know what they are doing. I'm a car guy and i'm VERY picky with who I let touch my cars and I trust these guys, they will make your ride sound amazing! read more

From start to finish I was extremely pleased with the caliper of work/professionalism these guys show at Audio Concepts. Was looking for a seamless integration / upgrade to my Audi A6. Always had aftermarket systems in my cars with oversized subs, etc, but never had a true SQ (sound quality) setup in my vehicles, so I wanted to step it up. Ramon & team convinced me they could get even better sound on a much smaller scale. Let me tell you, although skeptical at first, they were right, and proved it is worth every penny. I thought I was going to sacrifice SPL (sheer loudness), but I was absolutely mistaken. I've never heard any car audio this loud, clean & accurate, yet still ground shaking and chest thumping. Ramon and his team explained everything and took their time making sure I was comfortable with the build. Even called me periodically to ensure I was ok with a few unforeseen situations. I could have left it to them and trusted their judgement as they obviously knew what I was looking for, and clearly know what they are doing. I would post pictures but it would be pointless as you cant even tell this has a monster system in it with minimal footprint. Lastly, and as another review mentioned as I was looking around, these are one of the few places that lived up to the exact number quoted from day 1. Of course they warned if there was anything unpredicted that might change that, they would call me BEFORE making any decisions that would effect the price. Extremely satisfied customer that will be back for all audio needs. read more

I can not say enough about this local company. management and the employees are unbelievably professional take really good care of your vehicle and always do what they promise. This review is undeservedly very belated. About a month ago, I got a new stereo for my car for my birthday. It was just a head unit that was better than my stock one, nothing too complex, but I had neither the equipment nor the desire to solder, so I called up Audio Concepts and asked if I could make an appointment to have it installed. I was about to go on a weekend trip out of town and it was very short notice, so I wasn't expecting to be able to get an appointment right away. The gentleman who answered the phone informed me that while he didn't have an appointment available until the following week, because it was such a simple project he was confident that if I left my car there for the better part of the day, he would be able to work on it in between other cars and get it done. I was totally okay with this as I didn't need to leave until late in the afternoon, and he was right: got it done well before I needed to leave and even took the time to go over all of the stereo settings with me AND threw in a free auxiliary cable. Very courteous service and quality work; I absolutely recommend this place to friends and would come here again! read more

My son just installed a sub woofer and amp in his car, and we couldn't be happier. Justin and Jose are the best. We did extensive research, both in many stores and online, and after having a long conversation with Justin, we opted for Audio Concepts. He is patient, detail oriented and worked with us regarding the price as well. The sound system is amazing, and we know we couldn't have gotten a better deal or better service anywhere else. We will DEFINITELY be recommending Audio Concepts to everyone. read more

This place is extremely professional and I would take my cars there again. Recently had my 2nd car worked on, and the care they take is 1st class! They make everything flush-mounted, clean, and guarantee their work... best spot in locally by far! and they're willing to make deals! read more

Don't waste your time going anywhere else! The big box stores like Best Buy have the worst customer service. Audio Concepts may cost slightly more however it's more than worth it for their speed and service. Th tank you again for the awesome work! read more

very helpful. fixed my navigation cord for a reasonable price. thank you

I recently purchased a 1991 classic-to-be which still had the original radio/cassette deck that was badly in need of an upgrade. After searching the web and reading some of the reviews, I decided to stop by Audio Concepts to see what they could offer. Justin listened to my needs and we reviewed my budget and he made a couple of suggestions. We talked through the options and settled in on a system that seemed to make the most sense. No pressure, no sales pitch, just good honest advice that allowed me to make a decision. The installation was done in less than a day, the only thing that looks any different is the faceplate in the dash, and the sound is fantastic. If you are in the market for a sound system, you owe it to yourself to stop by Audio Concepts to see what they have to offer. Great service, great prices and very clean installation. Thanks Justin! read more
