When I then asked if I could please have a knife (I'm seven months pregnant, for context), she started to walk to get one, took two steps, turned back and said "you can go get it yourself". It felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive, especially given how quiet the café was at the time. We stayed for a while after and watched her standing by the counter organizing utensils, so it wasn't a matter of being too busy. We really like this place and will continue coming back, but this interaction stood out in a negative way and didn't reflect the level of service we've experienced before.

Even with the wait the food was still delivered in a piecemeal fashion. It would have been nice if the restaurant had done something to acknowledge our inconvenience. I also ordered a small soldier which is a baked egg wrapped with Italian prosciutto. This item was very tasty but very small. I also ordered a quiche with spinach, feta and tomato with farm fresh egg. This item was a bit more substantial compared to other items and was served with fresh tomato, but could have used a salsa. I didn't get a photo of this item. I was a bit blown away about the price point of these items because I spent nearly $35 for brunch and left still hungry.
