It was a long and weed ridden road to find a good landscaper, and I was relieved when we finally came across these guys. My fellow homeowner and I had interviewed several landscapers prior to Atwood. We were upfront about our budget constraints and had a general idea of what we wanted to do. One landscaper chose to pull the "la la la I can't hear you" when we discussed our budget and gave us a quote that was three times what we could afford. Another refused to rip out some sod for us and put in a patio because it wasn't "creative" enough for her (no joke). These were the same people that suggested a babbling brook type deal after we told them we mainly employed our backyard for BBQ's and beers. But enough with the negativity; Tanja was great. She gave us exactly what we wanted and worked within our budget constraints with no problem. She came with a team of incredibly hard workers and our backyard was transformed in the course of 1 day. It's been about three months since we had our yard done, and despite my black thumb, the damn thing insists on thriving. I will use Atwood Hoffman for biannual cleanups as well as any future plantings. I am a real estate agent by trade and will happily refer them to any client who needs their services. read more

I've been searching for a good landscaper for quite a while. I found Atwood on Yelp and I'm very glad I used this company. Tanja is easy to work with and she has a passion for landscaping that I found to be really refreshing. She worked with me on my budget and gave me a great looking lawn, that I now consider to be the nicest in the neighborhood. Then, after the work was completed, she dropped off some hoses and even called a week later to make sure all of the plants were still doing well. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone who's looking for a landscaper, she has a deep knowledge of the products, and plant colors and size. read more

After reading the reviews here on Yelp I quickly called Atwood Hoffmann Design and spoke with Tanja. She came out to my house and discussed different design ideas with me and asked what was my budget was for the work I was looking for. She later explained that she would provide me with a quote the next day. The next day came and went without any quote. The following day I was able to get in contact with her to ask about the quote. She apologized for not sending over the quote and said that she would send it that evening. That evening I received the quote and it was 3 times greater than the max end of my budget that I told her (my budget was 3-5k her quote was closer to 20k). Obviously confused, I called and tried to get in contact with Tanja many times without any luck. I ended up sending her an email telling her that I needed to discuss the budget with her as soon as she was available. I finally was able to get in contact with her on the phone that evening and discussed the budget with her. She said that she would provide me with a new quote by the following day to which I still haven't received as of the writing of this review. As a result, I cannot recommend Atwood Hoffmann Design at this time. The owner Tanja is very hard to get in contact with, not at all prompt and does not deliver when she says she will. If you can't count on someone providing you with just a quote when they say they will or get in contact with that person, then how can you safely trust them doing a job for you in a timely fashion? read more

After reading the positive reviews here I called and spoke with Tanje. She was very professional, personable and attentive. Under her direction the crew turned my unkempt property around beautifully. Tanja never delivered the full package of our contract; she told us she would supply a watering schedule and fall clean up schedule...to date...two years later...nothing. We had a plant that died within months of the initial planting...to date she has not replaced it....we have called her several times over the last two years...she promises to come by...to bring a replacement....still nothing. It is unfortunate what started as a great experience has been an on-going, unresolved nightmare. read more

I FINALLY found a landscape designer and installer that is incredibly talented! Tanja and all members of her crew of Atwood Hoffman are first class in every aspect! She doesn't frown when tight budget is mentioned, she doesn't roll her eyes when references are requested. Every step of the way from initial discussions, proposals, planting and water schedule is done personally by Tanja. She and her crew are very efficient and very clean landscapers! Every fine detail was professional adhere to, the job was on time, on budget, no surprises! She has an awesome watering schedule that she reviews with you at the end! If you are looking to add curb appeal to your home, call Tanja! If you are looking to enhance your home's value, call Tanja. Tanja is the owner of Atwood Hoffman Design, she is NOT a landscaper that will throw down a couple of perennials and call it a day.
