Great job all around to the entire team. They said they would call back to schedule the appointment by the end of the day; They did! I asked them to call me before they got there; they called when they were on their way. And the work was efficient and clean! I would highly recommend them to anyone! Keep up the good work! read more

Representatives from this mobile glass repair shop walk around the check in area at Genie Car Wash, draw some circles in erasable marker on your windshield unprompted, and show you areas where your windshield is "chipped" in 4 places and needs repair, offering to coordinate with your insurance as well. I used quotes around "chipped" specifically because I subsequently called my auto insurance company who recommended Safelite Glass Repair (who I've used several times), and they came out to my place of work to repair the chips only to tell me that these are surface pits which are unsightly but cannot be repaired and they do not spread. In short, the representative from ATX Imperial Auto Glass was either very unskilled or attempting to rip me off. For reference, here is a full definition I found of this type of windshield damage: Surface Pit: A nick in the glass associated with normal wear and tear that does not penetrate to the plastic interlayer (middle layer of the glass sandwich). Can it be fixed? If the damage has a diameter of not less than 1/8 inch. Be cautious however, many small pits do not require a repair if the damage is too extensive. read more

Went to a car wash to wash my truck and found these guys telling me I have to have a chip repaired. The guys were very aggressive but it was cheap enough so i allowed them to repair it. a week later the chip area sent a crack 8" long across my windshield. When i returned they claimed the chip was unrelated and ask me to claim it on my insurance. I showed them the pics of before and after which proved to be the exact same place. They took no responsibility at all and basically told me I am screwed. Safelite repaired the crack the next day and i've had Zero problems. I would run as fast as possible from this company and call safelite. read more

My brother had been telling me to get the chips in the window fixed for a few weeks now. It was never a good time - mostly because that does not sound like fun and I didn't know where to take it. When I pulled my car in for a wash, Daniel suggested that I get the three chips fixed and reminded me that my insurance would cover it. I was already waiting for my car wash so I appreciated the proactive suggestion. He was also sweet to Samson. read more

ATX Imperial Auto Glass - Samson waits patiently. - Auto Glass Services Near Me - Austin, Texas

I'll start by saying I did not actually get service from them. Set up an appointment on a Monday for the following Saturday. Called 20 minutes before my appointment to let him know I was on my way. Showed up right on time. Waited...got a call about 10 minutes past my appointment time. The guy said, "I had to run an errand. I'll be there in like 15 minutes". I did not wait around to see how this played out read more

Last week two ATX Imperial Auto Glass employees moonlighting at Genie Car Wash marked up my car without my knowing. My goal was to get my car washed. The windshield repair employees approached me with demands that I repair my windshield before it would break. (The car and windshield are in superb condition.) I said politely, "No, thank you." They continued to be pushy and then harass me, even after I thanked them again and walked away. It is a pattern that they use with car wash customers. I watched them from the car wash waiting area and noticed their unprofessional (non-imperial) behavior. It's equal, unprofessional treatment with others. Be aware. Nobody monitors the lapses in communication and service. I called the main office and spoke to someone named Anthony who sounded so confused and even suggested that maybe that did not happen. Anthony said he would watch some video camera footage to see when, why, and how that happened. I've yet to hear from him. I don't recommend their services and their poor training practices extend from their main office to the car wash. read more

The rep who approached me about repairing my windshield crack lied to my insurance company and said there were 2 chips when there was only 1. There's little chance this will have any impact on me personally, but this is the type of dishonesty that taints the reputation of contractors and salespeople in general. As a small business owner that sells products and installs them I have to overcome barriers every day to gain the trust of potential customers. The practices of ATX Imperial Auto Glass (and most other windshield repair companies I'm sure) is the reason for that. Dishonest business - no matter who it impacts - deserves to be out in the open. read more

