Best dentist office ever, the front office is very welcoming, friendly, and explains everything when you check in and out. The hygienist are the best, explain if any issues, make sure you are comfortable. Dr Foroughi makes going to dentist easy for me as I used to dread going to have work done, crowns done all in one visit, the entire process so much easier. I am so happy Atrium Dental is finally on Yelp. I've been wanting to write this review for quite some time now. You should avoid Atrium Dental at all costs. Even if you have wonderful teeth that just need routine cleaning and nothing more I would not recommend going. Only reason I have them 1 start is because 0 stars was not an option. You are better off letting all your teeth rot and fall off than setting foot here. Don't walk out, run out on them if you get this in time. Cleaning was an issue. My husband was told he had special teeth that required special cleaning, and was always charging extra for it. I'm not sure the terminology, but not scaling. No dentist before has ever told him his teeth were different, and not ever since has anyone ever mentioned he needed this. The hygienist and dentist both missed a root canal that I needed done. I brought it to their attention I was having pain in the tooth, and they told me, no it was a different tooth, not that one. I have had 8 root canals over the years and am very good at spotting a tooth that needs a root canal. Because it was in a tooth they couldn't do anyway I was able to go to a specialist. Actually, they would not give me a referral even though I needed the root canal, but I explained the situation to the specialist my husband had seen and he was able to get me in without the paper referral. The dentist and hygienist both kept saying it wasn't that tooth but the one right next to it. The specialist advised the other one would need work, but nothing immediate. The dentist kept insisting it was bad and was deep and had to get done right away or it would become a root canal, and if they did it now they still might not be able to keep it from become a root canal. This was actually the last straw. The specialist did the root canal and immediately when the tooth was exposed you could smell the infection. I hate to be so vivid, but I need you to understand what you are dealing with if you go here. By the way, my husband refused to go here long before I adopted a refusal policy. I have most recently seen Dr. Cote in Arlington VA who I found through Yelp, and after my experience here and with him, I would be willing to fly to Arlington for even basic cleaning. My first issue with Atrium came when I had a tooth that needed to be filled. They warned me that it might be too deep and end up having to become a root canal. I actually believed them the first time they told me this. The tooth had a crack big enough to stick a pen tip in. Food was getting stuck. I was pretty sure the tooth was a loss. So I earnestly believe them. However 3 other times since then they would tell me they spotted a new cavity and how it looked deep and might become a root canal. Okay, how in 3 months something go from they didn't see it to suddenly a deep cavity that would probably turn into a root canal? Now I'm not convinced the first was a good effort to try and save the tooth after all. I'm still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on that first tooth though. It gets worse. That same tooth the cap was huge. It always felt like bubble gum was stuck on the tooth and never felt like a real tooth. Which is really a shame. The temporary they put in fit like a glove and was awesome. I've never had a temporary be so good, and a permanent be so bad. Also when they installed the cap, it was too big and they had to file down the tooth above because they had filed down the cap as much as they could. Despite my gut telling me not to let them, I let them anyway. I regret that severely. They took a lot of enamel off and I can still feel the problem. I've had other dentists have to take off a little bit to fit a tooth in place, but it was always minor. This was not minor. Other dentists have pointed out the problem with that tooth since and will probably loose that tooth eventually as a result. It gets even worse. My Dr. in Arlington said the cap wasn't set right at all and there was a gap underneath where bacteria could get right in. Great. Last thing I needed. Call me skeptical after years with Atrium, but I didn't believe him at first. However, you could clearly see in the x-rays there was decay. It was like a tunnel that the bacteria had direct contact to the inner tooth. He had to redo the whole thing. Which, I'm really glad. It only further proves that my bad experience was validated as a bad dentist. The cap feels like a real tooth now. read more

The dentist told my mother she needed thousands of dollars of unnecessary work completed. I knew this was not correct, so I took her to have a second and third opinion. We found out she did not have the problems the doctor mentioned, and that work was not needed. Worst of all, after not setting up appointments for treatment with them, the office reps kept calling and hounding to set up appointments. Meanwhile, I , who was a regular patient prior to taking my mom there, have not had my teeth cleaned in more than a year. No one at that office has contacted me about that. They want the big bucks, and they want to take advantage of a senior citizen. The office and doctor cannot be trusted, and I strongly recommend potential patients look elsewhere. read more

Each time I've gone to Atrium, they are courteous and prompt. They schedule all of your appointments and make the appointments convenient for you. Dr. Foroughi is extremely gentle with dental work (you don't feel a thing)! He has truly made someone who was traumatized and terrified to go to the dentist--comfortable with any dental process. read more

