This was the best car buying experience I have ever been involved with, and I have bought quite a few cars in my life. Jeff Knepp was my first point of contact as I live in Los Angeles, he was absolutely amazing in the way he handled the entire transaction. Never one did I feel pressured by he or anyone from their group. We were able to come up with real pricing on the phone, and we pretty much made the deal on a Friday night, and I was in an uber the next morning bright and early to pick up the car. After arriving to the dealership I was greeted by Jeff and the rest of the staff, handed the keys to the car, and was given a few directions around the neighborhood so I wouldn't get lost finding my way back to the dealer after the test drive. Got back to the dealer 20 mi ties later after a short hop in the car, and after I said let's do it, I was shown to the finance department where Darouny Menna, finished up the paperwork for me. Again, I have dealt with lots of finance people, and most of them get really pushy about trying to get you to purchase extended warranties, and vehicle protections. There was non of this nonsense with Darouny. She went all of my options once, and let me think about, but never kept pressuring me into trying to purchase anything extra. Again, this was very refreshing, most places don't give up on trying to push things on you, but she was as professional as you could have asked for, and I was in and out of the dealer in just over an hour! I'm not sure where to start with the disservice this place gives its customers. We made an appointment over a week ago to get a bulb replaced for my Audi's rear driver's side brake and signal. We clearly stated what we needed when we made the appointment and we had been there before so they knew our car's make and model. We dropped it off at 9:00 and 5 hours later received an email with a video and list of issues that they believed were necessary for them to fix, of course for thousands of $$. This was only available through an attachment that needed downloaded, not a regular email or phone call communication. We called to find out what the status of the bulb install was and were unable to reach anyone. We therefore drove over there to find out what was going on - 6 1/2 hours later ... and they still had not installed the bulb because we hadn't "approved" the install? The entire a d upfront stated purpose of the the service was a new bulb. When Edwin went to get my car it turns out they didn't have the bulb, so almost 7 hours wasted with no fix. Worst car business I've dealt with in 68 years and that's saying a lot. Will not be going back. Jiffy Lube is starting to look more professional. BTW, there was another woman there whom was equally dissatisfied as she had driven down from Paso Robles for an oil change and was still waiting after 4 1/2 hours. Update: we brought our car to the Mercedes BMW garage in SB and they installed the bulb quickly and at no cost. read more

Santa Barbara Audi has provided maintenance for our Audi for the past two years. They have good communication when it comes to confirming and reminders for scheduled services. Their only downfall is they lack quality car washes. During this last visit, my windows were totally missed. I used to live in Southern California and the dealership where I bought my car, provided meticulous car washes. I hope Santa Barbara Audi makes an effort to improve their car washes. read more

I had my oil change done and service for my 90000 miles. They charged me $997 for that. We are told that the service fee of the mechanics now up at $250/hr which is way more expensive than some expert mechanics working on super cars. Totally rip people off. Definitely not going back. read more

