I'm leaving this review strictly for the service department, because the sales side is the worst, and I will never buy another car from Audi Escondido again. That said, Greg in service deserves recognition. He is thorough, attentive, and genuinely cares about the condition of your vehicle. I appreciate that they send a detailed video inspection, explaining exactly what they're going to do. Greg also took the initiative to have my car washed without me even asking -- a small gesture that shows how much he pays attention to detail. Thank you, Greg, for making sure my car received a full electrical check and for providing the level of service the sales department fails to match. read more

The sales and leasing team at Audi Escondido exceeded all my expectations. I had been to two other Audi dealerships in the San Diego area and left them feeling unenthusiastic about buying an Audi. That completely changed from the moment I walked into Audi Escondido. The approach was low pressure and high service. At every step, the focus was on finding the car that would best meet my needs and a sincere effort to offer me the best deal possible. Jeff Hernandez didn't hesitate to allow me to test drive the cars for maximum performance and handling. Brandon Schulze worked with me to thoroughly review all lease and finance options. He patiently answered every one of my questions, without ever making me feel rushed, and spent good time optimizing the deal to my satisfaction. The financial transparency and disclosure was unparalleled - exactly as it should be, and what I expect when buying a car, but very hard to come by at most other dealerships. I can't say enough about this aspect of the process. At Audi Escondido they understand that being "on the customer's side" is the best formula for winning loyalty and a stellar reputation. And who sets the tone for his team and for all of this to be as it is? General Manager, Dhruv Barot. I sincerely appreciated the trust he places in his team to do what's required to deliver the best possible service and "can't refuse" offers for their customers. It's what they did for me. If you're in the market for an Audi, there's no other dealership you should go to. And if you think you're in the market for another competing brand of vehicle, you should still go to Audi Escondido to have your mind changed. You won't be disappointed! 6 stars!! Thank you Audi Escondido!!! read more

I have been taking my 2022 Audi Q7 here for 10 months for repair. It has been there for 2 months solid and they could not repair the car. I picked it up for a weekend out of town to avoid their travel fees. When I returned I received a call from the general manager stating I should take my car to a different dealership. Stay clear of this place. They will sit on your car and feed you a BS story's they are waiting for a TSM to come out. I don't trust this shop to tune a rake. If you have electrical problems with your car, start calling VW and Audi Corp asap. They will offer you money or repurchase if it's a certified pre owned or new purchase. Thank you for the automated answer Dhruv. But you are the one that called me and told me to take my car to another dealership because you couldn't repair it. Quality general manager. We can't fix it. Take it somewhere else. Noted. read more

Audi Escondido - My 2022 Audi Q7 at its second home. The horrible Audi Escondido. - Car Dealers Near Me - Escondido, California

Wow I should have read these reviews before even calling this dealership. Beware! Proceed with caution. They'll try to bait and switch. I wanted to put a deposit on the new 2026 Q3s coming out and am set on a SPECIFIC color combination. Cody had me fill out an application. He said the Q3 I wanted is assigned to a dealership in San Jose and he would get it for me since they were both Penske owned. I was ready to put a deposit on it. Three days of texting Cody went by asking him why the hold up? He said they were "working on it." On Monday, Jeff calls me so I gave him an earful. I told him I've wasted three days waiting to hear from Cody if he will be able to get me the exact Q3 I wanted which he would need to do a dealer trade. It seemed like Cody had been stringing me along. He could've just said that the San Jose dealership won't give it up and I would've been fine with that. Instead, Jeff informs me that there will NOT be any lease incentives on the new Q3s and the lease will be $850 a month. Then (here it comes:) he tells me they have a white Q5 with beige interior in their dealership right now and that would fit my needs better and have a lower monthly payment. Ok first off, when did I EVER say I wanted a WHITE vehicle let alone a Q5? Furthermore, how do they know that there won't be a lease incentive when the Q3s have not been released yet? Other dealerships have said that the lease incentives won't come out until the Q3s are released. This is where it gets worse: In the middle of our conversation, here comes his GENERAL MANAGER, Druvh Barot and interrupts our conversation. He has NO IDEA why I'm even buying a vehicle nor anything about me the customer! He argued that a Q5 is a better option otherwise I'll be paying $850 a month lease for the Q3. Make it make sense. At this point my patience ran thin and I told him he was getting a bad review for trying to bait and switch a potential customer. He even argued how could I give them a bad review if I hadn't purchased a car from them yet? This is almost laughable at this point. I am telling all my friends and neighbors to beware of these guys. They sound desperate to dump their Q5 inventory not even knowing the needs of customers. Sales 101: Find out WHY I'm buying right now. I appreciate the hustle but your sales tactics don't work on real sales people. read more

