Took my Mercedes there twice for repairs. Once when it was bogged down in some mud after a fierce rain storm and when I got it back from Phillips Auto Tech, the car was still covered in mud from hood to tires and they didn't even bother to wash or vacuum the car. The next time I took it to be repaired was as a result of a "wheel censor" malfunction which caused the car to not operate at all. It cut off and wouldn't start. I had the vehicle towed to the shop and received a call that the part needed to make the repair was being ordered from the Mercedes dealership (not them ordering the part themselves from a shop but getting it from a local Mercedes dealership) and as a woman, I took what they said to heart and asked that I be called when the repairs were done. Received a call from the shop saying the part was not in but they would call me when it was. 2 weeks later the call came. I then asked them for a courtesy ride to come and pick up my car. Justin said they didn't have anyone available at the time. I said I would call back in a couple of days. Still the same answer. Finally got a relative to take me there to pick up my car. Phillips Auto Tech was closed because there was a snow storm a few days earlier. I had to leave without my car. Came back the next day and spoke with Nicole about how disappointed I was with not getting a courtesy ride to pick up my car and she said: "we don't give courtesy rides after 12noon because my guys have to wash cars and pick up parts". So which is it, "you don't have anyone available to give a courtesy or you don't give rides after 12noon? I said to myself, "you guys have never washed my car and you could have had one of "your guys" pick me up when they went out to the Mercedes dealership to get a part for my car that they didn't order themselves off the internet. I am sure I was charged triple what the part cost but in mid-sentence of me telling her that I was extremely disappointed with the treatment I received, Nicole turned and walked away and never looked back or acknowledged my presence in her shop. She is nasty and rude and she teaches her staff to be the same way. And I said to myself, because no one was listening at the time, that they have enough money to pay Dawndy Mercer Plank and her husband to do commercials to tout their experience for working on high end cars but I could get a ride to the shop to pick up my $2,700 plus "repaired" car from their shop. What's wrong with that picture? I will never take my car there again for anything. Oh, and by the way, the main reason I took my car in for repairs at Phillip Auto Tech was because the "wheel censor" light was flashing on my dashboard and even after paying $2,700 plus dollars for the "repairs", the light it still lit. Justin, the shop manager, told me, after I brought it to his attention (not the other way around), that I would need to take the car to a tire shop because they don't work on tires. Wait a minute. You charged me $2,700 plus for repairs that didn't include replacing my "wheel censor?". What's wrong with that picture? Never take your car to Phillips Auto Tech on Two Notch Road in Columbia, South Carolina. They are rude, nasty, and very expensive and Nicole, the co-owner, is super rude! I have written the BBB about this business because I believe that I was ripped off big time!!! P. S. And they tried to get smart with my by telling me that they thought it was best that we no longer have a working relationship because I was not pleased with their workmanship, so they want it to seem like they broke off the relationship with me but I told them in my last conversation with them, that I would never use them again.