This is Sparta. So i was getting my car washed when a kind, friendly rep asked me non-intrusive questions about my windshield chips. Telling me with full coverage i could get them repaired for free. I'm cheap so i'm all about Free. The process didn't take long and i noticed easily 50% clearer vision through both of them. One was directly in my line of sight and now i hardly notice it. The rep was thorough in walking me through the claims process and having USAA my it easier as well. I thanked him and went about my day. And it's been a couple weeks now and the i still hardly notice the chips are even there. GREAT JOB. #300 read more

Here is the deal - you call some guy who has probably never changed a car window in his life (Anthony). He then subcontracts the job out to some guy who actually knows what he is doing. Anthony takes the bulk of your money, and gives very little of it the poor fellow actually doing the work. Such is life, and I guess this is the game in the auto glass business. You just have to hope that the subcontractor that they send out (who is not an employee of ATX Imperial Auto Glass) knows what he is doing. Luckily I was sent Esparza (I would ask for this guy by name) who was a total professional and did a great job. He explained the entire process to me, took his time to do the job right, and was a very friendly guy. I can only recommend these people if they send out Esparza. PS - if you like the job, tip the installer! read more

Amazing!!! I asked for a same day quote and 10 minutes later I was on the phone with the GM to schedule my windshield repair. It was raining so the car washes that they are located at were closed so Javier (GM) asked if they could come to me. Even better!!! They arrived 2 hours after I first talked to them. Jaime was my technician and he was on time. He explained what we was doing to fix my windshield and was very friendly. He fixed 2 chips in my windshield in 10 minutes. He also explained that my insurance will cover it and gave me the phone number to call to get reimbursed. I'm so happy I found them on Yelp! They rock!!! read more

ATX Imperial Auto Glass - The big chip in my windshield they repaired - Auto Glass Services Near Me - Austin, Texas

If I could give 0/5 stars I would. I have been trying to schedule an appointment with this company for over a week. They fixed my broken windshield last year and offered a "lifetime warranty" on their work. I need them to come look at the seal around the windshield they replaced. The voicemail box to their "global headquarters" is full, they take 2-3 days to respond to emails and have ignored my requests to look at my vehicle even when shown the receipt stating my "lifetime workmanship warranty". I went with this company because I wanted to support a local business during the pandemic shutdown and now have found out that they are disreputable and untrustworthy. It looks like I will be out another windshield insurance deductible to have their mistake fixed but hopefully I can save someone else from the same mistake. Run far away from this company as fast as you can! read more

I was approached by Stephen of ATXIAG when I stopped to get my oil changed at Shell Rapid Lube off Slaughter Lane. Being a native Texan, I know how our lovely heat can affect these seemingly minor chips and, considering how much I drive, I know how easy it is to end up with chips and not even know it. I really wasn't aware that my insurance would cover the minor repair at no cost to me, so I was pleasantly surprised to have this taken care of while I was eating my lunch and getting my oil changed. Hooray! I'm a fan of multi-tasking! Anyway, Stephen was great. He was polite, informative, and efficient. He explained the process to me, assisted with insurance company dealings, and fit in well with the good energy at the lube place. I was very pleased to get this taken care of so quickly, and will definitely keep them in mind the next time I notice a blemish on my windshield. (I've had to have a windshield replaced before and, frankly, I think it's a pain. I'm happy to do what I can in an attempt to avoid that bigger repair in the future.) Thanks, Stephen! read more

These guys are the worst! Becareful!!! They will approach you at the Genie car wash and say they can fix your window chip at no cost. I went in with a scratch that could be barely seen and left needing to replace my entire windshield. The damage occurred because the team is no properly trained! When I complained they said it wasn't their fault. Javier and Harrison are conmen! read more

Driving back from Dallas on Easter Weekend and the dreaded rock from the back of an 10 wheeler hits my windshield (insert many expletives!) ATX Imperial Auto Glass was at a local car shop when I arrived. I was in and out in about twenty minutes. The spoke with my insurance and took care of that as well. I hope I don't have a reason to use them again, but if I need glass repair in the future, I'll call them for sure! read more

