This place has really gone downhill since Herb sold up. Last time I came in to pick up my car, I was in a hurry, but it took them so long to locate my key that I missed my following appointment for a state inspection. They used to do state inspections, but no longer. It often takes a longer than reasonable time to get attention from an employee on site, and the phone system is so dysfunctional that I often had to call in 7-10 times just to reach a live person in any department, let alone the service department. The worst part is I requested a full interior detailing, which was priced at $200. I was told the interior would be deep cleaned, but when I got the car back, there was obvious dirt still visible on the steering wheel (so thick I could feel it), door handles, control knobs, and instrument cluster. I requested a manager (Ernest) who offered to have the job redone, but when I picked the car up the day after, it was only marginally better, and there was still dirt visible on the airbag logo, paddle shifters, door handle, and a strange sticky substance on the turn signal lever that had not been there before. Overall, the job was sub-par and in no way reflects the service I've come to expect from an Audi dealership or anything associated with Herb Chambers. I do not recommend this dealership at all. I was not treated like a valued customer, the detailing was slovenly and incomplete, and the price are outrageous for such sloppy work. I can go to my local car wash and get as good a job done for a fraction of the cost in about 15 minutes. read more

I don't know if it's the Herb Chambers culture or just Audi brookline, but this place really screwed me on my last lease, and treated me like disposable trash when I came back looking around for another possible car. Their pricing is sky high compared to other area dealers and they're not friendly at all. Go to Natick Audi (Bernardi) or maybe Burlington (also Herb Chambers).. but this place does not treat you right, they treat you like a wallet to be pried open and little else. Clear questions went unanswered and they don't update their website promptly on inventory they've already sold for many (like 5?) days (unlike other dealers when the delay can be a day or so), making the search for a new car terrible. If you're a customer once, like me, you'll understand the mistake and not be back. I urge you to learn from my mistakes, this place doesn't deserve your time. read more

Awful Service - Avoid Audi Brookline at All Costs I purchased a 2016 BMW X1 from Audi Brookline a month ago, and my experience with their service department has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. After only two days of owning the car, I had to bring it back for a minor repair on the dashboard screen, which kept showing a warning about the e-brake. My father dropped the car off, expecting a quick fix, and we were told the repair would take a week at most. However, we heard absolutely nothing from the dealership for over a week. When I called, I was sent straight to voicemail, and when another family member called, they were told to call back the next day for an update. This continued for THREE weeks--three weeks of vague excuses and no clear communication. We were told the technician was sick or that they didn't have an update, or someone would call us back, but that never happened. Finally, after our third week of calling, we were told the car was ready for pickup. The day before, they had no information about the car's status, and suddenly, it was "fixed" within 24 hours. It was baffling and incredibly frustrating. I had asked multiple times, both by text and phone, for the car to be delivered to my home, given that it's an hour away and the service had been so poor. Instead, they gave my father a 24-hour window to pick up the car or risk being charged for the rental. There was no apology, no accommodation for our reasonable request. When my father finally drove an hour to pick up the car, we found that while the dashboard symbol had been resolved, the dealership had left pieces of the car disassembled in the backseat. After three weeks of waiting, they didn't even check to make sure the car was properly reassembled. This was unacceptable. Throughout this entire ordeal, the communication was horrendous. While Ahmed, the sales rep, did reach out to the service team to find out what was going on and informed me the car would be ready for pickup in the third week, when I messaged him about having the car delivered instead of picking it up, he never returned my message. He also didn't respond to my father's message about canceling the car sale due to the poor service and the inconvenience of driving an hour to pick up a car that wasn't properly reassembled. Brooke Murphy, who initially reached out to me about the sale, never responded to my emails regarding the repair issue. Once the sale was done, it seemed like no one at the dealership cared about providing any further service. To make matters worse, Patrick, the service manager, was impossible to get a hold of. Every time I called, I was sent straight to voicemail. This lack of accountability and communication is beyond frustrating, and it's clear that Audi Brookline only cares about making the sale, not about customer satisfaction. Service was horrible. We bought our first Audi here 5 years ago in 2020. Great experience then. They have gone downhill. This time around they didn't even try to sell the car. I asked if they could fix some scratches before we bought it and flat out refused. They said buy it as it is or don't. We really needed a car and it was in our budget so we accepted it as is. They took almost two weeks to get the car ready for pick up, inspections, plates and cleaning. By the time we picked up the car on a Monday after work at 7:30pm, they try to avoid a walkthrough..but I insisted. It looked dusty on the inside and they didn't address any of the scratches. But as soon as I drove off I noticed a nice size crack on the windshield, that wasn't there when we test drove it. I got a call a few weeks later asking if they could fix the windshield because we left a bad review on their Audi automatic review So we brought the car in on a Sunday and they took pictures and refused to help because we left a bad review. Do not come here their service is horrible. The general sales manager refused to help and wasted our time. They will also try and get everyone to add their car warranty and clear coat package adding tens of thousand on top of their marketed price. read more