So I was actually quite surprised to see Audi of Escondido added an additional $431.00 to the settlement turn in invoice for a lease return. I was fully aware of the $495 disposition fee which I planned on paying. I am aware that the items I can get charged for are the wear & tear of the vehicle & mileage. The brake pads were in fine condition per the most recent vehicle inspection report from their service department and I replaced two of the worn tires I was advised to replace by your service department prior to my turn in date. In conjunction I even turned in the 2022 Audi with 31,293 miles, 4,707 miles less than my lease agreement. I also had the car detailed prior to turning it in. Some background, my 2022 Audi Q5 was a lemon, I have been in and out of service for the last eight months of my lease for a number of different service issues. One time I had to be towed because the car became unoperational. Also just so you are aware this is my second Audi. My first one was a used 2013 from Hoehn Audi, that I gave to my daughter for college. That one ran great all the way to 125,000 miles which is normal. The sales manager responded to my inquiry on the additional fees added, "that if I had renewed my lease with another Audi with them this would not be happening". So in essence I got penalized for not renewing a new lease with Audi of Escondido. I will never lease or buy an Audi from this dealership, I recommend you don't as well. read more

I'd like thank the Greg and his team in the Service department at Audi Escondido for quickly taking in my newly purchased Audi q5 which I had purchased two hours prior from Fletcher Jones in Costa Mesa. Seems the 'pre inspected vehicle' 2 year old luxury vehicle they sold me didn't have enough gusto to even get me home. Was attached by warning lights and sounds 2 hours after leaving Costa Mesa on my way home. Called Costa Mesa to ask for advise and was told to drive straight to Escondido and the service crew there would be waiting for me which they were. Got a loaner and returned the next day to pick it up. They said the warnings were prompted due to low coolant fluids? After leaving the lot I drove it 10 miles and a new yellow engine warning light lit up. I'm sitting here now at home two days after buying a new car which can't be used and I'm pretty bummed about it but wanted to share the people aspect of this and let everyone know that Audi Escondido did right by me. The next question is what will Fletcher Jones do about the car they sold me that only made it two hours off the lot without even making it home to my house?? Can I evoke the lemon law and get a new car exchanged for my defective new car? The rating of this review is about the people and organization at Audi Escondido not the actual car. read more

Went in for another recall. I had another service manager (Shuck) this time, and I did not have a good experience. He had a chauvinistic attitude, was pushy and didn't listen to me when I told him that I had just had a service done at my mechanic (Pure Motorsport), and I did not want them to do the courtesy check. He looked right at me and disregarded what I said. I will not go back to this location next time. I would give one star but they did provide me with a loaner vehicle, as per company policy. read more

We purchased a Q5 hybrid from Audi Escondido in 2021, and it's been nothing but trouble. Shortly after purchase, the brakes squealed. Audi claimed it was just debris between the brake pad and rotor, not covered by warranty. We also paid for a service package that included tire rotations, but when my tires wore unevenly, I found out they never rotated them. After an accident, the body shop paid Audi to perform an alignment. However, when the car was returned, no alignment readings were provided. We replaced the tires the same month Audi supposedly did the alignment, and now, just 12,000 miles later, the tire shop says the car is out of alignment. The tire shoulders are completely worn down, suggesting the alignment was never done properly, and Audi couldn't even provide any details on the alignment readings that were never given upon completion. Now, Audi wants to charge us $300 for another alignment, blaming it on potholes! So, apparently, their alignment is so fragile it can't handle normal driving conditions. Additionally, this vehicle has had numerous recalls, and whenever I make an appointment, they never confirm. I end up showing up only to have to go home to get my charging cable because they didn't even bother to check the appointment details. The lack of transparency, poor service, and attempts to shift responsibility are unacceptable. This isn't the service I expect from a luxury brand. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. read more

I was a longtime customer of Audi San Diego, but unfortunately, they raised the prices of some of their services to the moon. Audi Escondido offered a synthetic oil change at a much better price. While there was some minor miscommunication as to when to bring the car in (scheduler told me I could bring it in Thursday afternoon & they'd provide Lyft home), that wasn't an option once I arrived, likely due to the low price point of the service. Fortunately, they were able to accommodate me while I waited, and fortunately I had the time to wait. They said the service would take about 1.5 hours, and that was roughly accurate. The dealership is clean and modern. They have a comfortable waiting area. One of the newer sales guys chatted with me for a bit, and he seemed like a good guy. They also have pretty decent snacks in the waiting area. Overall, my experience with Audi Escondido was very good. Their pricing was good (granted, it's a minor maintenance), they accommodated me, despite a minor scheduling miscommunication, and they did a complementary wash, with tire dressing, that exceeded my expectations. read more