While visiting my family in Texas a rock hit and chipped my windshield. I found ATX and had them repair the damage. The owner was real nice and explained the process of payment and repair. I was pleasantly surprised to see he took care of my windshield and had my insurance take care of the cost. Great customer service and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place for your auto window repair. I wish we had this type of establishment here in the Bay Area. Thank you ATX! Sincerely, Erica read more

Young man approached me while getting my oil changed at Kwik Kar on Research. He called my insurance and let me speak with them to reassure that they'd cover the preventative repairs at 100%, at no cost to me, with a promise to not raise my premium. What a horrible experience! RUN FAST! Javier was an absolute jerk when I returned and ask him to fix the chip in my windshield. I came in with a small chip and he convinced me to repair it with "cash". I did not even get a receipt, I did not really care because it looked good to me. About three days later the chip turned into a huge crack, I brought it back and showed Javier who then asked for the receipt. I explained I paid cash and he all but called me a Liar! He then ask me to lie to my insurance and claim it, I threatened to complain, then some total raging maniac named Anthony started trying to bully me and my wife. He screamed at me in front of my children and I left. This was the worst possible experience and I am looking into legal action for what we fell victim to. We will be contacting the BBB and using all available channels to stop this type of disgusting business practice. read more

husband said "no" to a new car, so instead I had my front windshield replaced by ATX Imperial Auto Glass. I had a crack running both horizontally and vertically. Scheduling an appointment was super easy, and they even made a trip out to my office in Bee Cave to take care of it while I was at work. Mark was the technician who did my install, and I couldn't be more pleased! He was super nice and a pleasure to work with. i didn't get that new car, but i totally scored a much needed facelift for my ride! Reasonably priced, and it's always nice to help out a family owned small business. Highly recommend these guys! read more

Went to Genie Car Wash yesterday to get a full detail. ATX imperial auto glass there offering a "free" service. I wasn't interested, but the glass technician (not a technician at all) really pushed their "free" service. The glass tech's name was Jaime, he came running to my car as soon as I stepped out pointing out chips on my windshield. At NO time was I explained to that there may be a risk of the windshield cracking. The windshield split and to a HUGE surprise I was told I was 100% responsible to replace my windshield at 100% cost. WTF???? I would have NEVER let this clown touch my car if I knew there was a risk involved. I use my car for my business, to be out of work for the next few days is ridiculous just because these "technicians" can't do their job correctly. I spoke with the owner on the phone and he wouldn't let me talk or explain. Basically he just told me to fork over $200 for a new windshield. There wasn't ANYTHING wrong with my windshield to begin with and to be told it's my fault really baffles me. Never trusting these clowns again..... I was scammed!!!! Shame on you ATX Imperial Auto Glass!!!! By the way to the asshat owner, I can get the glass for $70. NOT $200. read more

I came in with a chip and left needing to replace my entire windshield at a cost of $750. My car insurance warned me about using a company like Imperial ATX that was NOT on their list of approved providers. They did not offer any compensation OR a refund of the money that my car insurance company paid for the repair. I will always use Safelite in the future. Safelite was so professional and does repairs or windshield replacement at your location. read more

Went to the car wash in south Austin and was approached by a "professional" glass tech. The kid did not know anything about windshield repair, when I asked questions in regard to the most miniscule chip on my 1998 Honda (which had been there for more than 10 years) he tried to tell me if I didn't get the chip repaired, the chance of a complete crack out would be 90%. This smaller than a paper clip tip had been there for more than a decade. Extremely shady and very poor customer service. I guess he is paid on commission only basis. Could tell by his pushy and pressure salesmanship. Not only am I extremely skeptical, I will not be returning to this car wash as well. read more

