Once you purchase the car, don't fall for the extended warranty scam, because it def won't cover the existing issue that they hid from you. They'll send you to a shop in Waltham that specializes in foreign cars... Only to pay $200 for them to diagnose an issue that the seller already hid from you, and to inform you that the extended warranty doesn't cover it. This place is a circle jerk. Their only remedy to my complaint was to trade the car in later on, but why would I continue doing business with a dealership that has already lied to my face and wasted my time and money? They quickly jacked the price up on a 2019 Tesla Long Range they have for sale. It was originally posted on their website at $35,995. It's still the same price on on their preferred financing site, as seen here. They called me after I made a appointment to see the vehicle to tell me they received 25+ inquiries since. They told me they made a mistake while advertising the price and it's actually $39,995. Obviously, this call was a product of greed and no mistake was made. I obviously objected to this and they told me they will do what they want. The reason the price of this vehicle was where it was at is it has a tow away accident on the Carfax report. Please check the report carefully before you purchase this vehicle. I'm not sure if it's illegal to "bait and switch" in Massachusetts and I'm not going to bother looking into it. I'm glad they called me to inform me they are greedy scumbags and they didn't receive my business. However, I will be informing Capital One that they are using their platform to false advertise. This was my first time buying from a used car dealership (prior buying direct from new car dealerships) and it was an excellent experience from the start! First, the cars are fairly priced (so no awkward haggling to get to the fair price). They are knowledgable about the types of cars they sell (which is a wide range)! They communicate on each step (from the timeline to the process to register the car), and they deliver what they say they will do. I would highly recommend to anyone buying a car to see this team 1st! The car I purchased had only 100 miles, so like NEW. I also felt that every person who worked in the office was a team, they all put customers first and made the process very positive (which generally is not the case in buying a car). After an email exchange, when they discovered that i hadn't driven the car before and was trying to determine whether or not I was interested in the car they told me they don't do test drives. They told me to go to a porsche dealer, test drive a car and if I liked it to come back to them. Basically they were saying- you spend all your time figuring out if you like the car and then we will sell it to you if you do- but don't dare waste our time figuring out if you like it. When I showed up, the car was blocked so it wasn't ready to go right away so I had to wait. After waiting about 15 minutes, the salesperson said that I could only take it around the block (no longer than 5 minutes) as they were trying to limit the people test driving due to Covid. Come to find out, the vehicle had a branded title after the "recall" was done. It says this in the carfax, and that is why he removed pages. I recently bought a BMW 528i xdrive from these guys. Before buying the vehicle I asked Wesley if it was in perfect condition. We took it out for a test drive and everything seemed to ran smooth. Long story short we closed on the deal and there I had my BMW. It's not until I drove off their lot when the service light came on and the message read service due since 12/16. I decided to take advantage of the warranty that came with the car and made an appointment to bring it in to BMW herb chambers Allston. My vehicle was serviced and the light was turned off however, it was found out that one of the tires was worn out. I called Wesley and shared the news. I later decided to stop by Boston Foreign Motor to try and resolve the issue because I had only had the car for a week. I was given a hard time by Bobby and he tried to suggest that the tire didn't need immediate attention. After a long confrontation they decided to replace the tire but would have to order it. Fast forward it's now three weeks later and a tire that was supposed to take 5-7 business days if ordered hasn't been delivered to Boston Foreign Motor. At this point I'm having a back and forth with Wesley so I decide to call and ask to speak to a manager. During my conversation with Wesley's manager I find out the tire was never ordered and he has been lying to me for 3 weeks. His manager apologizes and offers to give me credit for the tire. I was given $ 170 for a BMW tire that costs about $300. Please be aware of who you are dealing with Boston Foreign Motor are pigs motivated by greed and deceit. Before you give this dealership any of your money, please let me tell you why their appearance of professionalism is a fake veneer. I stopped by this past Saturday 7/6/18 to check out a Maserati I had seen online. I came across a pearlized white Ghibli that I was interested in and the receptionist set me up with Milav. It started out great, Milav told me the Ghibli just came in 3 days ago, and gave me advice on how to end my current lease early. He seemed to be respectable and overall good demeanor. He told me to deal with the lease on Monday when I could speak with VW credit over the phone, then come back to see him and we can talk about buying the car. On Monday morning 7/9/18 I called VW and set up a lease-end inspection. I then called Boston Foreign Motor to make an appointment for Tuesday 7/10/18 after work at 6:45pm with Milav to see the pearlized white Ghibli. I received a text message from Wesley on Tuesday around 10am stating the car was sold. I then received a phone call from Milav who told me not to worry, they have a (plain) white Ghibli coming in soon. If I had been made aware at all of any possible buyers during my first meet with Milav, I would have moved forward at that time. If I had been