Tl;dr - I have had two terrible experiences with Audi Escondido, one back in October 2021, and again today. Especially if you are affiliated with the military I would not come here to purchase a vehicle. Back in October, I reached out to purchase an RS Q8 for myself and completed a credit application and had productive conversations with Alex throughout the approval process. Then I get this weird message from a rando on LinkedIn asking about my application to purchase an Audi. Immediately I reach out to Alex at Audi who says my app triggered fraud flags so they gave my information to this rando to try to confirm my identity, see screenshot. No heads up, or even an offer to come into the dealership to complete the purchase instead they hand off my info. I reach out to Matt Crandall the GM who tried to explain this away, but the damage was done. Shaken and concerned about identity theft, I purchase a vehicle the next day from a different dealership that treats me like family. Fast forward - husband is deployed and he wants to trade in a vehicle for an Audi EV. The exact one he wants, color and everything is at Audi Escondido...surely they can't be bad twice? He hits a port completes the financing app and Alex (again) texts him and they worked everything through to approval. With financing in place, he lets Alex know he's deployed and that serving as his power of attorney (POA), I would be making the trade, executing the agreement on his behalf and taking possession. I arrive with said notarized POA documentation and Eddie tells me that sure I can buy it, but they will KEEP the car until they are able to see my husband on zoom to confirm he is ok with the purchase. That's not how that works...he's deployed, that's no longer a possibility hence why military personnel have legally designated representatives with POA to take care of their affairs when they are...deployed. I ask for this policy - no policy; I ask for the GM - it's his day off but Eddie assures me his GM told him that. I leave and go to Audi San Diego explained my experience at Escondido and they were DUMBFOUNDED, the collective WTF face would have been hilarious if I wasn't so irritated. In order to complete a purchase with a POA, the dealership simply must submit the POA with the completed finance application to the bank. That's it. How do I know? Because I've purchased two vehicles and a house in my 18 years as my husbands POA when he's deployed - and just did it again today. Audi Escondido's loss is Audi of Mission Viejo's gain - I purchased a vehicle with the POA a day later. read more

After having several really terrible experiences at Audi San Diego, a guy I met at a car wash told me to try Audi Escondido. I am very impressed with my experiences there so far. I was able to make an appointment in a very reasonable timeframe and they let me wait and work while the maintenance was performed. The desk staff are friendly and responsive. The waiting room had decent coffee and free snacks. They explained every thing to me and communicated clearly. I was in and out in a few hours. I was contemplating trading my Q3 for a Toyota since the service my husband has at his dealership is always top notch, but I'll be sticking with Audi Escondido since this place is great. Worth driving the few extra miles! Guy from the car wash, if you're reading this, thanks for the tip! read more

The dealership wanted to charge me $128 to replace wiper blades and adjust them. I asked them why it was so expensive to adjust a wiper blade because I honestly wondered as to why it would be such a high charge (some kind of calibration?) and was told that I should just take it somewhere else if I didn't like the price. I took it home. It was a single bolt and it took me two minutes. Also, every time I've gone in they try to charge me for something else that I don't need. The oil change was $175! They wanted to charge me an additional $200 dollars to check on fluids, and to change an air cabin filter etc. I just think that they are hoping that no one is smart enough to realize they're getting overcharged at this location. I will be taking my vehicle for service to this location in the future. read more

We had placed an order for a Tesla Model Y, however, the delivery date kept on extending (from 4-6 weeks to 10-14 weeks). I was already without a vehicle for over a month so we decide to check out the our other options. A close friend of mine love his Audi so I thought I'd give it a try. I reached out on their website to see if I could test drive the Q3 or Q5 since they're running a finance special on both. My husband is pretty tall so I wanted to make sure he has enough room. Chris E. schedule an appointment with us on Saturday morning. He showed us the Q3 first and it was just a bit too small for us. Then we test drove the Q5. Let me tell you, this car (in dynamic mode) drives like a sports car. It's like I have the best of both worlds...family car and sports car combined. My last car that I loved driving was an Acura RSX that I owned for over 11 years. The Q5 reminds me of that without the crappy stiff suspension that Acura has. Anyway, I digress. Back to the review... I had a budget in mind and Chris worked with me and found me a Q5 that worked perfectly in our budget. As luck would have it, as we're waiting on my new Q5, my husband saw the Challenger that he had been interested in. They took a test drive and he ended up liking the vehicle. He purchased it much to my dismay. He had Chris worked the numbers and traded our truck in. Chris got all the information that late Saturday afternoon. By Sunday morning, we were back there, signing papers for the Challenger. They made it super easy for us. Chris took the time to show me how to work the Q5 and helped me get all signed up for the MyAudi app. Zero pressure. Very professional and friendly. The finance guy is hilarious. Love his dry sense of humor. I haven't had any dealings with service dept yet but will report back. That aside, I will definitely consider coming back in the future. read more