Everything was perfect! This couldn't have been better, unless it was free. This whole thing was basically effortless on my part. Scheduling was easy and fast. They were great! I had a ding on my windshield for a little while but noticed it was starting to spread. It's probably not wise to make a hasty decision on an auto repair, but Steve grabbed me at Genie Car Wash and wanted to repair two minor chips in the windshield -- chips I hadn't even noticed. However, apparently the work on my windshield was halted midway and not completed. My windshield was left with scrapes all around the (now more evident) chips. I called the number on the receipt and was told the work could be completed on Monday at a closer Genie Car Wash. Unfortunately, after getting directions and driving there, I found that location closed for the day, with no one in sight. Left a message, received no call-back. Now my calls to their number ring straight through to voice-mail. Customer service is not their strong-point! read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. My experience with imperial and Anthony Chavira was terrible. The estimator told my insurance company I had three chips in my window, there was only one. Then when I brought this matter up to Mr. Chavira he gave me some story about how it doesn't matter because it does not count against me and its only one claim. Um, its a lie! I could care less whether my insurance can afford it, its untrue. I was not impressed with anything about this company. If the owner sells lies that's really all I need to know about any company. Zero star review for the people in charge of imperial auto glass. read more

Had a windshield replaced and it was done incorrectly. Now there is a loud buzzing sound. Made numerous calls to get it fixed and the technician never shows up. I also found out that my insurance would have covered the entire cost. What a waste of $35. Oh well, live and learn... read more

I had one small crack and one small chip on my windshield hardly noticeable but it bugged me so I figured I'd get it repaired. .when he used the razor blade to remove the excess epoxy the blade was jumping on the windshield like it was getting caught up ..I know a blade can't scratch glass when scraping but can't be good to be jumping on the glass..was like the blade was dull. after he was done I looked at the repair and it looked worse than when I brought it in.. there were long almost chisel marks only where the work was done..called the shop and they told me that there was nothing they could do and that those marks were already there and we're filled with epoxy. ..funny cause when I run a toothpick around those marks it falls in the marks= no epoxy. Do NOT let this company anywhere near your car. They turned my tiny rock chip into a huge crack and refused to cover it. Go anywhere except ATX Imperial Auto Glass! Went to their mobile location on Slaughter Ln with a chip that was no bigger than 3/8 inch across and was told by Javier Devers that it was no problem and he could fix it in a few minutes. After a few minutes, he told me that there was a problem. The simple chip repair turned into a crack that can not be repaired. He stated that it started to crack and he tried to stop it from spreading but it went past the point of repairing. He also stated that the best he could do was give me $50 off of my deductible which left me with a $200 bill for his mistake. He told me after the fact that these things can happen yet failed to warn me before he started, nor did I sign any papers with any warnings. Found out through another glass repair shop that since the chip was in the upper part of the windshield, you have to be careful and there was too much pressure when applying the resin. Now I'm driving a 2014 F150 with a crack caused by some "technician" that was in too much of a hurry (it was his lunch time) to do the job right, plus they want me to pay for their mistake. This whole situation is FUBAR and I strongly suggest to go to a reputable company if you need a repair because ATX Imperial obviously is not! read more

The classy bate and switch. A guy by the name of Jacob approached me while I was getting a carwash, and offer to replace my windshield for $300.00 I questioned the price and the guy assured me that was the price, he wanted me to pay in advance and I told him NO, he insisted that I needed to pay at front before they replace the windshield, I told him I wasn't doing it and he came back and said that his boss was OK with me paying once the windshield was replaced, he told me he was gonna call me the same day to set up an appointment to get it replaced, I waited 3 days and nobody called me, so I called the place at 512-579-1998 and left messages for someone to call me back over the next 2 days and nobody called. Finally I got to speak to a guy who claims he was the manager but refused to give me his name and last name, he told me that his guy Jacob made a mistake and that even though he was an employee there, and that even though he wrote it down saying it was gonna cost me $300.that he wasn't going to honor that price So this company pretty much lie to me, I asked the manager who finally gave me his name of Javier still no last name if he was member of the BBB Austin, so that I could place a complain of deceptive practices, and he claimed that he was a member and when I checked his name with the BBB Austin, is clearly shows that they are NOT a member, they lie again.