We greatly appreciate the assistance and support we received from Edwin (Service Advisor) and Rick (Service Mgr) when were were almost stranded far from home on the eve of a holiday. We can't tell you what a relief it was to land at Audi Santa Barbara's service doorstep and be offered an immediate, no-fuss, awesome solution to our predicament. They gave us a timeframe for the repair on our Q5, which turned out to be accurate and timely. We were sent a video from the service technician (Mike) explaining the issue and fix, showing us the failed part, and going over the results of his inspection (thankfully, all else was good and no further repairs were needed). Communication was clear and efficient (mainly via email). They were extremely accommodating when it came to our schedule. Although we are not local to this dealership and have not had service performed here in the past, the staff at Audi Santa Barbara treated us as if we had; as part of the SB Audi family. Went couple times in service department, the 2 guys working there have very poor guests services.No one acknowledge you when you come in, no "good afternoon sir" " may i help you!" nothing, complete blank. in fact, they look at you like if you bother them or like if you not that important. This review won't do me any good but for future customers this should very helpful. I ordered a car (custom order), dealer pulled my credit got the approval and dealer took my deposit. Car is now built, it should hit the port next month and ready for delivery. Now, dealer told me they can't sell me the car because they just assumed that I'm going to flip the car! because I have sold my previous car and I've had multiple cars and inquiries under my name. I'm like so what?!! Be careful with their management!! they will do some research on you and go into your personal stuff; such as social media, forums etc.. I told them this is none of your business and I waited 6 months this is not fair! I will keep this car, but I'm sure they will sell this to other customers so they could add a premium on the price of the car(ADM/Mark up). I have been to Audi Santa Barbara a number of times to test drive different models and have received some of the most condescending, dismissive and inattentive service I have ever received when looking to buy a car. The sales people always seem irritable and actually put-out to have to get up and assist me. I've owned two Audi's and already love the brand, but these guys don't actually seem to like the brand themselves. No one likes pushy sales people, but the salesmen at Audi Santa Barbara go to an extreme and are down right negligent! Just hand me the keys and let me drive the car. One salesman actually gave me the wrong keys after I started the car, so when the car automatically turned off when I stopped to turn around, it wouldn't turn back on. I called the salesman, and he actually was irritated with me that I drove off with the wrong keys (that he gave me)! Said he realized it after I left and it wouldn't have been a problem if I hadn't turned off the car. I didn't turn off the car! It automatically stops when you stop the car. I guess the thing that is most frustrating is that every time I leave that place, I feel like I did something wrong. Instead of sitting down with me and supporting me in finding the right car for me, I've been dismissed and actually snapped at. I think they need to hire some female sales people who actually like Audi's and perhaps even more importantly like people. Then they need to incentivize their sales staff to actually want to sell these cars. I will not be back! read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I feel totally scammed. I am now driving down south to have my Audi taken care of. I came in for an electrical issue, which was draining my battery, and they told me they couldn't diagnose the problem until I bought a NEW $400+ battery (Not including the first hour labor fee). Seriously? Are you telling me the Audi dealership doesn't have the equipment to temporary charge my car to run a diagnostic check? While I was waiting to get a call back on this appointment ( apparently about how they couldn't diagnose my car), I received a text message telling me that my car could also use new windshield wipers, and small miscellaneous part. I decided, why not, and agreed via text to new wipers etc that would be ready when I picked up my car. When I got back to my car, they said those parts weren't actually in stock and needed to be ordered. (Sorry- not waiting for new windshield wipers to be ordered). Basically- they spent more time looking for ways to up-sell me vs. actually fixing my car. The customer service is also lacking. Rick Wong cut me off when I was trying to ask a question. I don't feel valued, or cared about. They never have loaner cars when your car needs service, and the inside office looks like it has been under construction for quite some time. There are wires hanging form the ceiling, the bathroom is out of order, etc. I'm done. read more

I have been dealing with this dealership for over a week now two different people. I was told the price of the car would be for $438 a month as a lease and then as I was on my way 1 hour away to go sign paperwork after having to ask for a ride (and pay someone gas money )and then they told me that no it was going to be $615 and that they made a mistake on the calculations they both sent The same numbers with the $438 payment I feel this is very unfair and wrong of them to just say oh sorry we calculated wrong. I feel they should honor the price and I'm going to file a complaint as well if this is not resolved fairly with Audcorporate. This is VERY WRONG in my opinion. I have been dealing with Jeffrey and I feel he should honor that. Update: Still no resolution, they should honor the price they said at the beginning. Tony Rossi (I'll double check the name) refused too and kept saying people make mistakes, in my opinion he was very defensive. I believe as most people would; the managers should know how to resolve conflict in a constructive way,this guy just refused to do anything right off the bat. He said I was bashing him, I said I was only telling him what happened with Jeremey seeing as I had never spoken with him before. So how could I have bashed him? Tony kept talking over me which is very disrespectful in my opinion. He also said that he, Tony wishes he could do a review on customers. When I asked what he meant by that, he said that I was being rude. This is coming from a grown man who deals with people every day???!! I was not being rude I was simply telling him what happened and to say that to a customer or potential customer is pretty childish and petty. I can see why this place has had several bad reviews and most of them seem to come from young women. These people are complete, utter, rip off artists. And having done my research, they tried to "sell me" frickin' 10% annual interest!!!! (calculated using the "money factor," for those of you who know how to negotiate a lease). Audi Oxnard offered me half that. A lease on an A4 was 200 bucks more PER MONTH. Their supposed 'excuse' for high Lease prices is that "people typically don't lease Audi's "- Sorry man, that's total BS - they are everywhere FGS, and it's a fact 50% of luxury cars are leased or financed. And the usual - as a smart educated woman/human, I get really, really tired of these "type of people" trying to take advantage of me and think I'm "stupid" for being a female. I mean.... come ON - this is 2019 not the Victorian Age. Miserable quality at dealer prices. We brought our Audi there for the 80k service. Less than 1500 miles later a warning light comes on. No big deal. We brought the car to Audi Santa Barbara again. Hey diagnosed and fixed the root cause, which was some failed part at the intake but then, surprise, told us that our front brake pads and disks were down to the wear limit. How come as the car was just at the same place for scheduled maintenance. Some lame excuse from the service manager was given. Car was there anyhow so we had it fixed. When I picked it up the car rattled quite loud in the front. After bringing it back the noticed that they forgot to tighten the swaybar. So the intake issue would have not forced us to bring the car in we would have been driving wi unusable brakes thanks to Audi Santa Barbara. After bringing the car in Audi Santa Barbara tried to tip the car over by not tightening the sway bar. Dangerous place and therefore never again. read more

