So it's my first time having a truck. Looking for a shop that works on trucks seems like an endless search. Reading the reviews carefully and decipher if I should consider or not. I wanted my 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD to drive and ride better than originally designed. First, I wanted a better ride. Mine has some mileage and the Ranchos had to go. I went to one shop and I got a quote for set of leveling kit with Fox shocks. I didn't agree with the labor because I've seen videos on YouTube on how to do such job and how long would it take to finish it. So I left searching for another shop that can provide me a more realistic quote. This is where I landed to this shop and glad I did. Tim asked me what I intended to achieve. Obviously I also did my own research about these trucks and I don't want to go crazy to spend on something I'm not going to need. I want to have a better ride and I told him I want a set of Bilstein 5100. He didn't budge and quickly gave me a price and availability and how much for installing them. I agreed on the quote and I also had him add Banks Pedal Monster and Derringer. I made an appointment, got it installed, left the shop with a big smile on my face! Next, I had him install a leveling kit from Cognito. Again, bigger smile this time around. I got some new set of wheels but still waiting for some tires that's been back ordered for some time now. I really didn't want to do this, but I think it is necessary. I was in need for helper springs for a company vehicle, and reached out to T&R. I explained the timeframe needed for the parts and was assured they would arrive the next day between 12-230. I received no calls, and had to finally reach out at 330 to get an update but there was no answer so I left a message. With no return call I tried again 15 minutes later and got the someone on the phone (no name was ever exchanged, partially my fault), and was told it left the shipping center at 8am and should be there by end of day. Well, as you probably guessed, I never received any other updates the rest of the day so I bombarded them will calls with no response until almost 5pm when I was told the delivery driver was in the area and I would be contacted once it arrived. My fault for believing this, as I never got a call again that day... I then received a call at 845 in the morning the next day stating the courier is closed today and would have no update until Monday. Again, I did not pressure this shop for the parts, they took the order with the knowledge of how important this was and chose to take my money in full with no regard in communicating the location of my parts. I try to support local business, and hate when this happens. I then ordered from a large supplier (which I would have done if i was informed of the actual timeline this shop could get the part) on Saturday and promptly received it first thing Monday morning. This contributes to the closing of local businesses. Just a bit of advice from a business owner and consumer, communication goes a long way and being upfront gives credibility to you and your company. Please research and get all promises confirmed in email form to ensure you are covered. The only good that came from this was I got my refund promptly. read more

I own a small business and after my tools were stolen I had a very tough time finding a shop to replace a bed cover with a factory replacement. They all didn't want to take the chance to install it because they were afraid of it being too difficult and then they all tried to upsell me On a new cover at $1,500 more than just installing the replacement i had. Only place I'd take my truck to get accessories and have them put on. Brought in my 2015 GMC Denali HD Diesel to purchase some fender flares. Tim's prices were fair and the turnaround time to get them painted to match my factory paint and then installed was minimal. He did such a great job, I have been back several times to add a few more things. Retrax Pro Tonneau cover, Mag Hytec differential and transmission covers. This is a small shop. Brought my brothers truck in on February 28th to have a turbo bolt and a manifold bolt removed because they had snapped. As the first week went by I started calling during the week just to get an update on how the truck is going and being overly anxious to see if it is fixable. After a few weeks go by I started dropping in seeing what's going on. I noticed the truck has not moved from when i first dropped it off and there was a different truck in the shop each time I went by. After being told by Tim that the turbo bolt was removed and fixed and the only thing left was the manifold bolt I thought, ok finally some progress... today April 9th, 41 days after I initially dropped off the truck. We decided to pick the truck up and take it elsewhere. And come to find out the truck was not touched since we dropped it off. Lack of communication, not very reliable. Very disappointed, after spending a lot of money there on my truck and seeing the quality work tim does, I thought I had a reliable place to take my brothers. I was wrong. read more

Prices are better than a lot of places, even online sometimes. I have taken my jeep there quite a few times for work. Had a pull on my jeep and Tim replaced my tie rods, ball and U joints, and castor arms with heavy duty ones for a little cheaper than Firestone with stock replacements. My car is still pulling (other reasons) but Tim knows what he is doing and does a great job. He is usually pretty busy so sometimes got to be patient. Only place I would trust with my jeep. Definitely recommend him to anyone with a jeep or truck for customization. read more