The one and only thing that I asked them to do was not done which was put a working bulb over my license plate, which i then had to pay for. they never change the oil or informed me when to change it. i called and asked for this info which they didn't know. Working with Misha to purchase a used car was great. He genuinely listened to us, wasn't pushy, and didn't talk down to us. Their finance guy did try to upsell us, but working with Misha for the rest of the process was genuinely pleasant. Getting information out of the dealership in advance of the visit was not as great an experience. I never received the information from the car I'd asked from before taking a chance and just coming to the dealership. We did run into trouble claiming ownership of the car in the Tesla app, but the problem was more complex than it seemed and manager Kayla was fantastic as she worked with me to get through to Tesla and make sure all the required paperwork got where it needed to be. read more

I bought my first Audi at the dealership 3 years ago. 7 weeks ago I brought the car in for routine maintenance and tire replacement. End of day, I was notified by that my car had significant damage due to an accident by an employee on the dealership grounds. Body work was needed to repair the damage. For the past 7 weeks, i was given unreliable time line for when the car would be ready, no active updates unless I called the dealership, with reassurance it would be "beautiful work" done. Today, when I picked up my car, I was told by the service manager that my ask to not pay for service (yet pay for the tires) was unreasonable and they were not able to ".make this happen". I was charged for the work, and when I requested car records and the body work paperwork that was done, it was not available. (and it would be "sent" to me). In my own career as a nurse, customer service in care of my patients and families is a central focus and the core of each moment. the reaction I received this morning as well as service over this period shocked me, for a brand that consistently prides themselves on excellence. I am planning to change my place of service and not purchase an Audi again due to the misfortune and the lack of customer service/inability to take responsibility for the past 7 weeks. Will tell others too...Even when I verbalized to the manager my plans to change location of service, and how best to get records from brookline, there was no apology or attempt to maintain my service there. The service department is an epic disaster! They had my car for a month to replace the battery and alternator. Unless I chased them, I got no update and I don't think they worked on the car. The day I was supposed to pick it up, when confirming it was ready, I was told the car was completely disassembled including the trunk and rearend. Apparently replacing the alternator didn't fix the problem and they were back to not knowing the issue. Interesting that removing the entire rearend and trunk is required to replace an alternator. Spoiler alert: alternator is next to engine not in the rear of the car. Took them another week to replace the battery. Just to add icing to the disaster cake, after checking out, it took the service staff 40 minutes to bring the car around so that my husband could leave. Had a cracked rear tail light which was not working on my Audi Q5. Audi Brookline recommended that the job cost $1833 because the moisture corroded everything. I went to three local mechanics. All of them stated Audi was replacing way more parts than necessary and there was no major moisture issue. The final bill was $450. If I could give their service department 0 stars, I would. Over the last 2 years, I've had issues with them over oil in my engine. They did not correctly diagnose the issue (I know now) and charged me $900 to fix what they thought was the issue. I was still experiencing oil in the engine this year, and they charged me another $180 to diagnose the problem. Their new solution would have cost me $5K. An independent mechanic ultimately correctly and quickly identified the issue and I only had to pay $670 to fix it. There is no more oil in my engine. I tried engaging the Service Director but he said he would refer the issue to his legal team. In short, don't go here. Their technicians are unqualified and they try to scam you out of thousands of dollars. read more