I worked with Crit Taylor, who was low-key, knowledgeable, and a genuine pleasure to work with. He instantly knew I was there to JUST check cars out. Test driving several cars actually turned out to be fun! Crit patiently and thoroughly answered my questions and even ran some prelim numbers knowing I needed them to compare as I continued test driving a few others cars. I ultimately ended up buying at a different dealership (just because there were a limited selection of 2015's on their lot.) However, If you're like me, and the high-pressure sales approach is a big negative, I definitely recommend working with Crit Taylor. read more

Soon after buying a 2006 Audi, my wife and I moved to CA, and from then on Santa Barbara Auto group has serviced our Audi for over nine years and 121,323 miles. They have always done a first class job, and treated us really well. It's a two hour drive to Santa Barbara for us, so we always need a loaner and good care. They have never failed to deliver. We just bought an Audi TTS through Kyle Hogland and Santa Barbara Auto Group, and really enjoyed Kyle and his whole sales program. Kyle doesn't press, he tries to find what works for you. We started the day with Ryan, a technician who went over various cars we were interested in, (BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Jag, Porche), and showed us the different features, then waited with the next car while we drove the first, and so forth. The car we ended up wanting, the TTS was difficult to come by, (they had only a TTI in stock), but Kyle traced one down with the features we wanted, got it delivered really quickly, and then, as part of his "Dream Delivery" package, he treated us to a free lunch for two at the Biltmore, one of the really classy places anywhere in the world, in fitting with Kyle's classy sales. The whole sales process was fun, easy and seamless. Buying a car was never so fun. read more

One of the worst car service departments ever! This was our third visit -- first visit was GREAT! But that was when Tammy worked there. She went out of her way to speed up our service, made sure we had a loaner car and assured us we would be given priority since we have to drive 1-1/2 hours from the Central Coast to get to this Audi dealer. That all went out the window when Tammy left and Rick took over.. He doesn't return phone calls -- so don't bother leaving a message! When we explained we were driving from the Central Coast and would need a loaner he assured us we would have one. He called and asked us to change the appointment for later in the week since he wouldn't have a loaner for us. We did change the appointment and even came earlier like he asked. Get there and NO loaner. We had to have the inconvenience of getting a rental car from Enterprise -- which only has CRAP OLD cars! Then when he told us our car would be ready around 4:00!!!! I told him we needed it back before then -- since at this point it was 9:30 and wasn't planning to spend ALL day in Santa Barbara. He said he would have it ready by shortly after lunch. We kept calling from 1:00 - 2:00 when we finally just drove back to the dealership and was told it would be at least another hour!!!!! They clearly didn't even start on the car when we dropped it off since we had a loaner. NO checking in during the day to let us know there was a delay! And I won't even go into the fact that the waiting room is pathetic!!!! read more

Let's skip to the punchline of this story: I drove to Oxnard and bought my Audi there. I'm a 29 year old woman, so I like to over prepare before going into the car shopping experience so I'm not an "easy target" as a young, female shopper. Call it what you will, but you lady car owners know what I'm talking about. When I went into the Santa Barbara Audi dealership, they were unwilling to estimate the value of my car or seriously talk numbers with me. They also kept trying to put me into a BMW for some reason, even though I indicated a strong preference toward the Audis. They ALSO gave me a quote and ran some financials on ... the wrong car model. By the time they ran the numbers on the RIGHT car, the estimate was outrageous (especially compared to the first quote). I'm not sure if they're confused about how reverse psychology works, were just trying to move certain inventory, or if the salesman truly didn't think I was worth his attention as a serious prospect, but there was very little by way of an apology or even concern about the mishap. Overall, the experience wasn't horrendous and no one was outright rude, but it was filled with that pervasive, subtle feeling of not being taken seriously. Even though I came prepared with questions and a willingness to dive into the details of the sale, the team took a very disinterested approach and almost outright said it wasn't worth my time being there. Toward the end of my conversation, I asked if they could search for the color combination I wanted at other dealerships since they had very little inventory and what type of negotiation I could expect. When their answer was, "no and basically none," I said thanks and promptly drove to the Oxnard Audi dealership (which by the way, was an AWESOME experience - highly recommended). As a request to dealerships and car salesmen: please don't tell me I can't negotiate the price just because you want to move the inventory off your lot and don't want to go that extra mile to ensure the customer is in the right car. And please don't tell me it's difficult to get luxury vehicles in Southern California or act like having a A3 Cabriolet is "rare." I know better. Please also know that when someone tells you they want to buy a new car ... they probably mean it. You lost a sale. read more