I recently started going here after I switched my insurance. They are fast and are always on time. My teeth and gums look great. I used to go to SW Dental and that place was terrible. The dentist would never even come back to see you. He would just leave it all to the assistants. Good thing I never needed any serious work done there. I started going to Dr. Sean about a year ago and I can say he is one of the best dentists I've had. He is very compassionate; he gave my father and I great discounts because we don't have insurance. The staff is very friendly and they have really fun contests on their Facebook page. I'm a fan and I recommend it to everyone. read more

Our family has been going to Atrium Dental for several years now. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. Everyone is always smiling and makes you feel so comfortable. Dr Foroughi is so gentle and explains everything perfectly so you know exactly what he is doing. When he gives you a shot to numb your mouth you cannot even feel it. And to the person who said he tried to sell you an electric tooth brush, you should take his advise. I have been using one for years and it saved my teeth. Don't let their nice furniture and smiling receptionist fool you! This was, by far, the worst dental experience of my life. I scheduled an appointment with Dr F because Atrium Dental accepted my insurance, and I needed a referral to an oral surgeon to get my wisdom teeth out. After filling out the new patient info, I was escorted to one of the rooms by a dental assistant who, quite honestly, was the most unprofessional, tactless dental assistant I've come across. After my x rays were taken, I was told continuously that I would be able to look at them, but was never given the chance. The dental assistant made me watch a video about wisdom teeth extraction (following a scolding for still having them in-- I'm 23) while I waited for the dentist. Then the dentist came in and went straight to work... telling the assistant everything was a mess in my mouth! He was professional enough, but after a thourough exam, the assistant said "Wow, you have a lot of cavities." Which is surely NOT TRUE. I had gotten only 4 cavities filled a year and a half before after 6 or 7 years of not going to a dentist. No way were there an additional 12 cavities in my mouth in a year and a half time frame. Furthering my humiliation, he took digital photos of the inside of my mouth and went through every tooth, telling me that something was wrong with it. On top of telling me that I needed that many fillings, Dr F continued by saying that I had early gum disease and made me watch a terrifying video about it. I later found out that early signs of periodontitis is not uncommon, but instead of reading the horror on my face and reassuring me, he said I needed to schedule a deep clean because my gum disease could cause heart disease in the future. I was mortified, but he barely stopped to notice. He told me that the measurements of my gum pockets (mostly 3mm and 4mm) were cause for concern, which my family dentist said was wrong-- Anything over a 5, she said, was cause for concern. I honestly think that this dentist stretches the truth to get the most out of your insurance. Out of my 2,000 annual coverage, they wanted to bill 1600+ of it just for the work they claimed I needed. I left in tears and called my out-of-town family dentist straight away. They reassured me that it was probably not so serious. Bottom line, do not go to this dentist. Even if he was telling me the truth about my mouth (doubtful), he and his assistant left something to be desired in the bedside manner department, and obviously don't understand what a traumatic experience going to the dentist can be. read more

I heard that this was a very good dentist to see so I went in for routine cleaning and ended up having to have a couple of fillings put in. At first I thought they were all very nice and worked quickly so they didn't take up much of my time. However, the truth is the dentist worked too quickly. He didn't really talk, just ran in, worked on teeth, then ran out. I didn't know if I was supposed to wait for him to come back or leave? Apparently he was done and litterally ran to the next room to work on the next patient. The bad part is not his poor bed side manor. Three months later one of the fillings came out. I went back to have them fix it, insisting there would be no charge, since that was a rediculous amount of time for a filling to last. They said they would, after a room of deliberations. But low and behold, two months later the same filling fell out again!!! I also got a statement from my insurance that they had billed them. I was moving to another state at the time so I could not go back. One month later another filling that he did fell out! My new dentist said this was absolutely inexcusable based on the products they had to work with today. I am very happy with my new dentist and would advise everyone to GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! read more

I started seeing Dr. Foroughi 6 months ago and today was my second visit. Janelle the hygienist was thorough and did an excellent job (I always have a lot of plaque) and my teeth looked perfect when she was done. As always Dr. Foroughi did an excellent job examining my teeth and explaining any problems that he saw. Should I ever need dental work I am very confident in his ability and judgment. Six months ago he suggested I go to a softer night guard something a previous dentist told me would never work yet the harder version was impossible for me to get use to or keep in all night despite trying for over a year. Happy to report that the new night guard that was fitted for me at Atrium Dental is not only comfortable but has helped a lot with the night time clenching. The office staff---Ruby and Stacy were very welcoming when I entered and left and efficiently set up my next appointment and took payment. Finally their prices are very reasonable. This Dentist was recommended to me by a friend and despite being a 20 min drive away (previous dentist was about a 3 min drive) it is well worth it to come here. I can't recommend this place highly enough. read more