I got my tires replaced here. When I had dropped the car off, I happened to find a coupon on the Audi Escondido website. The coupon listed the brand of tires that I purchased and thought I was good to go (also mentioned this to the rep that handled my paperwork when he called about the total price of the tire replacement). So, when I went to pick up my car, I showed them the coupon. Guy came back and said my tires don't apply based on the SKU number and showed me a printout that listed about two other brand tires, excluding the brand I bought. This differs from the coupon on their site. It was really weird how they couldn't honor the one on their site especially since that one is public facing. read more

1. Take your car to Safeview in Riverside if you have a problem the dealer can't figure out. I took my car to Audi Carlsbad and here. Paid for one hour diagnostic and neither could tell me what was wrong with my car. I had problems accelerating, especially when going up a hill and merging onto a freeway. The car would eventually get up to 80mph but it would jerk if I was heavy on the gas. There was no code that showed up. Problem began in February. It was May when I brought it to Escondido (took it to Carlsbad as soon as it happened). Told them I had a tune up in December and high pressure fuel pump done (at recommendation of Carlsbad which didn't fix problem, both performed elsewhere). So Audi takes off the spark plugs and coils replaced with their own. That doesn't fix. They test the high pressure fuel pump and it passes. They called their tech support which recommended me replacing it before they could do any further diagnosing (even though it passed). I declined because it would void warranty with other mechanic. When I picked my car up from Audi it was running even rougher. As I merged onto freeway the check engine light began flashing on and off. I called Tony and he said I'd need to bring the car back to recheck the spark plugs and coils. Eventually I got a cylinder 4 misfire. I took it to Safeview. They scanned it. Same codes came up that were on when I took it to Audi. High rail pressure. He replaced the sensor. I took it back a second time bc that didn't fix the problem completely. He diagnosed it further and fixed the problem. Ironically the same part he replaced, when I initially made my appointment with Tony I told him I think there's something wrong with that. He told me well in my professional opinion I've never seen anything go wrong with that. Blah blah blah. He didn't even check. I was upset nothing new was checked only the work that was previously done rechecked. He told me that my car had a lot of miles (about 122k) and that maybe I should get a new one. I'm sorry if my lil Nissan Sentra that I had before this went 200k plus miles, then this 45k Audi should go the same! It took almost 8 months for my car to finally get repaired and running back to its old self thanks to Safeview. I will only bring my car here for an oil change. read more

My experience with this dealership has been a nightmare since day 1. I am sitting here in Riverside at Walters Audi., Writing this review. I bought an Audi from the Escondido dealership and they lost my paperwork and I had to come back to finish. Then the spare key they gave me did not work so I went to the service center and they couldn't figure it out so I was given one key, so couple years later, I thought I'd give them another try, I made an appointment to change the oil, and they said they had no record of me, but the lady behind the counter said it was obviously my fault with a condescending attitude, and then the guy standing next to her working chimed in. So it was a tag team disrespect contest. Very disappointed. One month ago today, I dropped off my S5 for a $3,000 service. I made an appointment and my confirmation code was : X047FWW4ZH with service consultant Isabel Herrera. I showed up and nobody knew I had an appointment. Why even make an appointment? Why get a confirmation code and an email and text confirmations? A male manager said he'd talk with Issel and discuss why nobody knew about my appointment. Three days later, I picked up my car and Issel is there. She was a very nice lady but she explained that it's an 'auto-response' confirmation and she, herself, doesn't make the appointments.... but her name is auto-stamped on the confirmations. Basically, she said she had nothing to do with it. Get in my car and I can tell someone moved the seat... and someone attempted to wipe the inside of the windshield (and did a bad job). Frustrated with my experience here I departed from the parking lot. I'm almost home an hour later, and the sun is shining on my center console and I can see obvious cracks on both sides of my stick shift/consoleThe plastic is cracked in 3 places. I called Audi Escondido.... leave two messages on Issel's voicemail.... I never hear from Audi Escondido again. I'm very, very disappointed with my entire experience here. read more