made aware that there was an interested buyer between Sunday and Monday, I would have put down a deposit to secure the car. Milav told me their policy is not to accept deposits (a practice which my coworker who sold cars for 10 years with Audi has never heard of). Milav kept trying to speak to the high demand of the cars to rationalize. I then told Milav I wasn't interested in his continued attempts to explain himself and that I wouldn't be doing business with his company. He then replied "Well I didn't want to sell you this car!" and hung up. I'm not sure what is the purpose of scheduling an appointment to see the car if they are going to sell it right from under you without any notice. I didn't hear great things about Boston Foreign Motor from a couple mechanic friends but I really liked the car and wanted to purchase the car from them anyway. I should have listened to them. Buying a car is already stressful for me. Buying a used car out-of-state was a new experience, and added many new stressers to my buying decision. Was the advertised car even real? Did the pics properly depict the condition of the car? Could I safely pay and actually get the car? How would I get it home from Massachusetts? These were a few of my concerns, and I put my salesman Bobby through several hurdles as I worked through my skepticism and anxiety. I had only two things I could know for sure. First, I needed to listen to Bobby, to see if I could detect any double talk. Second, after I had made the decision to go to Boston and see the car for myself, I needed to again see that everything was exactly as it was described online and on the phone. From the onset, I found Bobby to be very courteous. This was actually a red flag at first, because I feared I was getting lip service. We connected using FaceTime, and I found his sincere friendliness to be consistent with his phone presentation. Very helpful. During the facetime, he even pointed out a scratch to me on the car that I wouldn't have otherwise spotted. When I arrived in Boston, Bobby was polite and very sensitive to the fact that I had come in from out of town to see him. His time was mine, and I continued to find consistency with who he was online and on the phone. Bottom line: I gave him my check, he assigned me the title and he arranged for shipping. I flew home with the title in hand. The shipper took a couple of days to materialize, but the GM promptly gave me the shipper contact info as soon as he had it. The car arrived here in south Florida as promised. Absolutely no problems. Great service. For me, Bobby is just a great guy and someone I would choose to work with. I bought a 2012 acura tl with 68k on it car was in pretty good shape. I deliver food for a living which means a lot of driving. Before purchasing the car I made it clear to the sales rep I needed a strong warranty because of the amount of driving I do,car parts and repairs get pretty pricey. He reassured me continental warranty company would cover my car bumper to bumper. So great coverage would be 60 months or 60k miles which ever came first. 4 years later first time using my " extended warrantee bumper to bumper". Doesn't cover blown seals for my car. For those that don't know what that means basically everything under the hood. 3 thousand dollars for an extended warrantee that doesn't cover anything. DO NOT GO HERE. In the beginning of September I bought a Mini Cooper from this place. It had 70k miles on it and appeared to be in pretty good shape. Lies. Lets back up. They 'open' at 9 but no sales people showed up until after 10. So call ahead. Then, every car they showed me I asked for the carfax report. Every car they showed me was a lemon (from CA too, not that that matters). One of the reports for one of the lemons didn't even list a reason for it being a lemon, so that was sketchy as all hell. Anyways, bought a mini. Two days last the engine light comes on. Bring it back to them, they clear the light and tell me it was nothing. A 'false alarm' blah blah. It comes back on the next day (shocking.) I have my guys look at the car and they point out a coolant leak to me (the car had no coolant left either) and I have the code read at autozone. It was a fuel sensor issue tripping the engine light. Also, the small light cover for the blinker on the side of the car was missing when I bought it. They said they'd order me another. Every time I asked about this they said it hadn't come in yet. After weeks went by, they said they got it but they were sent the wrong color (a yellow one vs a clear one). It's a small piece of plastic that goes over the blinker on the side of the car. When I asked the Mini dealership (Mini of Boston) how long it would take to get this part they told me it would be 1 day. Anyways, Boston Foreign Motors - legally required to fix the car within 30 days of purchase - kept pushing me off and wouldn't return phone calls, etc. Finally I called Mini of Boston and scheduled my own service appointment, and told them the bill was going to Boston Foreign Motors. There were no loaner cars available so I told them to get me a rental. Once this was scheduled I left a message with Foreign Motors to let them know I was sick of their run around and that I had an appointment. They called back within an hour saying they got me a different appointment at the Mini Dealership with a loaner car. Cool. Show up for this appointment at Mini of Boston and they have no record of said appointment and no available loaners. Shocking. I still drop off my car and get a rental and the bill goes to Foreign Motors. My car gets fixed, no more engine light, and Mini of Boston replaces the missing plastic piece for me. Fast forward 3 months. The timing belt in my car breaks, which then messes up other parts of the engine. I get a quote for $6,000 to fix the car. 7,200 miles on the car. That's ridiculous. I traded it in for the little I could get on the car and bought a new one from a REAL dealership. If I could have had it towed to Boston Foreign Motors, dropped it in their lot, and lit