Bought a used car at this dealership with 74k miles and am beside myself to say the least. The first night having the car, I noticed a lower headlight was out. When I received my tags/key, the backup key was wrapped in what I thought was "protective" plastic. I took off the plastic and the key fell apart. I kindly asked to get a new one ordered and they said yes but I had to go to Westborough Honda to get it cut and programmed. When I was at Westborough Honda for 2.5 hours (4 hrs. of my day with driving), I received an estimate of $2100.00+/- for what Honda of Westborough called "serious" issues with regards to oil leaks and engine gaskets. Now I had to set up an appointment to go back to Audi to get these repairs done and they provided me a loaner car a week later. I dropped my car off at 9:15 AM and I received a phone call at 12:30PM the same day stating, "There is nothing wrong with the car. No leaks. Gaskets are fine. You can come get your car." I find it hard to believe that Honda of Westborough found over 2k worth of repairs, yet the seller (Audi of Brookline) found nothing. When I came back to Audi to get my car the following morning at 7AM when they opened, I was told, "You can take it somewhere else for a second opinion". I'm Sorry, What? No courtesy vacuum. No wash. No, I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Then to top it off, When I was repositioning my floor mat on drivers' side, There is a 3 inch x 2 inch hole on the floor that was covered and tried to be hidden. Probably the worst service you can receive. This review pertains only to the salesman TYLER HOPKINS, AVOID AT ALL COST. They sell you a car and thats it. Any follow ups regarding reimbursements or issues or questions are blatantly ignored. Would recommend literally any other audi dealership than this. They demand a perfect score when the customer service rating is sent out but if your link is expired they refuse to send another survey. My friend bought a car here, the purchase process was fine but the afterwards was just horrendous. The car didn't come with an inspection sticker, which is fine, they promised to reimburse for that. They said since its a new car, the inspection sticker is not needed for the first 7 days. The process only took 4-6 weeks of them ignoring your calls and multiple trips in person to get anything done. On top of that, day 1, we got a parking ticket for the inspection sticker. they also promised to take care of a ticket as well, and it has been 3 months with 0 follow up, blatantly ignored texts and refusal to pick up the phone even when calling the general store to have the call transferred. Not sure how their herb chambers brand has stooped this low in the past year, but avoid at all cost. read more

Tyler the manager there is about as unprofessional as it gets. They tried to offer me about 7 grand less than my car was worth and yell at me and say I was passing up a great offer. He got heated on the phone because I was trying to have a conversation based on facts, and all he wanted to do was give me opinions and could not back one thing he said up. He almost even swore at me out of frustration but luckily caught himself, it was pretty funny. What a joke. I had multiple dealerships offer me way more, I gave them multiple comps of similar cars for sale and proved the value, and they wouldn't give me one reason they wouldn't come up in value on my car. They offered me $35k when kbb has it worth between $40k and $44k and told me it was a good offer. Work with a dealership who values the customer's time and their vehicle, not one that wants to try and scam you out of your car. No complaints on Manny the sales rep, kind of condescending "We're a business, we do what makes sense, you know what I mean" Yeah Manny, I do. They also said they charge a $550 delivery fee to deliver a car to NH, $550!!! Highway robbery for 2-3 hours worth of work. I have bought 5 cars in Mass and never once have I been charged a penny for a "Delivery Fee" let alone $150-$200/hour for some guy making $25 an hour to deliver the car to NH as the law states. Audi Brookline has a great service department. I've worked with Aramayis on multiple service appointments and warranty repairs and he has been outstanding. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to navigating service / repairs and has gone above and beyond to make sure my car is well cared for. They have also been timely and efficient in getting my car taken care of despite how busy they are. Beyond Aramayis, the entire Audi Brookline service team is very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. read more

