I engaged looking for vendors on servicing our residential home…read morefor installation of a new HVAC system, because every single summer since moving into this house (5+ years now) we've always had coolant leakage and have to fix leakage and refill Freon, which is a temporary bandaid fix. This summer it broke yet again and we bit the expensive bullet and started quote shopping. Right off the bat, Alex, was very responsive and communicative in getting us quotes in numbers and cut straight to the chase with numbers games for us. This is an expensive purchase and Alex was very willing to work on getting us the best price in any quote we could procure or others we talked to in the Austin area. Our AC unit went out Sat/Sunday, we talked Sunday night to Alex, and Monday evening after talking with 3-4 more companies, pulled the trigger on our new Carrier 3.5 T unit to swap out our current Trane 3.5 T unit. Alex's crew, his brothers, showed up bright and early Tuesday morning, and got to work! Pulled out the old HVAC system for interior and exterior, which was not an easy job in how our home was built and whoever lived here before decided to put all the big ticket items in the garage but the guys did a great job getting creative! I also spoke to Nimo, who was an absolute pleasure from a business standpoint, in ensuring we could understand everything we paid for today, helped turn the system back on, confirmed everything was properly installed and cleaned up and left even better than when we came in! I absolutely love that we went with Cool Time HVAC. Their customer service is unparalleled in helping us navigate something the typical homeowner considers a headache, and painful financial purchase, but they made it such a no nonsense ordeal. We appreciated the expert eyes, care for our home, and family friendly local business and personalized service in explaining registering for the unit, along with future care maintenance tips, along with hvac inspections that we look forward to continuing for our relationship in our HVAC love so it has many many years of use out of it before we have to do this all over again :)

First they came out and adjusted some duct work so I could get the most out of my almost 20 year old system. Then, when my unit finally gave up, they came out and put in a brand new system. Hopefully I don't need them again for a while, but I feel good that they'll have my back if I do!

They came out, told me I needed to repair fittings and copper lines for leaks and they would get me 3 quotes. that took weeks. On top of that they did something in the attic that disable the power to my garage doors and security system all while noticing an arcing wire. I only found this stuff out after they left and found I had no power to get out of my garage. I called them immediately, like 10 mins when noticed. Dallas immediately told me it was nothing they did with out even getting with the tech to ask. I had to get an electrician to find the issue. Why would they tell me they touched nothing in the attic and seen nothing of concern when in fact they did, which they admit later on. I had an arcing wire you and you DO NOT TELL ME, and flip a switch you have no idea what it goes to and do not tell me. The morning before they arrived, I had just praised them and then it all went to crap. So I am still with out a working unit becuase they want to charge me $15k or so for a new unit when I had just spent the $6K or so.

I can't rave enough about the quick, accurate service at a very reasonable price; without an added on "service fee" that so many AC service companies tack on. I have been promising myself since 2017 that I would get around to writing a review so this time I just sat myself down and did it same day. DO NOT RECOMMEND! I was a loyal, fully paying customer of…read moreGreen Leaf for over a year and a half, and my experience was defined by poor workmanship, broken promises, and a management team that ultimately let my warranty expire rather than help me use it. My issues started in April 2024 with a faulty tankless water heater installation, one of their own technicians later told me the crew had failed to install all required parts. That crew was subsequently laid off. Water was dripping from the exterior pipe and pushing into the attic. After significant back-and-forth, the symptoms were addressed, but the root installation failures were never formally resolved. During my Fall 2025 HVAC tune-up, a technician identified that the supply plenum from my original 2021 HVAC installation was undersized and improperly installed, something never flagged in any prior Green Leaf service visit. I followed up by email requesting next steps and never received a response. A year later, they were quoting me over $4,000 to fix an installation error that their own team had been servicing around for years without disclosing. The most serious issue involved my HVAC coil. In Spring 2026, my refrigerant was found to be low. Rather than immediately discussing a potential warranty claim on the coil, which would have been the right call, Green Leaf charged me for a refrigerant refill and pushed a $300 diagnostic fee. After weeks of back-and-forth, a UV dye test confirmed a visible leak at the top of the indoor coil. By then, Green Leaf had already terminated the business relationship and refused further service. At no point did anyone at Green Leaf ever mention that a coil replacement might be covered under warranty. They collected their charges, ran the clock out with delayed diagnostics, and walked away once the leak was confirmed. The one genuine bright spot was former Office Manager Michelle Lewis, who was consistently professional and communicative. The contrast between her service and what I experienced from General Manager Thos Graham, who shifted terms between emails and ended the relationship when I asked reasonable clarifying questions, was significant. I paid every invoice in full, renewed my membership, and gave Green Leaf every opportunity to make things right. What I got in return was a company that prioritized its billing over my best interests. Find a different HVAC and plumbing company!
