Our pool looks great and we enjoy it...I also paid a lot of money for it. So I expected better. This review is after 18 months of use so I can report on building it and follow up. The pool is in however communication with the lead/foreman was spotty and and at time non existent. We were provided a payment schedule yet the work schedule was consistently late or delayed. Some days crew would show up un announced. Some days no one would show up and we didn't know why. Yet the office kept pressing for payment on time. I was not getting what I expected. Several times I had to call the office to get some action for information. Upon completion, there was no quality check with us to assure me that my $125K+ was well spent. Since completion, I've had two pool light repaired by Atlas within the year. And recently I had the pool checked for leaks and sure enough there were two...one at the spa jet and one at the skimmer. That cost me an additional $2150 to repair. Atlas could have caught this during installation since the spa jet was installed improperly and and skimmer was leaking at the joint. We've dressed up our pool and we enjoy it. But if I had to do it again...I'd check elsewhere. Communication must be improved. Quality checks must happen. We moved to Orlando on 2/7/20 and based on a recommendation from our Realtor We contracted with Atlas to build our pool. Pool opened on 7/31/20. It was our paradise. About 4 weeks ago I noticed I was having to put lots of water in the pool. I contacted Atlas to come check it. I was told leak detection was only covered for 1 year. They would come for $350 plus additional visits. I hired A different company and they determined my pool of 2.5 years ( in the 3 year warranty) had 3 major leaks. The skimmer used in my new pool construction is no longer used. It appears to be about 10 years old and has multiple leaks. The main drains in the pool also has leaks. My paradise is now a disaster needing thousands of dollars of repairs. You would think Atlas, being a local family company, would be willing to assist in this fiasco they build. I reported all of this to Atlas and was dealing with Brody in warranties division. He seemed caring and said he would see what they could do. A few days later after numerous calls and emails, Brody informed me by email the 10 year old skimmer they installed in my new pool would not be covered by warranty. No explanation. At this point I needed to know about the main drains. Multiple calls placed to Atlas were never returned to this day. I did finally get an email from Brody saying main drain leaks not covered under warranty. I have asked by email for an explanation of this and none given. I believed in this company. I wrote a 5 star review and referred friends to them. I was a positive ambassador for them. Now, they won't even return my calls. Now I am left with a leaking new pool. Our pool building experience with Atlas Pools was outstanding. From the design process to a finished pool, the experience was characterized by a great customer service relationship. Our supervisor, Art was very attentive in answering our many questions and exhibited a high level of integrity by having always fulfilled his promises. Considering what the pandemic did to businesses, Atlas Pools kept on schedule with our pool and actually finished ahead of schedule. The quality of the pool is excellent with many cool new water features like LED Water bowls and Deck Laminars that shoot bursts of LED colored water. Please see attached pictures. What a mistake it was to use Atlas pools for our new pool. I would have given them zero stars since we have a pool. It finished and they're not standby their contractual warranty and not responding. We have been trying to get Atlas to finish this project since July and have been forgotten about or ignored. Now the communication is completely cut off on their end. We had remained understanding and forgiving time and time again. The work is sloppy and in areas not complete. Theres pieces falling off around the waterfall. There's holes in the coping and no grout in areas of our paving. There's a chipped tile from one of the patio workers. We even had a supervisor, Art, come to our house who explained that to get things cleaner for US to use acid to clean up the messy job since they likely wouldn't get it done. I'm sorry but it's not our job to clean up the job. He told us he or another supervisor would be there next week to fix it all. Brad Wemple the owner tells him to bring the coping to fix it and he showed up without it and says he will be back next week. NOTHING. This was in AUGUST. So we reach out again and then I was told that they have to wait until they another job in our area to finish ours. What? So then I reach out again and again and nobody responds. Then we got a letter from our village that states the work hasn't been finished so the permit is out of date. We are in a new community and other neighbors went with different pool companies based on our experience and we have total pool envy. They communicate and the work is CLEAN and FINISHED: we were told at the beginning by Brad Chambers "we may not be the most affordable but our work is the highest