    Awful Service - Avoid Audi Brookline at All Costs I purchased a 2016 BMW X1 from Audi Brookline a month ago, and my experience with their service department has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. After only two days of owning the car, I had to bring it back for a minor repair on the dashboard screen, which kept showing a warning about the e-brake. My father dropped the car off, expecting a quick fix, and we were told the repair would take a week at most. However, we heard absolutely nothing from the dealership for over a week. When I called, I was sent straight to voicemail, and when another family member called, they were told to call back the next day for an update. This continued for THREE weeks--three weeks of vague excuses and no clear communication. We were told the technician was sick or that they didn't have an update, or someone would call us back, but that never happened. Finally, after our third week of calling, we were told the car was ready for pickup. The day before, they had no information about the car's status, and suddenly, it was "fixed" within 24 hours. It was baffling and incredibly frustrating. I had asked multiple times, both by text and phone, for the car to be delivered to my home, given that it's an hour away and the service had been so poor. Instead, they gave my father a 24-hour window to pick up the car or risk being charged for the rental. There was no apology, no accommodation for our reasonable request. When my father finally drove an hour to pick up the car, we found that while the dashboard symbol had been resolved, the dealership had left pieces of the car disassembled in the backseat. After three weeks of waiting, they didn't even check to make sure the car was properly reassembled. This was unacceptable. Throughout this entire ordeal, the communication was horrendous. While Ahmed, the sales rep, did reach out to the service team to find out what was going on and informed me the car would be ready for pickup in the third week, when I messaged him about having the car delivered instead of picking it up, he never returned my message. He also didn't respond to my father's message about canceling the car sale due to the poor service and the inconvenience of driving an hour to pick up a car that wasn't properly reassembled. Brooke Murphy, who initially reached out to me about the sale, never responded to my emails regarding the repair issue. Once the sale was done, it seemed like no one at the dealership cared about providing any further service. To make matters worse, Patrick, the service manager, was impossible to get a hold of. Every time I called, I was sent straight to voicemail. This lack of accountability and communication is beyond frustrating, and it's clear that Audi Brookline only cares about making the sale, not about customer satisfaction. Audi Brookline's service has been a complete disaster, and I will never recommend them to anyone. I'm warning others to stay away from this dealership--don't make the same mistake we did.

Since purchase, the vehicle has been back to the service department about eight times and has been out of my possession for more than 199 total days. I was repeatedly told delays were due to staffing shortages, but the problems were never fully resolved. The most troubling part was the ongoing antifreeze and oil leaks, along with antifreeze odor and fumes entering the cabin, which began to make me feel ill and raised serious safety concerns for me. When I asked the dealership to take responsibility and take the vehicle back, they refused. Rather than working toward a fair solution, the matter was turned over to an attorney, which I found intimidating and very disappointing. I expected far better from a dealership selling vehicles to the public. Based on my experience, I would strongly urge others to use extreme caution before doing business here.

Breathtaking. The repairs took 6 1/2 hours by one technician (verified by the service manager), and I was billed for 13 at $229/hr (!) for a grand total of $2,975. I had the following repairs: two new 12V batteries, a software update, a coolant flush, and fluid exchanges in the front / rear differentials and transfer case. This work was approved at 8am on a Wednesday and the vehicle was washed and ready by 3pm. When I complained to the manager that I was billed for double the amount of time that the repairs actually took, I was told these bill out at the average time it takes a technician to complete a repair. There were hourly amounts were included in the estimate, but I took it to be just that -- an estimate. However, when scrutinizing the bill, each item was billed out at a boolean hourly quality (1.0, 2.0, 5.0, etc) even if each item took 10 min, or 65 min, or whatever partial hour increments were allotted. In totality, I am simply astonished. This feels incredibly dishonest and by all accounts appears to be padding the bill. Apparently, this mechanic bills out at $500 an hour, which leaves me wondering which law school he went to. This is absurd. I would not recommend Herb Chambers BMW for car repairs, as I feel that their business practices are not honest or honorable.

Once you purchase the car, don't fall for the extended warranty scam, because it def won't cover the existing issue that they hid from you.     I own a 2022 Polestar 2, and my service experience began in late April of 2026 when Polestar…read morecorporate pushed an over-the-air software update to my vehicle, which ended up bricking the vehicle's software/computer system while it was parked in my garage. The alarm went off. The trunk opened itself. The 12 volt battery depleted itself flashing various lights and warnings -- in short, the update fried my car's brain, and it became absolutely inoperable through the direct action of the manufacturer. Total system failure. I had to have it forcibly dragged by winch out of my garage and taken to Polestar Boston on a flatbed. The next day I received a call from someone confirming the car was there and asking why it was there, even though I had delivered all those details the day before by telephone to the dealer and to Polestar corporate and to the towing company and to the roadside assistance company. OK, they don't talk to each other, fine. Then nothing for several days -- no update, no diagnosis, nothing at all until text from someone who said he will know shortly what is wrong. Then nothing again for multiple additional days. I text the number asking for information and get no response. Finally, I call and they tell me that person doesn't even work there anymore and nobody had thought to tell me. They still don't tell me what's wrong with the car or when it will be fixed. At the two week mark, I finally get someone on the phone who says the car is finished. Still nobody has explained to me what service was performed or to explain what went wrong. The person I talk with this time says, straight out, that they know their service operation is a nightmare. Two points for honesty. I thank him for being the best part of a bad experience, and Polestar gets credit for sending a driver to deliver my car to my home and for not charging me for Polestar wrecking my car. Minus a couple points for not offering a loaner or even giving a crap how I would get around while they treated my car as a "we'll get around to it" level priority. When they delivered the vehicle, they assured me the car was 100 percent operational, all systems good. Says so on the receipt. Three weeks later, I walked in to my garage to discover the car is dead again. Same flashing lights. Same system failure. And now Polestar Boston and Polestar corporate say I am on my own. They will not stand behind the car or the repair. It is on me to pay $500 to flatbed my car for a second time to them, presumably so they can charge me to fix what wasn't fixed right the first time. Did the 12 volt battery die? It's possible. But if it did, it's the same 12 volt battery Polestar knew had drained out during the first episode and put BACK IN MY VEHICLE instead of replacing it. What is the lesson here? Don't buy a Polestar. It's buggy, and the manufacturer does not stand behind the product. Even if you own a Polestar, don't go to Polestar Boston -- by their own admission, their service experience is awful. I write this knowing I still may have to take my car there because it's my only choice within 200 miles, but right is right. And they should not get to treat people this way without anyone saying so. Oh, and they have the nerve to give you a receipt that says something about how truly exceptional service is the only passing grade at their dealership. Truly bad service would have been an upgrade from what they gave me. Don't expect any better for yourself.