it on fire without getting arrested I would have. Besides the huge aggravation of actually buying the car, and then dealing with them to fix the car initially, I WILL NEVER step foot in this establishment again. I went to Boston Foreign Motor (BFM) to look at a vehicle listed on their website. It was listed wrong on their website as it said the vehicle had a Sequential Manual Gearbox (SMG), a $1,500 option, and it did not. Other than that the vehicle was in decent shape besides a more than average amount of grease under the hood, a cracked shifter knob, and a light out in the glove compartment. When I offered $2,900 dollars below their listed price, they explained to me that the price online these days are pretty much fixed. They insisted that the listed the lowest they could sell it for and no dealers who list their cars online are negotiable. It was so fixed that I managed to get $1,300 off the price. When we agreed on the price we talked about financing, they promised to get the same rate I could get on my own. I started filling out the application and before I even handed him the application or agreed to a credit check, Peter, the finance manager, had ran it without my consent! The rate was not even close to what I could get and they stated that this is what they could offer, and I stopped filling out the application. I explained to them that I could not pay that high interest rate and I needed some time to make this decision. Milad told me that this was only the rate for tonight, and pressured me to buy then since it was already passed closing time. I told him that I really need to think about it and I will be back first thing in the morning if I decided to buy it. On the way out Milad had remarked "come back when you have some more confidence!" This statement had made my decision not to purchase an easy one. Sure enough I got a call the morning from Peter to purchase the car. I called Peter today to ask him to remove his credit inquiry as CREDCO, their credit reporting agency, had recommended. Peter said that he had three witnesses to me verbally agreeing to run a credit report; his alleged witnesses are the high pressure salesmen who were standing around. I never consented to this. He also told me that he had my signature authorizing this. I have not signed any documentation for him to run my credit. I wish I had taken the reviews and Better Business Bureau complaint more seriously before I went to Boston Foreign Motors. They do have competitive prices but are less willing to negotiate than most dealers so I would be cautious of everything they try to tell you and be sure to shop around before resorting to Boston Foreign Motors. read more

Let's be honest...used car dealers usually aren't fun or trustworthy or easy to deal with, so a lot of the negative things I have to say are normal car dealer behavior. My boyfriend got a used car from here, and while the process was a bit bumpy, they tried hard to make up for places where they fell short. THE GOOD - They had the wrong price posted online ($1k less than what they really wanted)...but they honored it when he decided to buy it. They gave him a reasonable trade-in amount. When the car failed inspection & needed a new tire plus other work that took over a week to fix, but my boyfriend wanted 4 new tires, they sold him the other 3 at-cost & put them on the car. THE BAD - The car failed inspection. They basically forced my boyfriend into using their financing. They kept his car way too long while repairing it because it wasn't a priority for them. THE UGLY - Once the inspection repairs were done, they removed the FAILED sticker, but didn't get a PASSED sticker. So the car was technically illegally on the road until my boyfriend could get back to the shop to get a new one. Still, they were nice enough & tried to make up for mistakes that they made. Preemptive Moral of My Story: Buying a car is scary. And these guys sold me a really, really good car at a decent price. Nothing matters in this business more than that. My shiny new 2007 Toyota Corolla is sitting contentedly in my driveway as Cinderella's birds chirp overhead, insured and inspected, its Indigo Ink Pearl coat gleaming, giving me nary a care in the world. That said, I'm actually looking forward to the day my Lemon Law contract expires and I'll never have reason to deal with them again. Used car salesmen are businessmen. It's what they do. A-always B-be C-closing. And as such, like a good engine, a fair amount of oiliness is to be expected. These guys were polite on the phone and friendly in person, but didn't have a whole lot of patience for a girl looking to buy her first car all by her lonesome. This lack of patience manifested itself in different ways--annoyance by some; amped-up charm by others. Like, drippy oily charm that made it difficult to discern what was standard and what was "cute-girl-how-far-can-we-take-her-let's-pretend-this-is-a... discount", if you catch my drift. They let me haggle within reason, I suppose, but it was a little irksome to have them fight me for the last $50 and then, as we're killing time waiting for the car to arrive, regale me with how many BMWs they each personally owned. They were completely willing to let me bring to car to my mechanic (Newton Automotive Services, holla!), who took it for a test drive and declared the patient in excellent health. Again, this is the true test, and BFM passed. Still, though, there is no question that, post-financial transaction, they gave way less of a shit about me. A few little niggly details of the car needed work (a broken hinge on a dashboard compartment, minor but annoying etc.), and they flat out didn't take the time to order the part, and kept telling me to come back another time, to CALL THEM to see if the part had arrived. Eff that, boys. I just wrote you HUGE CHECK, and you can't even be bothered to call me when the part arrives? Oh yes, silly me. The check cleared. I'll try not to let the car door hit me on the ass on the way out. I love my new car. It's a good, solid