quality so you'll pay more." Pool built 7 years ago and had 2 leaks which we noticed because they did not do an auto fill which means we have to fill pool with the garden hose. Contacted the owner after we discovered this but was ignored .. I guess auto-fill is an option. We have had 3 pools built and no problems (auto-fill automatically included) and had no problems. We have been under contract for almost a year and a half. The design and pool concept are amazing. Atlas just seems to be completely overwhelmed. They have apparently outgrown themselves. Almost no communications throughout most of the build. They can't seem to complete any phase of the pool on time, but they had a ton of excuses why (never their issue). They do have a couple great guys in the field but they are handcuffed by poor scheduling and incomplete or no answers. I have had a substantial leak in my pool since August and I am still filling my pool daily. If you are building a pool, I would recommend you doing it yourself before hiring Atlas. Atlas is the worst pool company there is. RUN do not walk from them. Just spent a lot of money for a pool. Over a year later we have water but the whole thing doesn't work. There's got to be a leak somewhere. When we turn the spa on, all the water in the spa disappears. Then fills up again, eventually. Our pool and spa are now 8+ inches too low. The bubblers we have won't work. It tries to turn on every 1.5 minutes and then shuts off. The pool water is so low, now the pumps are not circulating water, so everything is just sitting there. And they won't come out for another week to assess what's happening. Tried to call our warranty specialist but she went to lunch at 2pm. Called back twice after 3pm. Left multiple messages. Never heard back. And oh DON'T EVEN get me started on the disaster of the last year just trying to get it built. One contractor came over to finish his job. My windows were open, and I just hear him say "Wow. Atlas is getting really sloppy now." and he had to call his boss to say he couldn't do his job until Atlas cleaned up their mess and did the work properly. The gas pipe was put in wrong, so they had to rip up travertine, and now there's still a huge hole in our deck. Electrical was messed up several times. The list goes on and on. And on. Customer service? None. Communication? None. Please, please do yourself a favor and DO NOT hire Atlas. This has got to stop. I posted a truthful FB review and got blocked, got harassed on my personal cell (got called a Karen and more), posts got deleted from other FB groups, so I'm posting here. Terrible experience. Started punchlist almost a month ago. Almost nothing has been resolved. It's hard enough to get guys out, and when they finally make it, unannounced and unscheduled, they do not complete their Punchlist. I am having issues with Atlas and the screen guys. We started our progress in April and finalized the end of May. they didn't start building until last week of August & filled it the week of Thanksgiving. in that 7 month process. this company has been less than customer focused, everything is an excuse. A project manager that wanted to argue with you when you asked him a question. I guess it was having a tough time. he quit smoking and drinking so he decided he to take it out on his customers. When I've emails the owner last week and copied several Atlas people his response to his team was, " will someone respond to this gentlemen, and not even address ME or my concerns, or even an apology, I guess It bothered him that i sent him an email. 30 days after they have received all their money and filled the pool. I still have a pile of dirt in my back yard, plaster on my tiles, uneven finish in pool, unpainted pool deck, and nothing but excuses. Their response to the wavy, pitted pool floor is "In regards to the uneven finish that is normal because it is a hand applied product it is impossible for them to get that perfectly flat" When they came to turn on the pool, we pointed out to the guy that there was white plaster all over the tiles and he said, " You can scrape them off with a putty knife" Hello, that's what i paid you 60K for....... the automated equipment we purchased from them, he said you don't need to worry about that. Their Customer service manager Cameron talks down to you. not a person in their organization can or will apologize or take ownership of any of their mistakes It appears it is not in their DNA. 7/16 - I cannot emphasize this enough. