    I love Audi. Their cars are my favorite. This dealership is also really good. I will continue coming back here. Every time I need help with my car I have always had good service here. The sales people are wonderful and so is the service department.

    I was a longtime customer of Audi San Diego, but unfortunately, they raised the prices of some of their services to the moon. Audi Escondido offered a synthetic oil change at a much better price. While there was some minor miscommunication as to when to bring the car in (scheduler told me I could bring it in Thursday afternoon & they'd provide Lyft home), that wasn't an option once I arrived, likely due to the low price point of the service. Fortunately, they were able to accommodate me while I waited, and fortunately I had the time to wait. They said the service would take about 1.5 hours, and that was roughly accurate. The dealership is clean and modern. They have a comfortable waiting area. One of the newer sales guys chatted with me for a bit, and he seemed like a good guy. They also have pretty decent snacks in the waiting area. Overall, my experience with Audi Escondido was very good. Their pricing was good (granted, it's a minor maintenance), they accommodated me, despite a minor scheduling miscommunication, and they did a complementary wash, with tire dressing, that exceeded my expectations.

    There's only 2 Audi dealerships in SD, Audi San Diego and Audi Escondido. Helping purchase a new Audi from here, this was my first time coming here and contacting this Audi dealership. This location had the exact model and color that we were interested in. After what seemed like 100 phone calls back and forth, negotiating, videos of the car and details, we drove down to take a look. Confirming this was exactly what was wanted, the purchase was made. Todd, Tim, Bianca and Guy, you were all awesome. Thank you guys for making this an easy experience.

    Tl;dr - I have had two terrible experiences with Audi Escondido, one back in October 2021, and again today. Especially if you are affiliated with the military I would not come here to purchase a vehicle. Back in October, I reached out to purchase an RS Q8 for myself and completed a credit application and had productive conversations with Alex throughout the approval process. Then I get this weird message from a rando on LinkedIn asking about my application to purchase an Audi. Immediately I reach out to Alex at Audi who says my app triggered fraud flags so they gave my information to this rando to try to confirm my identity, see screenshot. No heads up, or even an offer to come into the dealership to complete the purchase instead they hand off my info. I reach out to Matt Crandall the GM who tried to explain this away, but the damage was done. Shaken and concerned about identity theft, I purchase a vehicle the next day from a different dealership that treats me like family. Fast forward - husband is deployed and he wants to trade in a vehicle for an Audi EV. The exact one he wants, color and everything is at Audi Escondido...surely they can't be bad twice? He hits a port completes the financing app and Alex (again) texts him and they worked everything through to approval. With financing in place, he lets Alex know he's deployed and that serving as his power of attorney (POA), I would be making the trade, executing the agreement on his behalf and taking possession. I arrive with said notarized POA documentation and Eddie tells me that sure I can buy it, but they will KEEP the car until they are able to see my husband on zoom to confirm he is ok with the purchase. That's not how that works...he's deployed, that's no longer a possibility hence why military personnel have legally designated representatives with POA to take care of their affairs when they are...deployed. I ask for this policy - no policy; I ask for the GM - it's his day off but Eddie assures me his GM told him that. I leave and go to Audi San Diego explained my experience at Escondido and they were DUMBFOUNDED, the collective WTF face would have been hilarious if I wasn't so irritated. In order to complete a purchase with a POA, the dealership simply must submit the POA with the completed finance application to the bank. That's it. How do I know? Because I've purchased two vehicles and a house in my 18 years as my husbands POA when he's deployed - and just did it again today. Audi Escondido's loss is Audi of Mission Viejo's gain - I purchased a vehicle with the POA a day later.

    We had placed an order for a Tesla Model Y, however, the delivery date kept on extending (from 4-6 weeks to 10-14 weeks). I was already without a vehicle for over a month so we decide to check out the our other options. A close friend of mine love his Audi so I thought I'd give it a try. I reached out on their website to see if I could test drive the Q3 or Q5 since they're running a finance special on both. My husband is pretty tall so I wanted to make sure he has enough room. Chris E. schedule an appointment with us on Saturday morning. He showed us the Q3 first and it was just a bit too small for us. Then we test drove the Q5. Let me tell you, this car (in dynamic mode) drives like a sports car. It's like I have the best of both worlds...family car and sports car combined. My last car that I loved driving was an Acura RSX that I owned for over 11 years. The Q5 reminds me of that without the crappy stiff suspension that Acura has. Anyway, I digress. Back to the review... I had a budget in mind and Chris worked with me and found me a Q5 that worked perfectly in our budget. As luck would have it, as we're waiting on my new Q5, my husband saw the Challenger that he had been interested in. They took a test drive and he ended up liking the vehicle. He purchased it much to my dismay. He had Chris worked the numbers and traded our truck in. Chris got all the information that late Saturday afternoon. By Sunday morning, we were back there, signing papers for the Challenger. They made it super easy for us. Chris took the time to show me how to work the Q5 and helped me get all signed up for the MyAudi app. Zero pressure. Very professional and friendly. The finance guy is hilarious. Love his dry sense of humor. I haven't had any dealings with service dept yet but will report back. That aside, I will definitely consider coming back in the future.

Clearly someone needs to be in charge of greeting customers as they pull into the drive and wait to be assisted. Unfortunately, not one person made eye contact or even acknowledged that I was there. It's awkward just standing there feeling ignored while waiting for help. The valet guys were mostly standing around looking at their phones. A simple "Hello, someone will be right with you" would have gone a long way. Once I was finally assisted, the staff was great and very professional, so this really comes down to first impressions. Customer service starts the moment a customer arrives. Hiring a greeter -- or simply encouraging staff to acknowledge customers and SMILE -- would make a huge difference.

The sales process was incredibly smooth--no pressure, the paperwork was efficient, and the staff at the Dan Way location were professional and welcoming. However, the "after-care" has been a different story. Shortly after the purchase, a mechanical issue arose that was clearly covered under the 30-day limited warranty. While I expected a quick fix, the service department has made it incredibly difficult to actually get the car in. When there the team could not diagnose the issue and asked to have me return if the issue persists. However; The Challenges: * Scheduling: Trying to get an appointment was a headache. I was told they were "extremely busy" and couldn't see the car for over a week, despite it being a warranty issue on a car they just sold me. * Resolution: While the issue is technically "covered," the hurdle of getting it diagnosed and repaired has turned an "easy" buying experience into a stressful ownership experience. I love the Lexus, but the service side of this CarMax needs a major overhaul in terms of accessibility and customer support. If you buy here, just be prepared for a potential fight if anything goes wrong during your warranty period

Apparently the dealership the car was transferring from messed up and they didn't have the car I ordered. The manager at Escondido wouldn't accept this and had them ship the only car they had in the same color combo, which was the hybrid premium version of what I bought and THEY HONORED THE ORIGINAL PRICE. Yep. They knocked a ton off msrp to make sure I still got it for what I asked. I hadn't even signed paperwork yet and they did this on their own before they even called me. I've had a rough year and this was probably the coolest thing that had happened to me in years. They took a massive hit because it was the right thing to do. Never been to a dealership that would do that. I only lease my cars and I can say I'll never set foot in another dealership again. This is the best and the reason why their reviews are so good.