SOLID WORK!!! Tim has worked on several of my husband's trucks over the years, all of the work has been done timely and professionally. Recently, Tim raised our 3 axel 5th wheel 2" and installed shocks. Tim really spent time making sure this job was done properly so we would be safe when towing. The ride is so much smoother! This place is great!!! I was getting frustrated trying to find some special parts for a project. I stopped at numerous other places with no luck. On a fluke I stopped in to see if they had what I needed. Not only did they have what I needed, but the owner was the only person I met who knew exactly what I was trying to do. The quality of the work Tim does at T & R is second to none. I have used him to do work on my past three vehicles and I am alway impressed. He is meticulous and stands behind the work he does. From a full tow master treatment on my Chevy diesel which included spray in bed liner, on board air with air suspension, extended range Titan fuel tank, 6" full lift kit and sliding fifth wheel hitch to the AEV lift, winch, tires,wheels and custom bumper on my Jeep JK, T&R can do it all. CALL THE BUREAU OF AUTO FIRST BEFORE SPENDING A PENNY WITH THIS GUY. I filed a complaint on this shop recently and the report should tell you everything but Ill say it again. Tim has done a ton of work to my Jeep in the past. Axle swap, transfer case swap, welding/fabricating, etc.. Do yourself a favor and save your time and money and stay clear away from him. Tim is a LIAR, CHEAT, and DISHONEST! Take the time to read this: 1. He couldnt gear my Ford 9" rear axle, the gears were screaming after supposedly several attempts of putting fresh gears in. He then proceeded to come up with a excuse that the axle housing was bent. So I agreed with him to send it down to Currie Enterprises to get it straightened. Got the axle back and installed, well the gears were still screaming. 2. I paid Tim to upgrade my NP231 transfer case by putting a wide chain kit in it. Well around 7 months later, was on my way home from a trip, and all of a sudden my Jeep just revved when I was pushing the gas. It left me stranded in the middle of the night and in the middle of the desert off highway 395. I had to get myself towed home. Went to a different mechanic, and found out my transfer case basically exploded. AND THERE WAS NO WIDE CHAIN/SPROCKETS IN MY TRANSFER CASE. After finding out about my transfer case and how Tim LIED to me and STOLE money from me, I proceeded to investigate if my rear axle was even ever sent out to Currie Enterprises to get straightened. Well guess what, THEY HAD NO RECORD of my axle getting sent to them for a servicing. Tim STOLE almost $900 from me and LIED about doing the work that I paid him to do! After finding out all of this, I got the Bureau of Auto involved. They quickly jumped onto my complaint, and Tim agreed to give me back my money. This wasnt the first time I had to get money back from Tim either! Regarding my rear axle, since Tim couldnt gear it right, and after spending hundreds of dollars on new axle shafts, 3rd member, supposedly getting it straightened (B.S), I went to a different shop to get a second opinion on the gears. Turns out it was all wrong and I had to fork out another $1500 bucks to do a re-gear with another shop. After that was fixed, I proceeded to talk to Tim face to face for a refund back for the work he did to my rear end, which was about another $1000 bucks I got back from Tim. Save your time and money. Theres better shops less then a quarter mile away that wont LIE and STEAL your hard earned money! Like I said, I filed a complaint on T&R Performance recently and you should be able to look up Tims license on the Bureau of Auto's website and view the report. This guy needs to be shut down. read more

paid T&R PERFORMANCE / Tim $1500.00 Deposit on June 12,2012 for FRONT AND REAR Dana 60's . To deliver in JULY. EXCUSES all through July and into Aug. With the final excuse being= They made the rear end to short and put the wrong brackets on both. Will have to start one over from scratch. And the other will take 10 days to re-bracket and powder coat. Almost 3 weeks later the powder coating still not finished. Then late delivery on the replacement housing for the other unit. Then there done (Month 4) and he was in an accident. Leaving one damaged and the other unknown. 2 1/2 weeks to tell me he doesn't know when the insurance company will settle. 2 new units now to be built with the guaranteed delivery date of Nov.23,2012 , or he would be reducing the price. On the 26th emailed me that he would finish them on Friday the 29th and deliver them Sat. the 30th. . Which was yesterday. ..Left 2 messages on Sat.11/30 and a email with of course no response. Today I see his FACE BOOK says he's gone from the 27th to Dec.3rd . There evidently was no intention of him delivering. My buddy says he thinks this is the guy he read about that takes money from Craig's List ads and never delivers. And that is how I found him. Looks like court may be in the future. read more

all tim had to do is order a pair of rancho 500 shocks, i paid in full when he ordered him. he told me they would come in the next day. so far im still waiting for them to come in. i call once a day and he tells me the same story every time, "there still on the delivery truck" or "we missed the delivery today." its been two weeks to do somthing very simple. i personaly work for a small buisness similar to his and if i did buisness like his i would be fired on the spot. tim really needs to figure it out. i will not be using his buisness again. thanks, from the guy who is still wondering about his rancho 500 shocks... read more