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They show pictures of high end pools. But in reality they will send out inexperienced contractors, build a very subpar pool, and completely ignore you once they have your money. They front load the contract to get most of the money before the follow up is done. Then they abandon you with an absolute mess. I posted pictures of how extremely bad the 'pool' they left us with is and the owner immediately had someone call us. That was surprising because it was next to impossible to get a callback from customer service when the construction was happening. They said they would have somebody out to evaluate. Then they asked for pictures and said they couldn't do anything based on the pictures. This company is absolute garbage. I have had three houses and put in three pools. My first two experiences were amazing. Atlas Pools was an unqualified, inexperienced disaster. What they left us with is not even close to what we asked for. We purchased a new home and had our pool built with Atlas Pools, not only did it take 18 months to have it built but once the pool was filled with water not only did we still have a "Bucket List" of items that they left behind to be addressed but the pool itself had issues with leakage. It's been 2 years now and the Spa still does not have the jets installed, the contructors plastered within the holes and we've been given the run around on how someone will be by to take care of that issue. The marmol from the spa to the jacuzzi was never placed, granted again it's been 2 years now and to top off my list now the heater they installed is not working and we've been waiting 4 weeks for Customer Service to get back to us and let us know when someone can come by and have it fixed. Michael came by and looked at property and quoted us @ $85,000, but said would be better if he could look at all options at his office. It was $120, 000- we declined and he called us back and said after speaking with owner, they could do for $106,000. Had problems with county approval and had to cancel- They kept our $10,000 deposit, but more importantly, when we went through contract for way to get deposit back, we found out Michael had changed depth from 6' to 5' and changed length of pool by 6'. If we hadnt cancelled, we would have come home one day to shorter and shallower pool and nothing we could do about as we had resigned without going through 30 pages of documents - I spoke to owner and refused to give any of our money back as he said he still had to Michael as he had done his job. I really don't like leaving poor reviews for companies, especially in times as uncertain as these. I understand there are labor and material shortages due to the current crisis that has been going on since March 2020. To think or say otherwise is ignorant. However, when you are blatantly told one thing to your face prior to signing a contract, and then told a completely different thing 2/3 into the process, I feel there is justification in claiming a "bait and switch" tactic was used, hence, the reason for the poor review. We decided to move forward with our pool project in February/March 2021 and received quotes from several contractors. At this time, pool demand was very high, but not yet at its peak. We knew we were going to be paying a premium, but i was ok with paying a little more for quality work and assurances that materials were on hand and ready to go. I've witnessed neighbor's pool be built with little to no communication, and witnessed their frustrations. I wanted to make sure that the contractor we chose was very transparent in their communication and scheduling, and that materials were in house and ready to go. When we went to the design center to meet with our sales representative, Andrea, prior to signing the contract, we were assured that Atlas Pools buys all of their equipment in bulk and everything they had contracts signed on would not see delays due to material shortages because everything was "on the shelf". We were also told that communication during construction was clear, concise and consistent. Unfortunately, neither of those things have come to be true. 95% of the communication regarding work status and scheduling was initiated by my wife or I texting our Superintendent. Only then were we given "guesstimates" as to when work would be scheduled. The plumbing for our pool was installed back in the middle of September 2021; only last week (middle of October 2021) was I advised that the pool heater wasn't installed because it is on back order, and they have no idea when it will be arriving. When I firmly stated that I was advised prior to signing a contract that the materials were in house and ready to go, I was told that at that time that was the case, but then they were used on other projects and now they are on back order. A clear misdirection from what we were promised. I find out today that there is a shortage on aluminum, so our screen is 4-6 weeks out at a minimum. This journey that started in March 2021 (at the contract signing) is now looking like it is going to drag into 2022. Unfortunately, the negative review doesn't stop there. There were additional items that we were flat out told one thing at the contract signing, and then completely reversed during construction. Both my wife and I asked if Atlas uses water trucks to fill the pools upon completion of construction, we were told "absolutely" and that is included in the scope of work. We had asked this very specifically, because we just watched our neighbors fill their pool with their garden hose over the course of 2 days and thought that was odd. When asked about it again during the construction, we were told that isn't the case. We use our spigots and garden hoses to fill the pool. Another "bait and switch" move. *Edit: The lack of communication has now pushed into the punch list phase. A list of items that need