Been a year and I go here often, so thought I would update this. I have a new favorite breakfast which is the cucumber/veggie sandwich and I get it on everything bagel with cheese added. So good. But let's talk about their coffee. Beverly has so many great coffee places and they are all good. Atomic is one of my top two places. Coffee is smooth, and consistently tastes the same which I admire. The wait staff is great. My pet peeve, is that they have all these signs that say that the booths are saved for 2 people or more, and there are often booths with just one person working. Yes, some are waiting for someone, but many are not. Just frustrating cause when it is busy and I want a booth for me and my friends, I want a booth. Ok I'm done. Best sit and gather coffee place in the city. And surrounding cities.

I got a green smoothie bowl and it was out of this world! So delicious and pretty too! The coffee is great as well. It has a hip atmosphere with plenty of seating and a good sized menu.

It's almost perfect, is the best way I can put it. And clearly way better than most coffee shops ! I had an iced coffee which had a great taste and really strong. A grilled cheese which was tasty as well.

Atomic Cafe is one of the better cafés in the Boston area. I remember when they were a small shop across the street from their current, larger space, and I love that they've grown so much. Especially when you remember where they started. Their coffee and food are higher quality, their staff is always amazing, and their prices are a little on the higher side (similar to Starbucks but better quality). This is a great spot to grab a latte & lunch, and chat with friends or study for a couple hours. It's pretty busy every time I've come in, whether morning or afternoon, so grab a seat if you can. I am the biggest fan of lemon poppyseed anything, and it's so hard to find! Their lemon poppyseed cake was delicious, and I've had their Quirky Turkey and Turkey Panini sandwiches made cold, and I recommend them. I love their Dirty Hot Chocolate and Chai Lattes, including Iced Mocha Chai, but I recently tried their Earl Gray Tea Latte (my favorite) and it wasn't the best I've had. They've also recently opened a juice bar in the back left side of the café, Atomic Juicery. I haven't tried them yet, but I love that the community is providing healthier choices. Between Atomic Cafe and Soma, I feel like Beverly is the Twilight Zone more and more. Ambience: 5/5 Food & Drinks: 4.5/5 Cost: 3.5/5 Service: 5/5 Atomic Cafe: 4.5/5

10/10 suggest going for coffee! Or going to portray the "mysterious woman in the corner reading a book" vibe.

Restaurant Week, as per the Salem Chamber of Commerce's website, is summed up as: "Participating restaurants offered special two- and three-course prix-fixe menus, giving locals and visitors alike a chance to explore, support, and celebrate Salem's vibrant dining scene." For $45 I got cheddar jalapeño fritters, a poutine burger (hamburger with fries cheese and gravy on top, kale Caesar salad with freshly grated cheese, and fresh, piping hot apple cider donuts. The burger was hearty, the fritters popped, and the donuts hit the spot but by far the standout was the kale caesar salad with the creamy dressing over crispy and crunchy kale topped with the tangy grated cheese. A Downeast cider washed it all down and was refreshing. I went on a weekday so there were a few people sitting at the bar with me but overall the place wasn't packed. What I really appreciated was the general manager came to talk to me specifically about their Restaurant Week food selection and to get my feedback. She was super friendly and I told her about the kale caesar salad. Parking is on the street and can be hit or miss because The Babe is right on Washington Street where it starts to curve around the corner. It's worth it to keep circling though. The Babe has different events each night of the week, including Jazz Tuesdays and karaoke Fridays. I had a great time at The Babe and I appreciate how much they support the local Salem community. I am looking forward to going back!

When you walk in, the decor is such that you feel like you entered someone's dining room. I even remarked to the waiter how much I loved the wood table I was sitting at. Everyone was dressed casual and seemed to be having a good time. There is a big bar that is separate from the dining room with a lot of televisions tuned into sports. If you are into that, this is a great place for sports night. Anyway, the menu has individual and family size pizzas, oversized sandwiches, salads and entrees. The kids menu is good too. I ordered a sandwich with mozzarella sticks, french fries, chicken fingers, w marinara sauce. It was an open face monstrosity and I loved it because I could take half of it home with me. My son ordered the kids menu hamburger. The waiter explained that this sandwich did not have lettuce and tomatoes, which I thought was nice of him to let us know. Since I was penny pinching, I said that was alright. The portion size on his plate was more than enough for a growing pre-teen. I ate the first half of my sandwich happily and it was more than enough. My friend ordered a salad with buffalo chicken fingers and a drink from the bar and she was so happy with her selection. Bonus: *Sports TVs had tennis, basketball, football, sport news and even a WNBA game on. Normally, you are stuck on one sport. *They have a lot of employees. They are employing a lot of people so service is fast and helpful. Support a Beverly business that is supporting Beverly people. I would recommend this spot as a great relax and chill place.