car, and even the sullen RMV lady told me I got a good deal. PROS: I bought a 2012 Porsche Cayenne for the best available price with the right color combination, low mileage, and condition. Bobby was very helpful and easy to work with, he has a great personality, and showed me and my wife all the feature the car offered. He has driven Porsche Cayennes in the past, so he knew the vehicle very well. Even at our departure, we were looking for restaurants, and he kindly suggested a couple of nearby great options, very nice guy. I love my new Cayenne and can't wait to take it on many trips with my family. CONS: My suggestion is that if you have a trade-in, the best thing is to sell it yourself. I traded in a 2002 Mercedes Benz C-Class wagon, which currently sells from $4,500 to $7,500, and I only got $2,000 for it. I had a suspicion coming in, but wanted to make sure I got the Cayenne before someone else did since I had been looking for the perfect one for 18 months, and couldn't drive back home with two cars and no tags on one of them. Because of the convenience of not having to deal with selling it myself, I lost at least a couple of grand. I also understand they have to sell it to another dealer and everyone needs to make a little money, but it still hurts regardless. SUMMARY: I'm very happy with my decision, and highly recommend this dealership and Bobby to anyone considering buying a car from them. I spoke with Boston Foreign Motors (BFM) over a three day span, initial inquiry the first day, Facetime of the vehicle the second day, and the third day was an attempt at negotiation (failed, but nevertheless). I live in another state so decided to do a Purchasing Agreement which is essentially putting 1k down with the intent to buy... ultimately however, I wanted the vehicle held until I could get to Boston the upcoming weekend and do a pre-purchasing inspection and test drive. Needless to say, there was a lot of communication over these three days. On the day that I was supposed to sign the agreement and put down my deposit, I was contacted by Wesley, the salesman that I was dealing with, and he asked me if I had ever heard of the "buyback" program. After acknowledging that I hadn't, he then proceeded to tell me how the vehicle was purchased back by the manufacturer because there were some "minor issues regarding the navigation."I asked if this information was outlined in the CarFax, which I believed to be clean since their website advertised the title as "used clear title" and initial conversations confirmed this. Nevertheless, he says "yes, the issues are outlined in the CarFax," I then tell him that I'll take a look at it and email him back. Immediately upon opening a new window, what do I see in bold red, BRANDED TITLE: LEMON. Those "minor issues" were reported as "Severe problems were reported by a state Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). This vehicle does not qualify for the CARFAX Buyback Guarantee." So yeah, aside from the fact that their website is falsely advertising clear titles where titles aren't clear, I was lied to over the phone when I asked again just to confirm; the deception is unprecedented. Aside from false advertising and lying, there were clear intentions to wait until my interest reached an almost point of sale to indicate something as pertinent as the status of a title, and even still, it was described in a manner to completely minimize the fact that the title was branded! That's like not acknowledging that a vehicle was in an accident, and then later mentioning that it was a minor accident, and then finding out that the car has a salvaged title. After emailing Wesley back and telling him that I was no longer interested because the title was branded a lemon which is a far cry from being clear, he tells me, "I would not be concerned because you have still have another 34 months or 40,597 miles" obviously referring to the warranty. And here ladies and gentleman, is the nail in the coffin. There wasn't any concern for the false advertising or deceptiveness, what was essentially said is, 'hey, you're under warranty, don't sweat it.' No concern for the resale on my part, just the sale on his, no concern about the period after the warranty ends, or the time spent in and out of the dealership while the vehicle is under warranty. Most car shoppers hate to deal with a car salesman that's pushy and just wants to sell a car and make his/her quota for the month. I know that after going into several dealerships myself I felt like I was being "sold" on cars I wasn't even interested in and that nobody took the time to understand what it was I was looking for and find the RIGHT car for me. I went in with a very specific set of options that I wanted in my car (ok I really do have to admit...WAY more options than my budget could afford!!!) and Milad not only found me a car that had each and every one of those options, but a few extra too and it was exactly within my price range and still under factory warranty!! He helped me with financing, he got me new blizzard tires for the winter and went out of his way to make sure every single thing was taken care of perfectly! I was completely blown away!! Terrible experience I bought a car from Bobby and I had the worst experience of my life. They are liars, I bought the car a month ago and the car came with multiple problems and I couldn't enjoy it. I asked for another car and they like to play games. After that experience I wish I went to a different dealer. Terrible Customer Service! My son lives in Delaware and found a car listed at this dealership. After several conversations, he flew from DE to MA at 5am to purchase the car. Once the deal was being written, they informed him that MA doesn't have T tags and he wouldn't be able to drive the car home, which was the plan since he only purchased a one way ticket there. So not only did he NOT drive away with the car, but had to pay to have it shipped to him, purchase a return flight, and spend additional funds wasting time until his 7pm flight back to DE.