to be completed are now going unanswered. **Note: I had written this original review prior to the pool being completed. I had taken it down because I was threatened by their Sales Manager (Richard) that if I left it up, my pool heater installation would be delayed. I told him you are not going to come to give me the exact numbers because what you are describing is much higher than your competitors, and he was like: meh. Have two issues with the pool system. An actuator for a water feature has failed and, of course, one year out of warranty. An LED bubbler that was replaced once before has mold/algae growing in it and the spout split so the bubbler is useless as a feature. They refuse to offer any assistance other than full price and a whole one-year warranty. $650 to replace it every other year?! Avoid this company! read more

9/27/17 res This is a 1 year progress report for our unfinished new pool construction, rather than a review of the final product. Yes, 1 year! We were told it would take 8 to 12 weeks for completion. To put this in context, our pool is approximately 10'X20' ft. rectangle, 5ft. deep. Approx. 350 sq. ft. of decking. No water feature, no rock work, no outdoor kitchen, fire pit, etc... We signed the contract for our new pool construction over a year ago and we're still not done. And just 7 weeks ago Bryan, the general contractor told us we would be swimming in 4 weeks... As of this writing, our pool still has no pebble-tec, needs spa/ plaster repairs/finishing and the decking was completed just a few days ago. In fairness we decided not to use coping and decking materials that Atlas used in all their other jobs, which contributed to a small portion of the time delays. Our sales guy, Fred was helpful throughout, however my wife and I did have to hunt down the materials we wanted to use as we did not want the usual Travertine, stone pavers or similar. Fred was helpful ordering the materials we found. The job has been riddled with delays, excuses, sub contractors arguing with me and my neighbors over parking and it's very common for several days to go by without seeing or talking to anyone from Atlas. On average, the workers will work about 1 day every 1 to 2 weeks. The general contractor has rarely ever called us to let us know if or when someone will be by to work on the pool resulting in me having to come out at 7am to tell the workers to move their vehicles so I can get my car out of the garage to go to work. It's also very hit or miss if the general contractor will be here before or while a job is being completed resulting a few jobs having to be redone. The pics below were taken the day of writing this review. I'll post more as the job continues to be completed... UPDATE: 1/10/18 We've used our pool/spa several times over the past couple months and are excited we've been able to do so. However, as I write this update my spa is empty and there are still several issues with the quality of work. 1) The decking grout comes out with every light rainfall and/ or hosing/cleaning. Atlas has tried to fix this two times, but it keeps happening. Obviously they are using the wrong type of grout, repeatedly. 2) The same 12x16 piece of coping on the spillway keeps coming loose. Atlas has just fixed this for the second time this week. 3) The Pebble-tec in the spa is very splotchy. This is partially due to a repair that was poorly executed. The spa seats were various dimensions (wavy), which varied by 1-inch + in various places. To correct this, Atlas had to grind down the pebble-tec and spot repair different areas. These repaired areas were much lighter in color. They said it would get better over the next 30 days, which it did not. Now, as I write this update, my spa is completely empty and has been for the last 10 days (10 days ago the GC said someone would be out in a day to fix it). read more

Do NOT to use, Atlas Pools of Central Florida Our pool was filled towards the end of August this year and the finish looked terrible as soon as it was filled with water. After brushing and treating without the stains fading, Atlas said that the pool would need to be drained and acid washed. They came sometime in the 2nd week of September to do so. Once the pool was filled for second time, it again had a lot of stains. Not imperfections or blemishes. Large stains and streaks. Atlas again said that it needed to be drained and acid washed because the first person who acid washed it didn't do a good job. So against or better judgement, we allowed them to drain and acid wash our pool again. This is the end result. I waited for a bit to contact Atlas pools because we had already been threatened by their owner several times and I just wanted to be done with them in fear of retaliation by him. After talking to a lot of people, I decided that I needed to contact Atlas because we paid a lot of money for our pool and it should not look this terrible. I contacted them today and they are stating that it is not covered by warranty because our "pool chemistry is not correct", (even though it is totally normal for a new pool and would not cause these types of stains). So their answer was to contact pinch a penny to recommend a chemical to fix it. Meanwhile, it's been like this since day one of water! Please whatever you do, stay away from Atlas Pools. Let my pictures be the proof you need that not only are they a terrible pool builder, but they don't stand behind their work and have the most awful customer service I've ever experienced. read more