Bought a used Toyota there. Not a great sales experience. Took them 2 weeks just to clear my check. Then 2 weeks later after I picked up the car, I realized there was a lug nut missing from 1 of the wheels. On further inspection, turns out there was a lug missing from all 4 wheels! Xavier Pena, the salesman, wouldn't return my calls or text. When I contacted Luis Rodriguez, the service manager, he said "that's weird ", but he wouldn't do anything unless the sales manager approved it. I gave up trying to reach them and bought the missing lugs myself. The strange thing is this stealership claimed they replaced the tires and the brakes. What technician would remove then put back on 4 wheels with a missing lug on each wheel? Isn't that a safety hazard? Plus the spare tire was flat. They didn't even check it before they shoved this used car out the door. What else did they not do? Just a bad case of take the money and run. And I'm sure it's their Standard Operating Procedure. Could never recommend a place like this. And I will never go back. I'm going to complain to Audi NA that Brookline AUDI is knowingly and deliberately screwing people. read more

I'm on my 3rd Audi. First 2 purchased in NJ, where the experience was incredibly luxurious. My 3rd (and last) Audi was purchased in Brookline. Two things went wrong. First, the sales guy was a chauvinist and looking for my "husband" to finalize the deal. He was sleazy and in my opinion lowers the Audi brand value. Second, there are no loaners available when you need your vehicle serviced. The service department people are great but they don't have loaners. You can call 1 week ahead or 2 or a full month, there's no loaners. While I've loved the Audi brand, Brookline Audi lowered its value and I'm off to BMW. read more

We met Tyler Hopkins, a classic sales "Jerkialist". I am not an Audi fan, so I don't know much about Audi. However, my girl decided to buy Audi because of her parents' suggestion and sponsorship. W We came here to ask for recommendations and a quote of Q3. Tyler brought us out and pointed at a Vehicle then said "well, this is Q3." That's it! He did not even let us open the door to look inside. More importantly, he gave us a quote of 440k while we got another quote of 410k for the same Q3 at another Audi. I get it now! My outfit that day might not meet Tyler's expectation. I should wear my Gucci shoes and Versace shirts with a golden watch on my wrist. There is no need to kick us out like that. Scheduled an appointment and my brought my car in. They didn't have the part. Fine by me, let's reschedule. No apology. We rescheduled, I called to confirm the part. They said they had the part. Didn't have the part. Third time they finally completed the service. Called to make an appointment for an oil leak to be repaired. They said "if you don't need a loner bring it in at 9:30 and at some point during the day we'll take a look and let you know what's going on." I agreed and brought my car in. They just told me that they wouldn't be able to look at it for 2 days because they were too busy. Which is fine, but it doesn't even remotely match what I was told on the phone. When I told the service associate that he couldn't have seemed to care less. I'm not going back it's just a colossal headache. read more

I've been to all the dealerships locally, this one prompted me to never go to one again. The only positive is the loaner vehicle was nice, otherwise I had to bring it back with the tank full (they reminded me several times to do so) but I realized too late the tank was not full when I received it. It was 3/4 full. Anyway, whatever. $900 later for an oil change and tire alignment there's no "thank you for coming in and have a good day" just handed me my keys and didn't even look at me, say anything at ALL or even acknowledge anything they did to the car or explain the issues they found in person but texted me about with the automated platform. Not only that, I had to remind them and fix the amount they charged me several times because they had a special online. They suggested I fix a gasket, change my brakes and get new tires for a grand total of $5k, yeah, not happening but thanks! Also wanted to note Audi Shrewsbury (probably the better of the dealerships) would actually clean my car inside and out even for simple oil changes. For $900 for an oil change and 5 mins of alignment that would have been nice. I found a better local place where they don't treat me like dumb trash so I have this place to thank for that! read more
