Outstanding craftsmanship and quality! Ramon did a great job on my custom alligator and ostrich saddle for my HD. He custom molded the seat and nailed the design. He used the gator tail piece to create a dash console insert to complement the saddle. Highly recommend "The Upholstery Zone" for any custom work. read more

I had to get my spare tire cover fixed after car dealership unfortunately ripped a section of it loose. Ramon checked if it could fit in his machine and let me know he could fix it. Ramon did an awesome job not just sewing the ripped part but all around as well to reinforce it. The job was done very well. Ramon was helpful and friendly and takes great pride in a quality job and it shows. Thanks Ramon for the great customer service! read more

Ramon is a very nice man who listen to you on your work to be done. I needed a new headliner since it was coming apart. We worked together find the right color for the headliner. Ramon order it and I made an appointment. I had to get the driver seat done since it was starting to come apart. Ramon said he would have work done the same day. He has reasonable prices. I would recommend Ramon. read more

Needed to get my seats reupholstered. They were quick to respond and communicated regularly throughout the process, which was very fast. Took about a week for them to order/get the material/parts. Once everything arrived, they called me right away. They completed the labor in less than a day. Overall, I'm pleased with the way it turned out. Only issue I had was finding the place the first time because Google maps doesn't really have the right coordinates/directions and has you turn on the wrong street. read more

I inadvertently damaged the arm rest of my wife's car last year and when I looked into fixing it was quoted some outrageous prices to replace the entire car door! Very happy to find Ramon at The Upholstery Zone. He was a joy to work with and was able to skillfully replace just the vinyl on the door. My wife's 2013 Land Rover looks brand new on the inside now. Thank you Ramon! read more

My husband had a custom seat done from Ramon less than a year ago and only put about 400 miles since the seat was done! Already showing signs of wear and tear when the bike barely gets ridden and when stored, it's always in the garage and covered! The bike has NEVER been in rain!!! Love the seat and the work Ramon did. Just think it is an issue with the material used. When speaking to Ramon, he said the manufacturer said there's nothing wrong with the leather. So instead of trying to come up with a solution or work with my husband, he just washed his hands and said there's nothing he can do. Got very defensive as my husband wasn't blaming him he was just making a point of the material that was poor quality!! There was even showing signs of wear in areas no one sits on. Ramon kept putting the blame on my husband and asked why he didn't bring the bike in sooner. My husband explained that it was winter, that he hasn't ridden in about five months so he had no idea the seat looked that way until we took it for a ride !!! Again my husband loves the seat. Just not loving Ramon's response and the lack of support from him to even help out. So now he has to go find another shop and spend another 1,000 to have the seat redone with better leather. Very unhappy customer!! read more

Although the job was done professionally and right, the owner neglected to inform me from the start that he only takes cash for payment. I would not have used this business if I had known that upfront. Don't get me wrong, the owner is a very nice man, does excellent work and does what he can to try to accommodate your schedule, but the lack of communication about payment knocks off a couple stars. read more

I seen his work on a couple motorcycles and had to drive up a couple hours to visit him. Once I got there Ramon the owner showed me around and let me try a couple seats on my 2020 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special to make sure I could custom order whatever I wanted. After about thirty minutes we came up with a custom design and less then a week he called letting me know it was done. Put in on and road three hours back to San Diego and absolutely loved it. I bought a Mustang Super Touring Seat and it was to tall and wasn't very comfortable and the stock seat just needed to be a little softer and moved back a little since I'm 6' 2". This seat now is amazing!! Great workmanship and price!! read more

NOT happy with the uneven and insufficiently padded motorcycle seat that I received or being charged $95 over what I was quoted. Now my girlfriend will be having her back compressed over any bump in the road. Apparently, Ramon did not understand what I was requesting even after several attempts. When I asked him how much to make it right, he wanted ANOTHER $435. This is not a business I could recommend. read more

I'm at my hairdresser and he's going on and on about his new motorcycle seat, he found a great Upholstery shop and couldn't say enough good things. OK - RANDOM.... Fast forward 2 weeks, my girlfriend rips the back seat of her fairly new car! WAIT- my hairdresser was just telling me about a guy......COINCIDENCE?? The owner, Ramon is a a great guy, you can tell he knows his craft. My friend had a few quotes and not only was his pricing the best, we felt comfortable with him, I went with her to get the quotes and we can't really say that across the board. I completley trusted this guy, he instilled complete confidence. He repaired her seat - actually make it look NEW. This shop should be on Monster Garage or Pimp my Ride! If you ever need Upholstery remember this post - it's not as random as you would think.... read more

Wow, such beautiful work! Ramon reupholstered a Triumph Bonneville T120 seat for us in gorgeous brown leather with diamond stitching. The original seat was in okay shape, but it was a dull vinyl. This seat is stunning! And it took much less time than we expected. A few years ago, I had Ramon reupholster my cafe racer seat on my Triumph motorcycle. I have known Ramon for over 10 years. I am part owner of a motorcycle business and have sent many customers to Ramon over the years. Not only have I never received a complaint, my customers cannot say enough positive things about the service and the finished product. Ramon stands behind his work, is always positive and instills confidence that what you want is what you will receive. After referring so many customers over the years, I had an opportunity to use Ramon to put leather seats (with heat & vibration) in my personal vehicle. I now have first hand experience of what my customer's have been raving about for years. Friendly, on time, quality work and always with a smile accompanied by a joyful attitude. If you are looking for car a Upholstery modification, look no further. Ramon owner of Upholstery Zone in Simi Valley is simply the best. He has many 5 star reviews and none less than 5 stars. He is a meticulous person who cares about doing the work perfectly. GM said there was nothing I could do about the removal of the center head rest in my 2011 Impala. I just had to live with the obstructed rear view. Ramon removed it and it was done as if it came form GM without the center head rest. My wife and I could not be more pleased. Very happy with the job Ramon did on the drivers seat for my 2000 Toyota Solara, which had pretty much self-destructed. He expertly matched the dark charcoal color, did the perforations of the center part of the seat, and re-positioned the seat belt guide. The leather is now buttery soft, very comfortable, nicer than new. The car was also sorely in need of detailing, which he also did beautifully. read more