It's been 10 months and my pool is not finished and I am being threatened with a lien on my house unless I pay. Every renovation was finished poorly and damaged something else on my house or my lawn. They also tried to scam me into replacing a working pool motor. They will not communicate and they will not work with you and you will be left with something that looks worse than what you had. read more

Atlas pools does NOT deliver as promised. This is a Third Class pool company at best. Not a custom pool builder. I have complained about the quality of work, yet nobody will return my calls or follow up to try and resolve. It looks like I will have to go to arbitration to try and get what I paid for. Beware of a pool company that wants full payment before a finished job. I do NOT recommend Atlas Pools. I wish I had never done business with them. read more

Read the reviews people! They have low stars for a reason. Pay attention! Worse company in history. Worse service I've encountered of all time. Atlas is by far the most unreliable pool builders. My experience have been nothing shorter than a nightmare that won't end. Ty the Project is useless and rude. He argues with you and could care less if you need him. His response is "we are building other pools." After reading the other reviews it's obvious they do this to all customers. Sad that management fails to step in and look at the staff. They should be reported by the better business bureau. It took a year to build my pool. Still cannot swim in my pool. Pool was leaking, massive water bill they will not take accountability for, sloppy pool building job and most importantly my pool color is wrong. Even though it's in the contract I wanted blue the color is a dirty green. They will not correct it. In fact, no one calls you back and the project manager is useless. I wrote to the VP twice and no reply. Stay away!!!!!!!!! You will regret going with them. My neighbor pulled out after they saw the nightmare I've been dealing with. Worse pool builders in history. We are at 23 months since our permit was turned in and STILL can not use our pool! Was told 4-5 months! MONTHS between each step in the process, TERRIBLE communication (even to the point where we've tried to talk to the pres of the company and were told that he doesn't take customer calls!)... And now that we finally have the pool filled with water, we have a leak(s) AND underground pipes crossed! Trying to find out when these major things will get fixed is like every issue we've had - no response or "pass the buck" or "over promise and under deliver". And now they are "holding hostage" our smart technology because they say we owe $400 for work they did NOT do! I could go on... My husband has spent literally hundreds of hours working on this pool because of the slack of this company! We just want it to be done! read more

If you want quality service, go elsewhere. A good bit higher cost than their competitors. I thought that since Viera builders was using them for their homes in Viera, they were going to be professional and timely and worth the extra cost. Paid a lot for a fairly average pool, and had to wait a month after the hole was dug to see any work. When the pool was finally done, extremely poor follow up with their warranty and subcontractors, leading to more than a 3 month delay in full usability. One excuse that was used was waiting for good weather, even though the weather remained sunny and fair. Entirely unacceptable. There's better value at equal quality out there. Seek it out instead of Atlas Pools. One bright spot is that the job superintendent was generally responsive and attempted to assist when able. read more

Terrible job! 7 months after completion punch list no completed. During installation they cut my neighbors water and sewer line and told me I was responsible. It wasn't until I escalated the issue that they agreed to pay to fix the problem. Days later, they cut the neighbors cable line. Company representatives are condescending and provide different answers depending on the day. Buyer beware. I spoke with Brad and he told me his company does not care about reviews. Today, he told me he would take of the problems, then told me he is terminating their relationship with me. Then told me to go to arbitration at the cost of 3K. This pool has been a year long disaster and I guess now they have decided to walk away and not complete the job they were paid 85K to do. To add insult to injury, they took pictures of my pool which they told me they were for internal training and quality purposes only. They have posted these pictures to their site and social media with out my permission and told me too bad they did not break any laws. This company is morally bankrupt and unethical. Not to mention abusive when questioned. Please stay away from them. They promise you the world and do not keep their word. read more
