We developed a problem with a bad shimmy in our car returning from a trip to Charleston. The service department informed us that we had a bent rim and wanted to replace it with a new OME for $1200. We found a rim at a savage shop for $410. Before installing the replacement rim, we took the car to a tire shop to get new tires. There was nothing wrong with the original rim that was on the car. We had lost a weight that balanced the tire, causing the shimmy. We never returned to Audi in Columbia. read more

Long story short, after my warranty expired my car experienced a failure that required an expensive fix. This dealership's management and service department bent over backwards to help get my expired warranty to cover more than half of the expense. I brought in my 2023 Q4 eTron on August 22, 2024, for repairs to the rear camera and air conditioner. Shortly after, I received a video from your technician confirming that all repairs were completed, and the air conditioner was working properly. However, just a week later, on August 30, 2024, I had to return the vehicle after receiving an error message indicating that the air conditioner required servicing. I was assured by your team that the issue would be resolved by your eTron specialist. Over the next month, there was no communication to me as the customer and I had to personally initiate and I called weekly to check on the status of my vehicle, only to be repeatedly told that the problem remained undiagnosed, but there was a suspicion that the compressor was the issue. Today, on September 24, 2024, I was informed that a leak had been identified, but the source could not be located. I was further told that the freon had been topped off, and the vehicle was ready for pickup. I find this response unacceptable. If there is an unresolved leak, the vehicle is clearly not properly repaired. As a customer, it is unreasonable for me to pick up a vehicle that still has unresolved issues. When I voiced my concerns, both my service representative and the Service Manager, Wade Watson, informed me that after speaking with Audi, there was "nothing else" they could do. I requested details of these conversations, as I intend to escalate my concerns to Audi of America, accompanied by my service records and technician videos. I am dissatisfied with the service provided, and I do not feel confident in either your management or technical team's ability to resolve the issue. I hope this matter is addressed with the seriousness it deserves. I expect a vehicle that is fully repaired and safe to drive, and as a paying customer, I deserve better than being told that there's "nothing else" that can be done. Recently moved from California to South Carolina for work and I have had my heart set on a 2 door white Audi coup for awhile and when I found out this was the last one, I jumped on it. We arrived at the dealership and were at first passed over by a gentleman but were immediately then approached by Morgan who was super nice albeit young he was eager. We told them what we wanted to spend in cash and after speaking with the manager, I don't think they at first took us seriously because not many people let alone a woman and a black one wants to buy a car in cash but here I am. After a few back and forth I drove off in my car and have been happy every since. I have been back for a few detailings and Morgan has assisted me every single time with a smile. I don't live locally so I drove up one day and no one wanted to help me with my car being washed, they even turned me away because the time had passed but Morgan spotted me, came over and jumped right into detailing my car. My friend and I spoke to Jamie the dealer there, and accepted an offer he gave us on a vehicle there. We told him we were coming from Atlanta (4 hours away), so he said he would hold it for us and get the paperwork ready. Within an hour of being at the dealership, he texted to say he sold it. We were pissed and of course he claims he didn't know we were coming. But it doesn't end there. As we were driving back, he called again to say the deal fell through and said that if we came he PROMISED he would hold the car for us. So of course, being the naive people we were, we thought surely he wouldn't do this to us a second time.... A SECOND time, he told us as we were pulling up that he sold to someone else. As a lifetime Audi owner that moved to Columbia recently, I cannot express the level of incompetence at this dealership after taking my car there for service. In my entire life, this is Hands down the worse customer experience I have ever had. I left the dealership with more warning lights on than when I came in with, and Dee Dee with her pseudo foreign accent, gave me excuse after excuse. I ended up taking my car to Charlotte for repair, and an excellent experience. This location is as disappointing as the close to 10 other Audi dealerships I've dealt with through the US. Which is sad when you spent around $100k on a vehicle. Get the car plan because you will need it after your Audi looses it's mind when you are driving across country, and then it will take Audi 4 times to fix it. But be warned, it doesn't include tire rotations, breaks, or wiper blades. This past week I asked their service department about if my 1.5 year old vehicle had the Audi warranty on it because I didn't recall being offered it. He response was I can't take if it wasn't put into the system by an Audi USA partner. We had the vehicle custom built but Audi!!! Then when I asked her about pricing her answer was she didn't know and that most of her customers don't let their vehicle miles get to the end of the Audi care to utilized the warranty because their vehicle technology is outdated, including my vehicle. Really? Because nobody drives the vehicles after they hit 30k miles? Also if you are actually mechanically educated on the vehicle and ask specifics on the vehicle and what was done- 99% of the time they will say it needed a software patch. See Audi doesn't do actual full software updates, they do patches to only areas that are having issues or a recall. Not even 24 hours after they did the latest camera patch update, I had to call back to get the vehicle back in the shop as they screwed it up again. I got the vehicle back in and they claimed they couldn't see anything but claimed Audi knew about it and was working on a fix. So then less than 2 days after having it in the shop again, the vehicle locked up on me in the middle of an intersection claiming I was about to jot something, the radio stopped working, and the one steering wheel button stopped working. I called the dealership 3 times as I never got a call back after leaving a message each time to only be told they vehicle collision issue was another known issue and that supposedly the '19's fixed this issue and they weren't sure if there was going to be a patch for the '17 & '18 models. The issues they couldn't resolve before I moved cross country. So I called Audi USA to complain, and have them investigate, and the rep just said sorry we will document it, that's it. Was informed an extra key would be issued, which never occurred and after weeks of trying still zero follow up. In addition, 30 day tag issued and was assured new tag would be ready for pick up at local dmv due to being out of state purchase. However when I arrived to pick it up, dealership dropped the ball and sent nothing for processing. Now I have to park my new car with zero transportation until this is corrected... I took it back to them, realizing that I was upside down, but imagine my surprise when I was $14k upside down. I did not have a trade in that I owed money on. This was an outright purchase. Very Unsatisfied customer. I would give 0 stars if I could. I got a diagnostic test done here for my Q5 because it had a small leak and they said test came back confirming the leak was coming from the water pump and seals only. Granted, this suv NEVER ran hot on me. So they replaced the water pump for $1100. They also said one of the fans wasn't working properly and gave me an estimate of $1300 to fix and I declined. I went to pick it up, not only the car wouldn't start but NO COOLANT was in the car. I found out later one of the mechanics drove my car on a test run & ran it ran hot 3 times according to the girl at the service desk. So I spoke with the GM and he cane to my suv and said" no worries he will take care of it and to trust him". Days go by and all they did was made it start up and put antifreeze in it and then they told me now it needs a HEAD REPLACEMENT $2500 job. They tried to blame it on me but I told them when I drove the car in here all it had was a small leak, it NEVER overheated on me and if I damaged the heads why did they initially tell me it's the water pump. A bunch of CRAP!! I Left several messages and the GM never returned my calls and service manager refused to fix the mess they created so I had to get it TOWED to another shop where the mechanic confirmed this dealership messed up my car. Can't go back for service here. Can't trust them. Brought Audi in to get an oil change, tire rotation/balance, fuel filter, and our AC fixed out of warranty (fan just stopped working?). Got call from manager personally and he texted me and said it would be one price. Went to pick up car, it was almost twice as much!! And our service request somehow translated into an additional "95k mile inspection" which we never approved? Manager basically argued with me and said I misunderstood what he told me personally on phone and what he texted me and said that my wife approved the service inspection and that he overheard her talking to service assistant?
