The food here is hit and miss, staff is not well trained and the facility is very dirty, bathroom is not being maintained properly I would not come back to this restaurant, I have heard good things about Aubrey's but was very disappointed, I will try one of their other locations For comparison. We have been here quite a few times and we are always happy that we came to eat here! The food is always very fresh, and flavorful! I love their salads. They are always very refreshing and delicious! It's hard to find a good salad around this area. My usual go to entrees are the salmon tacos and the lemon lime chicken! They are both worth trying! The service is always on point, the servers are attentive and very friendly which makes for a great dining experience :) We haven't been to the bar here but it always looks well stocked and people seem to enjoy the full bar here and large outdoor seating area! Looks like a fun place to grab a drink or two! We will definitely be back soon! read more

The Aubrey's Powell location is OUR family restaurant. It is two miles from our house and is comfortably predictable, which is why we end up there several times a month. And E'RY. SINGLE. TIME. I get the cranberry chicken salad with balsamic. Tasty combo of grilled chicken, goat cheese, candied pecans tart apples and dried cranberries served over an absolute mound of romaine. When my kids are with us they ALWAYS get the spinach queso, but today it was just the hubs and I. We also prefer to sit in the bar, not only because there is some sort of ballgame we can tune in to, but also because the local folks who hang out there provide us with some additional entertainment. Stopped by on a Friday night (probably not a good idea) on my way to Kentucky. Good an outdoor table right away but the service was slower than slow. It looked like the regulars got all of the attention. When we finally got our orders placed and again the wait for our food seemed unreasonable. I ordered the Rooster Grill (chicken breast sandwich) along with the Thick Cut Potato Chips. The chicken was very dry and chewy and the chips were nothing more than round French fries. Needless to say I was not impressed. Then to top it all off I spotted our waitress petting another customer's dog as she was coming to refill our water glasses. (I did not want her to even think about touching my glass without first washing her hand) Doubt I'll try them again especially on a Friday night. read more

This place was recommended by a friend. It was fair but not a place I'd rush to eat at. It was very crowded and there was a big wait. We had nachos and queso and it was good. This was our fourth Aubrey's location my wife and I have been to, and it continues to uphold their brand name. It was packed full on a Wednesday night, but we were able to find two open seats at the bar. I like how the bar is separate from the restaurant. We received continually good service from the two bartenders, who checked in on us periodically throughout our meal. I had one of many local craft beers on tap, and the cheeseburger. It took a reasonable amount of time to arrive, and was cooked to the temperature I requested. It was very tasty, and came with a fairly large amount of shoestring French fries. I thought it was a simple and relaxing meal at a comfortable venue. Overall, another great dining experience at Aubrey's. read more

This is one of the newer Aubrey's and love the layout. When the weather is nice you cannot best the bar and open concept with large windows open. Great service here for a birthday group. We had a large table around 12 people and one server and she was excellent in keeping up with us and our drinks. I wish I got her name as she deserves the praise for how good she was. The food was great as always with all of us having a variety of plates. For me the haystack pasta was perfect. But I love the chicken tenders and fish here too. When I want a bigger fill I always got for the ribs. If not at this location, we go to one of the many around Knoxville. read more

Went here for dinner on Tuesday with my fiancé at around 5pm. The whole experience was perfect. we were seated right away, even though it looked pretty packed inside, it was very clean at the seats and the bathrooms. Waiter came to our table soon after to take drink orders and appetizers. We ordered drink and asked about the squash side. He was honest and said he didn't really know how it was and came back with a sample of it so we could try it with out us even asking! He came back with the drink and the sample... the sample was very good so we ordered it. Then he took out food orders. We ordered the Thunder Road Burger, and the Hawaiian ribeye steak. I'd say our appetizer came out in about 7 minutes, and our food came out about 10 minutes later. Portions were amazing, and the food was cooked perfectly! had to bring a lot of leftovers home which I love doing. Our server checked on us about 10 times through out our time there. Overall our experience here at Aubrey's was very refreshing as I feel like food service has been horrible recently at other restaurants. So thank you very much! Powell location. Ordered strawberry chicken salad and cranberry chicken salad $16 each, both were large and tasty. Service was good, we did have to ask for refills. We sat in the bar area, we were there between 6:30-7:30 and the sun coming in was so hot and there was limited air in the bar area, the sun was excruciating, had to put on sunglasses and had a terrible headache by the time we left. Table of 6 complained and another booth complained. Waiter acknowledged but could do nothing. Sunshades are desperately needed. read more

Aubrey's is a great place to dine. It is kind of a casual yet upscale place with really good food. I have never had a bad experience there. The service is always spot on. This visit I had a salad ( I know but I was on a salad kick for a week) but it was a steak salad with apples and nuts. I think the red meat counts for something... it was awesome - it actually had steak that they cook to order. I got blue cheese dressing but it would have been better with a vinaigrette. Good food and great service! We ordered a haystack pasta and a New York strip. The steak was rare when I had asked for a medium rare, but the server and the manager were quick to have it fixed. Aubrey's has been a staple in my family for years: always consistent, yummy, relatively affordable, and family-friendly environment. They have good classics like steak, burgers, salads, soups, etc and always start with yummy bread! They have a fun sports bar area and kind servers. I usually carry out the Granny Smith steak salad for a quick dinner. There is also a fun sports bar area to grab a local brew and watch games! I wouldn't go out of my way to take out of town guests here, but I would definitely recommend it as good American food in Knoxville/Powell. read more

One other thing I noticed is that the portions to be smaller than before but of course the prices have gone up quite a bit. Took my girls here for dinner one night and although we had a little hiccup, I'd probably give them another chance. We ordered several different things to eat and waited a little bit for the meals to arrive, and dug in when they did. The burgers were tasty for the most part, I tried a piece of my daughters mushroom burger and to my dismay but into something that was hard and not so tasty. I found out from the hostess that it was a piece of cardboard from the container the mushrooms come in. She was very apologetic and took the burger off the bill for us without our asking. My wife had crab cakes and asked our waiter for cocktail sauce and was told they didn't have any, but to his credit he could make some up for her. Great we thought - unfortunately it took about 10 minutes for him to come back and by then her cakes were room temperature.
